“Sonia looked after our cockapoo Alfie for 12 days. She was incredible. She took all our points into detail and followed his usual routine. Alfie was showered with care and love and was very well looked after. We received daily videos and photos of Alfie playing out doors and playing with Sonias own dog. Any queries she had she did not hesitate to communicate. I cannot recommend Sonia highly enough, she's great and we would certainly use her services again. Thank you so much!”

“Had my dog short notice after being let down by another sitter, my dog had such a lovely time and was so happy with this lady. She has amazing space for the dogs and will definitely use again. My dog was very looked after. Thank you so much.”

“100% would recommend Cheuk Yi C. I booked for two weeks to look after my mums Jack Russell whilst she is in hospital. Cheuk goes out of her way to make your pet feel safe and comfortable and provides comprehensive daily reports along with video clips so you can see your pet enjoying there stay. My mum really enjoys these video's and it reassures her how well Penny is being looked after and enjoying her stay, she has even made new friends with Cheuk's pets. We have since extended the booking and will definitely use this service again.”

“Shivani and her dog Kai took good care of Archie and he was so happy and relaxed upon return. Totally recommend Shivani for taking care of your dog. We will definitely rebook boarding with her.”

“This was Dusty's second stay with Veena and it was so wonderful to go on holiday with the peace of mind that she was in such good hands. From the moment I dropped her off she was excited to be back there and it was so reassuring that Veena remembered all her quirks and needs so well. From all the videos and photos it was evident she was having a great time and was relaxed and being so loved and well cared for. I would definitely recommend Veena to anyone! I'm sure Dusty is already looking forward to going back again sometime! Veena also gave her special birthday treats too, lovely personal touch. Thank you!!!!”

About: I’ve always had a genuine love for dogs and have hands-on experience caring for them. I recently became a foster carer, providing a safe, patient, and loving environment for dogs while they prepare for their forever homes. This has given me experience with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and needs, helping them settle into a new environment and build trust. I’m confident caring for both large and small breeds, and I particularly love bigger dogs. Through fostering, I’ve learned the importance of routine, positive reinforcement, exercise, and making each dog feel comfortable and secure. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, administering basic care, or simply providing companionship, I treat every dog as if they were my own. Dogs fit into my schedule very naturally. I plan my days around making sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. I have a flexible routine that allows me to provide regular walks, playtime, toilet breaks, feeding, and lots of affection throughout the day. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playing games, or simply relaxing with company, I’ll make sure their individual needs are met. My priority is making every dog feel safe, comfortable, and part of the family while they’re in my care. Im available for boarding all throughout the week Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. Before they arrive, I make sure my home is clean, secure, and free from anything that could be harmful. I take time to let each dog settle in at their own pace, allowing them to explore their new surroundings without pressure. I carefully follow your instructions regarding routines, feeding, walks, and any medical or behavioural needs, as keeping familiar routines helps dogs feel safe and relaxed. I use positive reinforcement, patience, and lots of reassurance to build trust, never forcing interactions if a dog is feeling nervous. As a foster carer for dogs trust, I’ve learned that every dog is different. Some settle in straight away, while others need a little more time. I’ll always adapt to their individual needs, giving them plenty of love, attention, and a calm environment so they can feel happy, confident, and secure throughout their stay. I’ll also keep you updated with regular messages and photos, so you know your pet is safe and enjoying their time with me.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Jade. From the very first meeting, when we visited her and met her family at their home, we felt completely at ease and confident that Oscar would be in safe hands while we were away on our family trip. Throughout his stay, Jade kept us reassured with regular updates and lovely photos, which meant so much to us. It was clear that Oscar was being well looked after and truly enjoying himself. When we collected him, he seemed so happy and settled – a real sign that he’d had the best time. We were extremely happy with the whole experience and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jade to anyone. We will certainly be booking with her again in the future. 😊”

Brenda was great with our dog Chino whilst we were away. She provided regular updates and pictures and any issue she resolved quickly and professionally. Chino played, was washed and bathed and given some cooling relaxing baths. Would highly recommend Brenda to anyone

I found Chiara to be a very pleasant person. Easy to get along with. This also extended to my dog Bolt staying with her. Bolt felt at ease being around and spending the period of time with Chiara whilst I was away for my holiday. I would have no hesitation re-booking again with Chiara should there been a need to do so. I would also have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone in need of dog sitting service should they be in need of such a service

We got to know Laura and her family before our holiday to give our Rottie Gracie a chance to know everyone and be settled as she is very nervous with strangers. It was peace of mind to know Gracie was in good hands and Laura kept us updated throughout her stay. We would highly recommend Laura. Thank you so much for taking good care of G. She been very quiet since coming home, think she is missing you all and of course Bella and Suzy.

Lily was extremely accommodating and very professional. We have never had a sitter in our home previously and we were very nervous. Lily exceeded our expectations. She took our two dogs to the park and sent photos of our fur-babies daily whilst we were away. Her love of animals is evident by the care she showed towards our pets not to mention she was a very respectful houseguest. We recommended Lily very highly to all dog owners and will definitely rebook.

Katy is the most fantastic dog sitter we have had for Tokyo. She has been considerate and kind consistently and I feel she goes above and beyond to provide care to our dog. She also provided regular updates and shared how much fun he was having. She offered stimulation and outstanding care to Tokyo. I am not hesitating to book again, such a peace of mind finding a great dog sitter. Thank you so much Katy, we were able to enjoy our holiday without a worry xxx

Roshni was absolutely wonderful. From the very start, she took genuine care of my pet and kept me in the loop with regular updates that really put my mind at ease. It was clear my pet was happy and well looked after while I was away. I highly recommend Roshni to anyone.
Vini was brilliant from the initial meet and greet with our dog Blu. The immediate contact and care for him was exceptional and throughout the duration of Blu’s stay. We’ve never left our pet dog with a dog sitter before, we felt so comfortable and reassured with daily updates while on holiday. Thank you Vini, Blu definitely enjoyed his stay! 🙂

Andrei was great at accommodating Dusty as a last minute request and was very reassuring, communicative and sent photos and videos showing Dusty having a wonderful time too. His set up is great and completely secure and Dusty seemed to be having a wonderful time, especially with the other dogs, and was well taken of. I would be happy to recommend and book again!

Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
