“Sykes had a glorious time at Amandeep’s. They have tons of spaces, a very caring family and very professional. Sykes was there for 10 days and when I picked him up, he looked happy, healthy and well taken care of. I would have 100% recommend.”

“Lovely as always! Very communicative, provides updates in the morning and the evening and always asks questions if they’re unsure of something. Casper loves going to Amy & Connor and I always know he’s going to be very well locked after”

“Thanks Mohitha for looking after our cockapoo Cece when we were away on holidays for a few days recently. Mohitha and her wonderful family did a fantastic job in their lovely home. It was clear Cece enjoyed her time as we got pictures and videos every day which was great to ensure us that she was being well looked after. I’d highly recommend Mohitha if you need a pet sitter. Five stars from me.”

“Couldn't have asked for better dog sitters! Alissa and her parents were fantastic. Lots of communication and pictures. We truly felt that our dog was in great hands - he looked like he had great fun with them. I'm sure he will be really happy to go back there and see them again!”

“Veena took excellent care of our cockapoo Kobe. She was very responsive and sent lots of updates during her stay. Kobe came back happy, received lots of love and was well exercised. I would not hesitate to recommend Veena to others.”

About: I regularly walk all the neighbours dogs. Live close by to Ruislip woods and love to go for long walks. I love all dogs …. I am retired but play golf regularly so am not available on some days but am more than happy to accommodate reasonable requests. Love all breeds Happy home , we are used to dogs, we regularly look after the neighbours dogs for days and or weeks . Reasonable sized garden to keep them happy.

“A fantastic stay with Pandora, as always. We were kept updated throughout and collected a happy dog who couldn’t wait to go to bed when he got back after all the fun that was had!”

“This was the first time I had used a Cat sitter as opposed to a cattery and did have some reservation but in the initial stage Sherwine (Sherry) fully explained how it would work and what I needed to do which eased my initial concerns. While I was away she then kept me up to date on how he was doing and even sent a couple of videos. He had plenty of room to run around, far more than he would have had at the cattery and when I came to get him he didn't want to go. Unfortunately I am moving away from London but would most certainly have used Sherry again rather than a cattery”

“We could not be happier with how Cheryl welcomed our nervous boy Ralphie! It was his first time being left with a non-family member, but Cheryl was so accommodating to his needs(taking regular medication and being nervous on walks),even meeting him before his stay to get to know him.We got regular pictures and updates which showed how settled and happy he was, which really helped to reassure us!He went on some lovely walks and had plenty of snuggles too.We will 100% be asking Cheryl to care for Ralphie again!”

“Boden felt right at home with Izabela and her family. She was gentle and caring, introduced him to other dogs slowly, and even let him sleep in the bed. Great communication too. We would definitely use her again!”

“100% would recommend Cheuk Yi C. I booked for two weeks to look after my mums Jack Russell whilst she is in hospital. Cheuk goes out of her way to make your pet feel safe and comfortable and provides comprehensive daily reports along with video clips so you can see your pet enjoying there stay. My mum really enjoys these video's and it reassures her how well Penny is being looked after and enjoying her stay, she has even made new friends with Cheuk's pets. We have since extended the booking and will definitely use this service again.”

“Thank you Jenny for looking after our cavapoo Mila, she a lovely stay whilst we were on holiday. Jenny looked after Mila so well and she had a fantastic time, which really gave us peace of mind when away. She kept us well updated, with photos and was so flexible and accommodating to Milas routine. Would highly recommend and Mila looks forward to next time! Thank you so much!”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care our dog received while we were away on holiday in Scotland for 5 nights. Vamsi was absolutely wonderful – reliable, attentive, and clearly very loving with Charlie our cavapoo. We were kept updated with regular messages and photos, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. We had a problem going back early because of a very long journey but Vamsi and Nitya were so accommodating and very considerate to look after our dog for a few hours with no charge at all. We are so grateful for their kindness. Very kind people. We would highly recommend Vamsi and Nitya to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter, and we’ll definitely be booking again and again in the future.”

Millie was absolutely excellent! She is the best dog carer you could ever ask for. Thank you for the constant pictures and video updates, Millie. This wasn't a short time either, 2.5 weeks of loving care for our sweet Nahla (1.5-year-old lab); she is a lot to handle! Well done Millie. Everyone, rest assured, your dog is in the best hands possible.

We left our very traumatized Rescue dog with Sonia - and she was wonderful with her! Sonia treated her with such sensitivity and empathy, that our dog settled in immediately. Sonia was also so good at keeping her nervous mommy informed with updates, photos and videos! We will definitely use her again!!! 😘
Kelli was absolutely wonderful looking after our cavapoo! She is such a lovely, caring person, and it was clear from the start that our dog was in the best possible hands. She kept us updated every single day with photos and videos, which really put our minds at ease while we were away. Our cavapoo had the best time and clearly adored being there – tail wagging in every picture! We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and will definitely be booking with Kelli again. Highly recommend!

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.
When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:
- Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
- Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
- Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates
Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
