“They looked after our French Bulldog for a week and did a fantastic job. Excellent communication before and during his stay. We got photo updates everyday which were so welcome and reassuring. Would not hesitate to use them again and totally recommend this family.”

“Emma and her family were amazing, very welcoming and very much focused on how to look after Luna the best, we had updates and photos everyday, which was great. More importantly Luna looked very happy and content. Highly recommend.”

“Gina and her family are quintessential “dog people”. They were absolutely lovely with our senior dog Dakota, and welcomed her into their family as if she was their own. Dakota settled in with them right away and was clearly enjoying her time with them. Can’t wait to book Gina and family again!”

“After a couple of daycare visits, Lola had her first long stay with Nadia whilst we went on holiday. Nadia was brilliant, keeping us up to date with plenty of photos and videos. Lola had a great time, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again! Thank you again, and we hope you’re now getting a rest from throwing the ball 😂”

“Leo loved spending time with Dalia and her lovey family. He settled in very quick and went for lots of walks and had loads of fun in there garden. Thank you for taking care of him.”

“Excellent care given by Nicola. Our dog, Monty seemed happy and relaxed when we left him and when we collected him. Felt confident leaving Monty in Nicola’s safe hands and she was great at communicating with us, including photos, videos and updates (all much appreciated!).”

“Reliable and attentive, Michael provided our Pluto witht the most fun both indoors and outdoors as well as tons of socialising with other dogs. We could tell Pluto had the best time in his care from the multiple updates Michael sent us. Highly recommended!”

“Jacky is so loving and kind, Rubio was very much loved and cared for. As a puppy mum I was worried about sending Rubio somewhere, but Jacky answered any questions and sent photos and videos all weekend. Thank you so much Jacky x”

“We cannot recommend Kim highly enough. This was Harley's first ever overnight stay away from us, so naturally we were quite nervous, especially as he is a very particular little dog with his own routines and quirks. From the moment we met them, they made us feel completely at ease. They took the time to understand Harley's routine, his fussy eating habits and his love of cuddles, and treated him as if he was one of their own. Throughout his stay they kept us updated with lovely messages and photos, which really reassured us that he was happy and settled. When we collected Harley he was calm, content and clearly very well looked after. It was obvious he had received so much love, attention and care. Knowing he was in such safe hands meant the world to us. We would not hesitate to leave Harley with Kim again and would recommend them to anyone looking for caring, attentive and genuinely lovely dog sitters. Thank you both so much for taking such wonderful care of our little boy.”

“Pip is lovely! She bonded really well with our dog, who came back from a two week stay very happy and healthy. She kept up to date with our dog’s daily medication and numerous walks out and about. Thanks Pip!”

“This was our first time using Rover, and we're so glad we chose Varinder to look after Potter. Both Varinder and Josh were fantastic with our excitable Puppy, making him feel right at home from the moment he arrived. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming and accommodating, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Varinder kept us updated throughout Potter's stay with regular messages and photos, which we really appreciated. We wouldn't hesitate to use Varinder's dog sitting and boarding services again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover based in Slough. I grew up with small to medium-sized dogs and have lots of experience providing calm, caring environments for pups. I live in a two-floor home with a secure garden, which is perfect for play and relaxing outdoors. I work from home most of the week and live with my partner (no kids, no smoking, no other pets), so your dog will get plenty of company and attention. I’m active and happy to include regular walks based on your dog’s needs. Whether it’s for the day or overnight, I’ll make sure your dog feels safe, loved, and at home. My work schedule is flexible, I work 2-3 days from home. I am very active and happy to take my break out for a walk. During the weekends I like to go to the park or enjoy the good weather (when possible 😊). I have a fenced garden for your furry pet to enjoy. I don't smoke and no other pets are in the house. I am happy to discuss your pet needs and preferences to create the perfect home away from home.
“Jess was absolutely brilliant! Moose had such a lovely time and clearly enjoyed himself a lot with her. He was well looked after and we received lots of updates. I couldn't recommend her highly enough, Moose will definitely be back!”

“Zrin and his family made Max very welcome in their home and gave him a fantastic time. Zrin kept me updated on his progress each day which was very reassuring. An excellent experience! Thanks Zrin.”

“Laura updated me on my dog frequently and sent me his picture. He was on many nice walks and played with her dogs. When I came to pick him up he looked very happy. He had great time with Laura, her kids and her dogs!”

“Marvin stayed with Kim for 7 nights and was very well cared for by Kim and John. Kim sent regular updates and photos to reassure us how Marvin was getting on. When we collected Marvin he was happy, lively and confident in Kim’s home. We have booked Marvin in again with Kim next year and would not hesitate to recommend Kim 😀🐕”

I couldn’t recommend Kimberley enough, she looked after our elderly dog Millie while we were at legoland! I felt instantly at ease when I dropped her off, knowing she would be in loving hands. I received lots of updates during the day, I could see that Millie was right at home and she was very chilled and content when I collected her. If we were more local, Millie would definitely be having more regular stays. Thankyou so much.

We couldn't have been happier with the care Lily provided for Benji. Her communication was outstanding, with fast responses to our questions and regular updates throughout the stay. Benji bonded with Lily immediately, and it was clear from the photos and updates that he was having a wonderful time. Lily's attentiveness, reliability, and genuine affection for dogs made the whole experience stress-free. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy dog sitter.

Amazing!!! Bleu had such a lovely time and we had lots of photos and videos of him having fun. He went on many adventures and was treated like one of the family. He came home tired but happy, well fed and definitely well looked after. We always feel a bit cruel leaving him in kennels but with Simon, he had a holiday of his own and we could relax and enjoy our holiday so much more. Thank you so much Simon, we will definitely choose you to look after Bleu on our future holidays, thank you for making him feel so welcome.

Martina and family were absolutely charming. I was sent daily photos and updates. My dog seemed to love them all, sleeping on their slaps - which is pretty unusual as she’s sometimes a little weary of new people. When I went to pick her up, she seemed very calm and happy. Thank you guys. Lots of love to you all.
My boy was in an absolute best hands. He was well looked after and exercised regularly and He was not left alone whilst with Cai which was very important to me as my dog has separation anxiety. Cai sent me plenty of pictures to put me to ease and is a great communicator. Thank you, would definitely use his services again.

Renata is a very kind person, with a lot of knowledge, understanding and experience of dogs. This is the first time I left Bella with her. We had a pre stay meeting during which Bella met Renata and sniffed her way around Renatas home. When Bella was left for her stay, she went with Renata without a backwards glance!! As Bella has separation anxiety, this was amazing! I was updated with photos daily, and Bella looked happy and well looked after. Thank you so much Renata. I would not hesitate to recommend you.

From the very start Bella was settled and happy to be spending her holiday with Nargis and Doodles. We received regular updates and questions about diet and any allergies when needed. It was clear that Bella was being looked after well and that Nargis loves looking after her charges. Communication was excellent and on pick up everything was neatly packed and ready for collection. I would highly recommend.

I couldn’t be happier with the care my Otto boy received from Jacky! From the moment we met, it was clear how kind, attentive, and genuinely passionate Jacky is about animals. Otto settled in quickly and was treated like part of the family, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. I really appreciated the regular updates, photos, and messages, it made such a difference knowing my baby was happy, relaxed, and well cared for. It’s obvious Jacky goes above and beyond, paying attention to every little detail, from routines to Otto’s individual needs. I would absolutely recommend Jacky to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving dog sitter. I’ll definitely be booking again!

Leaving my dog is always hard, but Brandon made it so much easier. He truly treated my dog like his own. I loved the photo updates, and it was clear they formed a great bond. It’s such a relief to find someone so kind and attentive. Lucy loved the garden and she could sunbathing. We will definitely be booking again!"

We couldn’t be happier with the care Maryna and her partner Charles gave our dog Verona! From the very first day, Maryna sent frequent updates and photos, which gave us such peace of mind while travelling. She took Verona on long walks just as we’d asked, and her communication throughout was excellent — always responsive and friendly. She also offered to drop Verona off at our home for my mum, which was incredibly thoughtful of them! Verona was in great hands, and we have absolutely no hesitation in booking with Maryna again. Thank you Maryna!

Rosie and her partner looked after our high-energy Labrador, Leo, for 9 nights and we couldn’t have been happier. We found Rosie at the last minute after a cancellation and we’re so glad we did! Leaving Leo for 9 days was a big decision, but from the very start Rosie made us feel completely at ease. We met for a walk beforehand and she was incredibly reassuring, it was clear she’s highly experienced and genuinely great with and loves dogs. Leo obviously had an amazing time, lots of exercise, cuddles, and plenty of care. Rosie kept us updated with photos and messages throughout, which we really appreciated as we missed Leo a lot! We wouldn’t hesitate to use Rosie again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and experienced dog sitter.

I recently left my dog ft or an overnight stay with Saadet. She invited me to meet and greet her in her home prior to the stay which was very helpful for both my msltipoo and I. Saadet is an experienced dog owner and trainer and has a lot of insight and understanding about doggy needs and behaviour. She is caring and keen to ensure comfort and consistency in routine. Saadet also sent pictures snd updates of our dog while we were away which was lovely and reassured us our dog had settled despite being quite anxious in the beginning. My experience of Saadet’s service couldn’t be more positive and we wiill not hesitate to contact her again in the future.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
