⚠️ BE VERY WARY – EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING AND HEARTBREAKING EXPERIENCE I am extremely disappointed with the care my dog received during his stay, but more importantly, I am absolutely heartbroken by the condition and behaviour he came home in. Before booking, we specifically asked whether they had experience looking after large dogs and whether they were confident caring for our dog. We were assured that they were. During our initial visit, we were also told that regular photos and videos were part of the service. Looking back, I feel this was very misleading. If they were not actually comfortable or experienced in caring for a large, sociable and energetic dog like ours, this should have been made clear to us BEFORE we left him there. We could then have made an informed decision and found somewhere more suitable. During the six days he was there, our dog was kept completely separated from the other dogs. He was not allowed to interact or play with them and could apparently only see them from behind a fence. Our dog is a very sociable and playful dog who loves being around other dogs. How do you think it made him feel to spend six days watching other dogs from behind a fence, unable to interact or play with them? He is a large, energetic dog with plenty of energy that needs to be exercised and properly stimulated. Instead, he was isolated and, from what we understand, spent significant periods confined. How was he supposed to come home as the same happy, playful dog we dropped off if his energy wasn’t being properly exerted and he wasn’t receiving the interaction and stimulation he needed? It is entirely understandable that this could have resulted in anxiety, frustration and pent-up energy. Ultimately, the boarding was terminated because they were unable to look after him. This left us stranded and having to urgently find alternative care with no cover in place. This was incredibly stressful, especially while we were away. If they were not capable of managing a large, energetic dog, that should have been established and communicated before accepting the booking, particularly after we specifically asked about their experience with large dogs. We were also extremely concerned that our dog was being kept in a crate that was completely unsuitable for his size. He could not properly turn around or stand fully upright. For a large dog, this is simply unacceptable. We were told at the initial visit that regular photos and videos were part of the service. Instead, we had to literally beg for photos and videos and repeatedly ask for updates. At one point, we actually started feeling guilty for constantly asking for updates, photos and videos — but honestly, why should we have felt guilty? We had entrusted our dog to someone else for six days. We weren’t asking for anything unreasonable. We simply wanted to know that our dog was safe, happy and being properly looked after. If regular photos and videos were part of the service, we shouldn’t have had to repeatedly chase and beg for them. I also contacted the owner, Amandeep, and asked for a statement explaining what had happened and for information from the worker who was supposedly responsible for looking after the dogs. Amandeep promised she would obtain this information from her worker and provide it to me. Four days later, I am still waiting. To date, I have received no statement or explanation from the person who was actually looking after the dogs. Instead, Amandeep has directed me to the Rover app to make a complaint. Great customer service. When a customer has serious concerns about the care their dog received, I would expect the owner to take responsibility, investigate what happened and provide the answers they promised — not simply redirect the customer elsewhere. OUR DOG IS NOT THE SAME DOG WE DROPPED OFF This is ultimately what hurts us the most. When we collected him, he had lost a significant amount of weight and was clearly not himself. Since coming home, he has been startled by the smallest noises, unhappy, not eating properly and generally behaving completely differently from the happy, confident dog we dropped off. He is simply not the same dog we left there. We left a happy, playful and sociable dog who loved interacting with other dogs. After six days of being isolated from them, not having his energy properly exerted and apparently being confined in a crate that was far too small for him, he came home visibly changed. How could anyone expect a dog to remain happy and content when his natural need for interaction, play, exercise and stimulation is not being met? As a dog owner, seeing your dog come home like this is absolutely heartbreaking. BE VERY WARY Unless you don’t really care about your dog, I would not use them at all. I certainly would not recommend them for boarding based on our experience. What concerns me most is that we specifically asked whether they could care for a large dog and were told that they could. Our experience was completely contrary to that. If they cannot properly care for large, energetic and sociable dogs, then they should be honest and transparent about that before accepting a booking, rather than giving owners the impression that they have the experience to do so. Please ask very specific questions before leaving your dog with them: where will they sleep, what size crate will be used, will they be allowed to interact with other dogs, how much exercise and stimulation will they receive, how much time will they spend isolated, and how often will you receive photos and videos? We trusted them with our dog, and we brought home a dog who was not the same happy dog we dropped off. That is heartbreaking. I would not use this service again, and I strongly recommend that other dog owners think very carefully before doing so.

I was so happy to meet Amy. She was incredibly kind, welcoming and really took the time to understand Raffie’s needs. As a dog mum to a beautiful Staffy who doesn’t always socialise well with other dogs (naughty boy! 😂), that meant a lot to me. She completely understood my concerns, reassured me, and made me feel confident that he would be well looked after. She also followed up on my request, which I really needed as I was being so hectic at the time, and that extra effort meant a lot. The grounds are beautiful, and it really has that home-away-from-home feel. When I collected him, he did have a slightly sore bottom. We talked it through, and Amy genuinely cared about it and was happy to keep an eye on it if it happened again. That gave me even more reassurance because things can happen with dogs, but what matters is knowing they’re in caring and trustworthy hands. I really do feel Raffie enjoys his time there, and I’ll definitely be using Amy again. Thank you for looking after my little one so well!
