“Natalie was amazing! She created such a calm and welcoming environment for my dog, Luna. I really appreciated the updates once Luna had settled in, it was clear she was being well cared for and completely at ease. Will definitely be back if I need Luna to be looked after again :)”

“Ela was great! She kept me informed every day and she took great care of Max. You could tell he had a great time, especially with Axel being around too. Would highly, highly recommend.”

“Mina took care of our spring/collie cross 4yr old over three days. A good summary is our dog did not want to leave! Mina was absolutely lovely with her throughout. Very professional and affectionate towards our dog. Plenty of exercise with quality walks and fantastic communication throughout the stay. Couldn’t ask for more and would definitely recommend.”

“Pandora made a great bond with Skylo - her love for and understanding of dogs is clear to see. That made us completely at peace entrusting Skylo to her care. Pandora also trained Skylo while on his walks with her. Communication was prompt and regular. We're looking forward to having Skylo board with Pandora again.”

“Bruce can be a bit needy and clingy but Izabela was giving him cuddles as I snuck out the door. I went away so I didn’t pick him up by my husband said Bruce was fine when he collected him. I will definitely use Izabela again as she really does love dogs 🐶”

“This is the second time Max has stayed with Sabina and Adriano, he came home very happy and we felt very comfortable leaving him with them. They are great at sending updates. When Max saw again he was very excited to be with them which speaks volumes for how great they are!”

“We were a little nervous leaving Hugo as he'd never stayed away from home before, but Leanne made the whole experience really easy. She was very responsive, responsible, and clearly knows how to look after dogs properly. Hugo had lots of lovely long walks and plenty of attention, and it was really reassuring to see how much affection he got from Leanne's son too. We could tell he was well cared for and happy. We'll definitely be booking with Leanne again in the future and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.”

“Andrew took fantastic care of my lab, Rufus! He came back to us with a very shiny coat and happy disposition. We got a lot of photo and video updates showing him out on walks and playing, and Andrew was always quick to respond and happy to accommodate. Highly recommend Andrew!”

“Winnie had a lovely stay with Eva. Eva took great care to find out about Winnie before her stay and sent me some lovely photos of Winnie’s day. We’ll be back for another stay soon! 🐾🐶”

“Roberta was so wonderful! We have a very shy dog, so it was great to be able to trust that she’d be in good hands. It was also lovely getting photos of her throughout the day. We will definitely be using Roberta again!!”

About: I’ve taken care of my sisters two French bulldogs, helping them transition into a new home as puppies and also looking after them for long periods of time. I try to help my friends with their dogs as much as possible, taking them for walks as much as I can. I work hybrid which suits dog sitting. I usually work from home Monday and Friday which means I’m available from Friday to Tuesday morning without fail. I also don’t start work until 9am so on the days I work from home I can easily take dogs for walks in the morning or evening depending on preference. My flat has a small balcony that’s gated off and is only accessible by two back doors. There is also room to accommodate a dog bed in both the bedroom and the living room and even room for a dog crate. I also live close to Richmond Park, so the dogs will be provided with walks either at the park or by the river.
“My furr Babies stayed for the first time and I've just picked them up and got them home and they're as happy as they always are. Chloe kept me posted with photos of walks and cuddles. Very happy with her care!!”

“Couldnt be happier with the service, Tokyo had the time of his life, Evegiina went above and beyond taking care of Tokyo, will defenitly use her services again. 5 stars. Really appreciate all the care she gave him, thank you 🙏”

“My dog loved Tanja and her beautiful family. She is kind and empathetic and treated him like a little prince. He looked so happy in all the pics and updates she sent and came out with his tail wagging. Happy dog and dog mum here.”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats around me since I was a kid, and for years that meant two big dogs and three cats of my own. When I lost them, I missed having that presence and routine in the house, so I started sitting for friends and family. Now I’ve decided to open that up to more people. My wife works from home full time, and I’m remote when needed too, so your pet is genuinely never home alone. There’s always someone around for walks, feeding, and just company. Whatever you need, a quick drop in, a walk, or a full stay at ours, we’ll treat your pet like one of the family. I work remotely as a photographer, so most days I’m editing from home, with studio time in the office around twice a week. My wife works from home full time too, and on the days I do need to be out, she’s here. Between the two of us, there’s always someone home with your pet, whether that’s for company during the day or keeping an eye on things overnight. We live in a three bedroom terrace house with a fully fenced garden and no side access, so it’s secure and self contained. We’ve got security cameras around the property, and we’re on a semi quiet road, so it’s calm without being isolated. It’s a comfortable, settled space for pets to relax in.
“Buddy recently had daycare and an overnight stay, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. I loved receiving frequent updates, and it was clear he had a great time, especially spending time with Flossy. Buddy came home happy and relaxed. I would highly recommend!”

I am very happy with her , she is really a caring dog sitter , during my trip she sent many photos of Chico while making outdoor activity as well as cute home photos . Her daughter also is very nice and caring with pets and loved Chico so much . Finally , I certainly would recommend Tanja if you looking for someone to look after your pet like her own family . I really appreciate of her kindeness and pet caring manner . Best Regards Hamid

Kat provided regular updates which put my mind at rest as we were away for a longer holiday than usual. She was very considerate with timing of his walks during a heatwave and keeping him cool during the day. As our dog is older, we felt reassured that Kat didn't have other dogs in her care, so Gunner could rest. Thank you for looking after him so well

We couldn’t have asked for a better person to look after Tolkien for the three days he stayed with her. He absolutely loved his time there - especially playing with her lovely dog and having the opportunity to socialise with other doggies in her beautiful garden and enjoy lots of walks. Ashwini was incredibly caring, patient and attentive, while also being kind but firm with house rules. I really appreciated this because Tolkien is not only having a lovely time, but is also learning some really important training and life skills along the way. It was clear that Tolkien felt completely comfortable and happy in her home, and I had complete peace of mind knowing he was being so well looked after. She was fantastic with him and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring and experienced to look after their dog. Tolkien clearly had a brilliant three days and Tolkien is looking forward to visiting again in the future 🐾❤️

Abigail provided a lovely home for Yoshi while we were away. She took great interest in every detail of his care routine, feeding, etc., and Yoshi was very happy to be there. Communication was excellent, with daily updates on his activities. We would highly recommend Abigail to other dog owners who want to be assured their dog is in a safe, friendly, and secure environment.

We used Charlotte for the first sitter experience for our boy, and it was an absolute delight! Charlotte is clearly a very dog-oriented person who’s passionate about dogs thriving in a happy and healthy environment! She was very sweet and very communicative! Our boy came home happy as Larry! We will definitely use her again 🥰 thank you Charlotte!

We had a bit of an emergency and had to travel for two days with only 24 hour advance warning. It is hard to find anyone at such a short notice, but Eric came through and hosted Misha for two days. He did a very good job and we had regular updates. Highly recommend.

So glad to have found Eleanor who took such great of our Luna. We have a nervous/ cautious dog so needed someone who will be patient with Luna. Eleanor sent regular updates & photos & we could see that Luna was relaxed & happy with Eleanor. Thank you for all your kindness & care. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Eleanor.

Cannot recommend Siobhan and Freddie (and Kinnie!) enough, for both long and short stays. They truly welcome my Harvey into their family every time he stays, and I can tell from the many pics and video updates that he feels so loved and safe with them. Every time he comes home extremely calm, and it’s wonderful to know he is being taken care of beautifully when I am on holiday. They also seem to really enjoy looking after him which is so lovely and reassuring. Your dog will be loved like one of the family! Would choose these guys every time :) thanks again!

Big thank you to Sammi and her boyfriend! She looked after Honey so well — she came home incredibly happy and relaxed. It’s clear she was given lots of love, playtime, and plenty of walks. Communication was fantastic throughout, with regular updates. Would absolutely recommend and will definitely book again!

Carly was a lovely trusting dog minder. She organised a nice calm pre meeting where we walked around the park with her and her dog so that everyone bonded and felt comfortable. We had photo updates thought the stay and felt our dog was in very safe hands. We would highly recommend using Carly's services anytime.

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
