Ally was amazing with our 20 month old cocker spaniel. You can tell that Ally really loves the animals she looks after and cares for them like they’re her own. She kept in contact and sent us pictures and videos and it was so lovely to see our pup having such a wonderful time. Ally has a beautiful large garden which is ideal and I know our dog loved! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ally. Thanks again.

About: I absolutely love dogs, I used to have one of my own and she was irreplaceable. I cant imagine getting another dog, the pain of loosing her was too big. She was a small chihuhaha with big personality, noisy but friendly. I understand the special relationship between you and your dog and will treat it with care, like I wish someone else treated my own dog. There is plenty of green spaces around Chesham where we will have walks. I am an active person, like staying outdoors and taking a long walks, having a dog buddy as a companion would fit perfectly with my lifestyle and love for dogs. I am mature and responsible person, I work from home from Mon-Friday, have weekends off so have plenty of time when I would be more than happy to take care of your dog. I work from home full time as an IT contractor and manage my own breaks and working hours so plenty of flexibility in terms of walk times. I would keep your pet with me in my office at all times. I live in terraced house, my office is on the first floor

About: I have always grown up with dogs and cats in my family home and have personally owned a beagle for the last 7 years. I have taken care of dogs for the last 6 years whether that is family or friend's dogs. During this time, I have gained experience in looking after the needs of older dogs, as well as puppy care. I have covered a number of dog and cat services including boarding, walking, feeding and sitting. Being the owner of a very high-maintenance Beagle gave me more experience about the love and care all pets need. I will provide a home from home care for your dogs and I will look after them like they are my own, providing walks in the countryside and affection and play time at home within our family. I will happily provide photos/updates throughout your dogs stay to keep you informed and provide some reassurance. I work Monday- Friday from home and so there is no need for your dog to be left at home alone during their stay. Dogs will be walked twice daily to ensure they are kept happy and content during their stay I have a fully fenced large garden with a large green for walking only 5 minutes down the road. I own a 7-year-old socialised and friendly beagle who will keep your dog company. Dogs are a huge part of my family and daily life so your dog won’t be just another animal/pet in my house. They will become a member of the family and so will be allowed free-roam of the house and garden. They will be treated as one of my own.

About: Providing quality pet care requires a combination of knowledge, attention, and affection. Throughout my experience, I have learned that every animal has its own unique needs, preferences, and personalities. Whether it's feeding, exercising, grooming, or administering medication, I prioritize safety, comfort, and happiness in every aspect of pet care. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and small mammals, and I always strive to adapt to their specific requirements. From walks in the park to playing with toys, I make sure to engage with each pet in a way that suits their energy level and interests. I am also comfortable handling emergencies and providing basic first aid when necessary. Above all, I understand that pets are not just animals, but valued members of the family. I treat them with the same respect, care, and compassion that I would want for my own furry companions. I am currently self-employed, a university student working from home, and fully flexible. Happy to take same-day bookings at the last minute. I am available seven days a week and during holidays. When caring for pets at my home, I provide a safe and comfortable environment for the pet. This includes a designated sleeping area, access to water and food, and appropriate toys and bedding. I also follow the pet's regular feeding and exercise schedule and provide appropriate attention and affection. Playing with the pet, grooming them, and taking them for walks or outdoor activities. I will be fully aware of any medical or behavioural needs the pet may have and administer any necessary medication or treatments as directed by the pet's owner. Overall, I prioritize the pet's well-being and ensure they feel happy, comfortable, and loved while in my care.

We are so pleased to have found Georgie, she is excellent with our young dog Billie. Billie warmed to her straight away and i feel its because Georgie has a very calm presence and knows exactly how to manage her excitable energy. Georgie was completely un-phased and confident when looking after our dog and that provided us with the reassurance we needed, to know she was being well looked after. I would highly recommend Georgie.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 16,032 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Chiltern. About 86% of Chiltern sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Chiltern commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
