Ed and Nat were great, they were really accommodating to meet Rufus beforehand so we knew he’d be okay. The communication was fantastic, they kept us updated throughout the day and Rufus seemed to have a good day. Would definitely recommend and use again!

Ally was amazing with our 20 month old cocker spaniel. You can tell that Ally really loves the animals she looks after and cares for them like they’re her own. She kept in contact and sent us pictures and videos and it was so lovely to see our pup having such a wonderful time. Ally has a beautiful large garden which is ideal and I know our dog loved! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ally. Thanks again.

About: I grew up with dogs (own, family and friends) and am confident caring for them. I understand that every dog is different and will listen and follow any specific requirements / asks for when I look after your beloved pup. You can expect dog walks, play time and plenty of cuddles when your dog is in my care. I usually like to meet with you and your dog beforehand so we can make sure both are happy to move forward. For boarding and day care - please be aware I have a small 4 year old female Maltipoo, Mya who is well socialised and gets along well with various dogs! I also have a good sized garden and all areas downstairs are accessible so your dog can roam. Tue, Wed, Thur - I can provide full attention to your furry friend. Between 2-3 walks a day, depending on needs. Thank you! Tue, Wed, Thur - I can provide full attention to your pup. 2-3 walks a day, plenty of play and cuddles, depending on the dogs needs. I have a secure garden and a small Malti poo named Mya who your dogs can play with. Dogs are free to roam downstairs in house. I’d love to learn more about your pup and cater to what they need.

The dog was safe and very happy with Sarah and her lovely family. Anxious Watson was treated with a lot of gentle love and support during her stay. Sarah asked about all her preferences and routines, and listened to the answers. Dog was treated as part of the family. I have no hesitation in recommending Sarah, and hope to need her again soon

Jennie and her family did a great job looking after Tia. They were thoughtful and kind, playing games with Tia to help her settle in. They also made a sensible decision to return home when Tia was unsure about a new walk. Would definitively recommend!

This is my first time ever leaving my boy in someone else's care, so you can imagine how anxious I was feeling. Quite quickly, at our initial pre-booking meet, Jessie put me at ease. I found her to be incredibly knowledgeable about dogs, reassuring, confident and very caring. I knew I had found the right person to take good care of him! Mace stayed with Jessie for a day, to get him familiarised for his upcoming boarding It went very well and she kept me updated throughout. Based on this one-day stay I would recommend Jessie.

Christine has been amazing. She has been looking after our dog during the hottest week of the year and catering to his physical needs as he has a bad back. She has also made sure he stays cool and calm. I have had picture updates whilst travelling for work which has been lovely. I would strongly recommend her and trust her with your furry family members. She is a true animal lover 🧡. Melvin will be looking forward to the next time he comes to see you!

Tilly is amazing with my 3 year old cockapoo. She has great communication, sends photos and my Vinnie loves her. Vinnie gets long, active walks, indoor play and lots of cuddles as only sleeps when someone is sat down. Highly recommend Tilly to look after your pooch.

We are so pleased to have found Georgie, she is excellent with our young dog Billie. Billie warmed to her straight away and i feel its because Georgie has a very calm presence and knows exactly how to manage her excitable energy. Georgie was completely un-phased and confident when looking after our dog and that provided us with the reassurance we needed, to know she was being well looked after. I would highly recommend Georgie.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Chiltern on Rover is £31.05 per day (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 15,917 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Chiltern. About 87% of Chiltern sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Chiltern commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
