“Natasha was great with my dog Rauru. Every day he stayed with her, he came back happy and with enough stimulation to send him to bed without a fuzz. We'll definitely book Natasha again for a next time.”

“Gigi & son looked after chester for 2 days for me and I will definitely have Gigi to look after Chester again soon,I found her very caring & nurturing and Chester loved her and her son. chester had a great time with lots of playing and walkies, he was a happy pooch when I picked him up. Thankyou so much.”

“We would have no hesitation recommending Gabriella. She was very prompt in correspondence, flexible and accommodating with the day care and Brodie seemed to settle quickly and had a lovely time. Thank you!”

“Michele was wonderful! We found her to be a very friendly dog-sitter with great sympathy for our (mostly Dutch trained) dog and her separation anxiety. This was our dog's first time with any dog-sitter, so it was new to both the dog and to us. (We came over from the Netherlands to attend my sister's wedding and needed a dog-sitter.) At the pre-meet, our dog took a liking to Michele straightaway. On the day of the wedding, Michele did everything she could to distract our doggo. Michele also kept us updated with messages and photos, which helped us relax and enjoy the wedding day more as well. If we ever need a dog-sitter in the UK in the future, we will definitely reach out to Michele again.”

“Zsuzzana was absolutely amazing as always! We had a few last minute changes but she was very gracious and helped us with our situation! Our dog loves Z and is always excited to go back”

“Left my 6 month old dachshund with June today, and picked up a very happy, very sleepy puppy! She’s clearly had lots of fun and was even trying to head back in to June’s. Lots of updates and pictures throughout the day, will book again! Thanks!”

“Emma and Nathan were brilliant. We’d never used Rover before so were a bit worried with Oakley still being a puppy but they put my mind at ease, and sent lots of photos throughout the day! He’s still in training so we weren’t sure how full on it would be to look after him but they clearly knew how to handle him so we’re so grateful and especially at last minute. We’d definitely use Emma and Nathan again if they’d be happy to have him ☺️”

“Dominique was such a great sitter for Frankie. He can be a nervous boy but she put us at ease and was really sweet and understanding. Her dog Doug is an absolute gent and really took in Frankie under his wing. Will definitely book again.”

“Natália is an absolutely fantastic sitter. She looked after my greyhound companion for the first time on one of the hottest days of the year, and she was so careful about keeping her comfortable in the heat. I got regular updates by text, including photos. I could tell Georgia had fun with Natália- she looked so happy in all the images. Natália is experienced with dogs and is a very gentle, caring person. She intuitively understood how to best look after Georgia, who is an unusual dog and has some quite specific needs. I will definitely go to Natália again, and would not hesitate to recommend her to others.”

“Hai was excellent at communicating, very friendly and our dog Rizzo loved her! Hai sent us lots of updates and pictures during the visit which we really appreciated and made us feel very comfortable that Rizzo was being well looked after. Thank you so much Hai!!”

About: Hi! I’ve grown up with dogs all my life. I have had dogs of all sizes from large labradors to tiny Pomeranians. I have a dog of my own named Winston who is sweet, cuddly and fully trained. He is a little shy but once he gets to know your dog, they will be best friends 😊 I am fully available to give all my attention to your lovely dog. I am an early bird too so I can walk your dog before, during or after work 😄 I live in a 2 story house which gives dogs a lot of space to move around. We have a closed fence in our backyard with artificial grass but as a preference, I like to take dogs outside for a walk or to our front yard where there is real grass. We have a lot of dog toys to choose from and fresh water when needed.
About: I’m a lifelong animal lover who has been surrounded by pets for as long as I can remember. I’ve always had cats in my home and I’ve also spent plenty of time around dogs of all sizes and personalities, so I understand their needs, body language, and the joy of a good walk and cuddle. In addition to my personal experience, I work at an animal charity, which has given me the chance to deepen my knowledge about pet care and welfare. This work has only strengthened my love for animals and my commitment to giving them the attention, patience, and affection they deserve. Whether it’s making sure your pet gets their daily walks, sticking to feeding routines, or just keeping them company while you’re away, I’ll treat your pet like one of my own. I work from home, which means I can spend plenty of time with your pets throughout the day. They’ll never be left alone for long, and I’m able to keep to their usual routines without any problem. I also live right by a beautiful park, so daily walks and playtime outside are easy and enjoyable. Whether your pet needs a few short potty breaks or longer walks to burn off energy, I can fit them in one or two times a day. Your furry friend will get lots of attention, care, and companionship while you’re away! I have a fenced yard where the dog can go out to the toilet and I am able to clean up after them. I also live on my own so they will be in a nice quiet environment in the house.
About: I’ve been doing dog sitting through borrow my doggy and rover for the last 6 years in London, I’ve just moved to St Albans with my partner and we both work hybrid, so have plenty of time on our hands for your furry friends. Very good with keeping to training and routine. I have had dogs and cats all of my life, but taken care in a professional sense over the last few years. I am currently working from home most of the week, as does my partner. We see this as a great excuse to get out for walks and explore the local area. I have a very safe flat within a gated community, I’m always able to keep an eye on dogs and my partner is regularly here too to help (she is also an experienced dog sitter). We move all plants out of the pets way when they are visiting and we are very close to a large park. Happy to provide pup dates and do facetime tours of the house if needed.
About: I've always loved animals, especially small dogs, growing up with them from a young age. I've looked after our own Pomeranian for the last 4 years and would love to help you out by looking after your small breed - they'd literally have someone to talk to during their stay. I work from home, so will be home the majority of the time. As a Pom owner, I do walks for him already, so an additional dog or two would fit seamlessly into the daily routine. We have a fenced garden for when the weather holds and if it rains I will dry your dog after walks if that's suitable for you. Our dog has total freedom of the house to wander around and be with me in any room, so I would extend the same rules to any visitors we may have.
About: I've cared for dogs since I was a child with the family dog. I've had experience caring for guide dog puppies, so I'm well prepared for any puppy antics. I'm currently searching for work so my schedule may change, but I will update my profile and availability if it changes. Otherwise, I am available all day everyday except Friday mornings. I live with one friendly cat who will most likely keep to herself. I have a green garden with a fence and I live close to many parks perfect for dog walks.

Haiqing is so accommodating and really loves animals. She was brilliant with my Labrador and being the first time with her , she really took the care to make sure Mochi was comfortable and happy. She also updated me regularly with photos and info on the day. It is rare for my lab to bond so quickly but she did with Haiqing

June was absolutely amazing. We asked to drop off Bertie super early and she was very accommodating. Bertie is very nervous usually at dog sitters and sometimes he never warms up. He walked up instantly with June after I left and she sent so many updates which really put me at ease
I highly recommend Gigi!👍🏻 Due to an unexpected family emergency, I needed a pet sitter for my dog, on very short notice. I was so grateful to find Gigi. She responded quickly and immediately gave me peace of mind during a very stressful time. Gigi took excellent care of Far and kept me updated with regular messages, photos, and videos. Seeing how happy and relaxed Far was made me feel completely at ease, allowing me to focus on my family emergency. Gigi is caring, reliable, and truly loves animals. I’m incredibly thankful for her help and will definitely book with her again. Highly recommended!🌟

We left our 4 month old Maltipoo Charlie with Natasha for a full day this weekend. It was the first time we have left him with anyone and it couldn't have gone better. Natasha is a very friendly and experienced dog owner and so we felt confident leaving Charlie in her capable hands. Charlie had a great time playing with Natasha's dog as well as the other dogs who were there at the time. He left feeling happy and tired. We will definitely be using Natasha again!

Megan and her partner instantly made Ezra feel at home and sent regular detailed updates and photos throughout his stay, putting our mind at ease. Ezra thoroughly enjoyed his stay and all the special attention, particularly the tummy tickles. We will definitely use Megan again and would highly recommend Megan and her partner to other dog owners.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
