Pet Care Experience I’ve always loved animals and have years of experience caring for dogs of all ages and personalities. Whether it’s a playful puppy or a gentle senior, I take the time to understand each dog’s routine, quirks, and needs. What sets me apart is my calm, caring approach — I treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m attentive to details, patient with shy or anxious dogs, and make sure each one feels safe, loved, and happy while you’re away.

This was our first time using Rover.com as we have been lucky enough to have friends and family members look after our 11 year old cockapoo Rosie in the past. I was a little nervous to leave her with someone new however, I got in touch with Leigh and after a brief chat we took Rosie to meet her at her home. Leigh and her family were welcoming and lovely and keen to know Rosie’s specific needs. She stayed with Leigh for 6 nights and we had daily updates and photos which reassured us and put our minds at rest. Rosie seemed perfectly happy and settled with Leigh and her family in their home. Communication was prompt and regular and when we picked Rosie up, Leigh seemed genuinely attached to Rosie and it seemed like that had both had a lovely time together. We would use Leigh again without a doubt and would recommend her highly to anyone who is need of a dog sitter.

Leigh came to meet my dog before my dog’s stay - much appreciated. The weather was extremely hot so she kept her cool and safe. Leigh kept in touch during the day and was considerate and flexible with pick up time.

Leigh has been house sitting and dog sitting our white Labrador several time with her kids. The longest time was 3 weeks. Leigh genuinely loves dogs and knows how to care for them. Romy truly has the best time with her and her 2 boys who constantly play with her. They would have the longest walks everyday, sometimes up 2 hours. Plenty of pictures sent and updates through her stay. On return the house is always impeccable. I could not recommend Leigh enough!

Schedule
Pet care is a regular part of my week — I love starting and ending my days with walks, playtime, and cuddles. I plan my schedule around the pets I look after to make sure they get my full attention and consistent care. Whether it’s daily walks, drop-ins, or weekend stays, I always make time to keep each pet’s routine as normal and happy as possible.

When pets stay with me, they’re treated like part of the family. I make sure they have a comfortable space to relax, regular walks, and plenty of attention and affection. I follow each pet’s usual routine — feeding times, walks, and any special needs — to help them feel settled and secure. I keep my home clean, calm, and pet-friendly, with safe areas for play and rest. Whether it’s cuddles on the sofa or fun in the garden, I make sure every pet feels loved and cared for while they’re here.
A typical day
I love keeping pets active, happy, and entertained. Depending on their personality, that might mean long walks in the park, gentle strolls for older dogs, or fun games like fetch and tug-of-war. For quieter moments, I enjoy cuddles, brushing, and relaxed playtime indoors. I always tailor activities to each pet’s energy level and preferences — making sure they get just the right balance of exercise, stimulation, and love.

- Before caring for a pet, I like to know as much as possible about their routine and personality. Things like their feeding schedule, favourite activities, energy level, and how they behave around other pets or people are all really helpful. It’s also important to know if they have any medical needs, allergies, fears (like loud noises), or special instructions for walks or playtime. The more I know about what makes them comfortable and happy, the better I can care for them like they’re my own.
