“Edward and Natalie were brilliant with Peggy. Made sure to familiarise themselves with Peggy's routine in advance, adapted their care to the hot weather, took beautiful pictures that I might well print and were great at keeping me informed more generally. Peggy was clearly really relaxed in their company. Would definitely recommend.”

About: I've spent my whole life caring for animals, including my own dog and two cats, giving me a solid understanding of day-to-day pet care, and the responsibilities that come with it. I've also helped train a friend's puppy into an intelligent, strong herding dog, which naturally required a lot of attention/supervision and ample physical and mental exercise. I currently work part-time, so I'm home for large parts of the week and able to give pets plenty of attention, playtime and regular toilet breaks. I'm also a long-distance runner and live being outdoors, so getting out for walks, fresh air, and exercise fits naturally into my routine, so no matter the intensity, I'm happy to match each pet's needs. My home backs onto a large field with lots of open space, so when appropriate I can offer pets a great area to explore on-lead and enjoy some fresh air.
“Helen and Kurt were absolutely lovely and I felt very relaxed about leaving Bongo with them. He clearly had a great time and was very happy! I also appreciated being sent photos so I could see he was enjoying his holiday. Thanks so much for looking after him.”

“Jane took such wonderful care of my dog, Pumpkin, while I was away. She went above and beyond—sending regular updates, giving him plenty of love, and making sure he felt completely at home. Pumpkin came back happy, relaxed, and clearly adored her. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Thank you, Jane!”

“Words are simply not enough to express my gratitude for how both Matt and indeed his family cared for my fun loving but energetic English Springer spaniel. Matt certainly went above and beyond in looking after my dog. I simply can't recommend him highly enough. In my experience Matt has set a new standard, by which all others should be measured.”

“Helena was a wonderful host for Millie for two nights. It was a bonus that her dog is also a Tibetan Terrier like Millie! We recieved lots of photos and reassurance that Millie was settled and happy and would absolutely take her for a holiday with Helena again.”

“First time using this app and also leaving our little Leo whilst we were away on holiday. I must say that Lydia and James looked after our pup as if it were their own; they updated us daily on his little adventures at the park and at home with videos and pictures. Comms was great, they got back to us straight away and arranged a meet and greet in their home. Really put our minds at ease so we could enjoy our holiday rather than being worried about our puppy. Thank you both, Will be booking again with Lydia without hesitation.”

“Sandra and Brian were wonderful with our dogs . They are a very caring kind couple We were nervous leaving our dogs as they were used to staying with family when we went away . We needn’t have worried . Sandra and Brian understood our concerns and sent us photos and updates which put our minds at rest. Our dogs had a wonderful time . Thank you Brian and Sandra .”

“My furr Babies stayed for the first time and I've just picked them up and got them home and they're as happy as they always are. Chloe kept me posted with photos of walks and cuddles. Very happy with her care!!”

About: We’ve taken care of dogs for a long time, from family and friends pets to new found dog friends. We have looked after young energetic dogs as well as elderly nervous dogs. We love dogs and will treat your dog as if they are our own. We are mainly around on weekends, and can spend the whole day with the dog(s). We are also happy to accommodate overnight stays if needed. We have a small fenced garden, we don’t own any dogs of our own. We have hard flooring downstairs. The dog is welcome to sleep in our bedroom if they’d prefer.
“So glad I booked with Becky for an overnight stay for our frenchie Blue. He felt right at home straightaway thanks to the warm welcome and lots of love and fuss. Becky sent plenty of updates and photos and kept us up to date on how he was doing. Highly recommended and will definitely book again!”
“Winnie loves staying with Kelly. From the moment she can get in the door she is happy! Kelly sends lots of photos and it’s great to see how settled Winnie is. It’s a home from home…thank you! 😊”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and owned them my whole life, and I’ve always loved being around animals. Over the years, I’ve cared for other people’s pets through walking, sitting, and working at a kennel, so I’m comfortable with all breeds, ages, and personalities. I studied Bioveterinary Science at university and also completed a PhD in the control of infectious diseases, which has given me a strong understanding of animal health, welfare, and behaviour. I now have my own dog, Pip, who is an 8-year-old whippet. He’s very sweet and gentle and loves the company of other dogs. I’m calm, reliable, and happy to follow any routines, training, or special instructions to make sure your pet feels safe, relaxed, and well cared for while you’re away. I work from home around three days a week (the days vary), and I’ll update my availability weekly. Your dog will be cared for like one of my own while they’re with me and will never be left unattended. I’m also usually around on weekends, so I can often help out then too My garden is fully fenced, so dogs can safely enjoy time outside. I’m also happy to follow any routines or instructions you leave — from walks and feeding to anything else — to keep things familiar, consistent, and stress-free for your pet.
“Angel had the best time with Kelly at her family home. Angel had 2 full days and 1 night with Kelly and came home very happy and tired! She had a garden to enjoy and lots of love from Kelly's family. We had an introduction meet 2 days before and everything went very smoothly. Angel had walks, cuddles, food and Love. Thank you from both of us 😇😊”

“Our dog had a wonderful time over Christmas! Ksenia was so accommodating & easy going. It was also so reassuring knowing Kitty (our dog) was so happy with all her new friends.”

“It’s a very nice experience with Erinoulla and family. We have a 3months old puppy, Daisy and we were very nervous to keep her with anyone. But Erinoulla is very experienced and trustworthy and she kept our puppy like we keep her at our home. Erinoulla kept sending me videos and photos of Daisy during her stay with Daisy…? I appreciate her every effort to keep me and Daisy happy. She is a lovely lady and we definitely contact her again in near future when we’ll go abroad. Last but not the least, Ruby is a lovely member of Erinoulla’s family who put up with Daisy during those days and they formed a bond with each other…?? Love from all of us to Ruby, the gentle giant ?”

Chiltern dog owners share their Rover experiences
Matt and Jen are fantastic. Herbie, our cockapoo, had the most wonderful time with them. We were a little nervous using a dog boarder for the first time, and over the Christmas period whilst visiting family on the other side of the world, but they were amazing. From the regular photos and messages to the obvious love, care and attention the whole family gave to Herbie, our minds were immediately put at rest. We would not hesitate to use them again and highly recommend them to anyone.

We were so happy with Holly. Rufus, our mini schnauzer boarded with her for a walk. Holly really cared for him, took him for play dates and sent pictures of him snuggling, having fun and playing. Just brilliant. He’s home now and very attached to the squeaky rubber bone that she let him keep as a pressy. I’d thoroughly recommend Holly to anyone. Hopefully Rufus will be able to make a return trip one day.

Huge thanks to Georgia for taking great care of Daisy. This was our first booking with a dog sitter as usually we use friends to dog sit so felt a tad apprehensive but Georgia was brilliant, kind and caring and we knew Daisy was going to well looked after during her time away from us. Thank you Georgia for your care and kindness to Daisy. The regular photos and texts were lovely too!
