“First time using Rover for our Irish Terrier and Diane put my nerves to rest. Very responsible, warm and clearly a dog lover! When I collected my dog he looked relaxed and happy, he even went back to say goodbye! Would recommend Diane for all breeds, especially those with more personality like Irish Terriers.”

“Our girl cockerpoo had a wonderful time with her first sitter Gina. She did everything to make use feel at ease as this was new to us. Sent us photos and kept us informed - we were a little nervous because of the heat but Gina is an experienced dog owner and knows far more than us so we knew our girl was on very good hands. We will definitely be using Gina and look forward to building a long last relationship.”

“This was the first time I have used Rover and I’m so glad I found such a lovely, friendly, and caring couple to look after my dog. They were really kind and made my dog feel completely at home. My dog absolutely loved being there, which gave me so much peace of mind. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring doggy day care experience.”

“This is Rio's second stay with Nadezda and her family, and I couldn't have found a more loving and caring host for him. He is truly pampered and cherished just as he is at home. Nadezda will always be my first choice when I travel for my frequent business trips. On this occasion, my flight was delayed by several hours, and she was incredibly accommodating, happily adjusting her schedule to care for Rio a little longer.. Thank you Nadezda and family”

“Amy, Tim and their girls, also cavapoo Gem kindly kept our cockapoo boy Dougal entertained and very happy for a few days. He had a great time and we will be asking if they can have him again soon.”

“David was great with Ziggy, I got lots of updates through out the day and Ziggy looked really happy. Definitely recommend, David also helped with some training advice which was really useful.”

“Jacqe has been great with our puppy Ryder while we went abroard leaving him for the first time. Lots of pictures and reassurance. We will definitely be using him again when we go away in the future. Happy puppy and happy family!”

“Pebbles only stayed with Laura and her family for a night and a day, but she was absolutely full of beans (no, not real beans) when collected her and quite clearly would have stayed longer if could. We are very happy clients and delighted to have such a professional service almost on our doorstep. [”

“Offered to help board at the last minute to give my wife and I the opportunity to spend the weekend away. Dogs were looked after really well in a clean and large home. Taken for walks, lots of adventures and lots of playtime”

About: Hey, I'm Emily, and I've been around animals for most of my life. I completed a two-year Animal Management course at college and gained lots of hands-on experience through placements at veterinary practices, the RSPCA, at a riding school, an agricultural school in Norway, and conservation projects in rainforest environments across the globe. Alongside this, I also regularly care for pets belonging to my friends and family. I have experience with dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior dogs with additional care needs. I have plenty of experience with dogs requiring extra care, as I regularly care for my parents Cockapoo with a range of health conditions, and my partner's Dachshund who lived to 15 years old and required support with IVDD. These experiences have given me great experience and ability to adapt care to each dog's individual needs. I share my home with my friendly two year old Cocker Spaniel, who loves meeting and playing with other dogs! My partner Alex and I both work from home, meaning your dog will never be left alone and will receive plenty of attention, companionship, and supervision throughout the day. Dogs staying with us can enjoy daily walks tailored to their needs, regular playtime in our secure garden and home, and lots of affection. I'm also happy to provide regular photo updates, as I love capturing special moments and helping owners feel connected while they're away. I joined Rover as we have the time, space, and flexibility to provide a genuine home-from-home experience. We love welcoming canine guests, and our dog Willow is always excited to make new friends! ☺️ My partner and I both work from home, which means your dog will have company and supervision throughout the day and will never be left alone. Our flexible schedules allow us to provide regular toilet breaks, playtime, enrichment activities, and plenty of attention. We are available for dog boarding throughout the week and on most weekends. Daily walks are tailored to each dog's needs, with opportunities for exercise, play, and relaxation. We also have a secure garden where dogs can safely spend time outdoors. We understand that every dog has their own routine, so we're happy to accommodate feeding schedules, sleeping arrangements, and other preferences wherever possible. Regular photo and video updates are available to give you peace of mind while you're away. Your dog's safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I live in a house with a secure, enclosed garden, and because my partner and I both work from home, dogs are never left alone and receive plenty of attention throughout the day. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, including puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with additional care needs. I share my home with my friendly young Cocker Spaniel, and all dogs are introduced carefully to ensure everyone feels comfortable and relaxed. I'm happy to provide regular photo updates during your dog's stay, so you can have peace of mind knowing they're safe, settled, and having fun.
“Vicky offers a fabulous dog boarding service where you feel reassured that your pet is being very well looked after. I had regular updates and returned to a very happy pup who has since informed me that I need to up my game after his stay with Vicky! I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting dog boarding.”

“Marvin stayed with Kim for 7 nights and was very well cared for by Kim and John. Kim sent regular updates and photos to reassure us how Marvin was getting on. When we collected Marvin he was happy, lively and confident in Kim’s home. We have booked Marvin in again with Kim next year and would not hesitate to recommend Kim 😀🐕”

“Sarah looked after my dog Harry for a few days recently while I was away. Fair to say he had a great time and was very well cared for. I'd highly recommend Sarah to others looking for someone to look after their beloved pet.”

“We cannot praise Natasha and her family enough. Natasha has been amazing in making sure Suki was comfortable with her and met her a couple of times before we left Suki with her. We felt very confident when we dropped Suki off especially it being the first time we would be away from her. During the stay Natasha took photos and gave daily updates. It was obvious what a blast Suki was having. We are very lucky to have found Natasha; she will definitely be the first person we would consider for the next time we need to board Suki.”

“Richard is amazing, he is a real dog whisperer. Kira had an amazing time at his and became friends with Moilee, Richard’s dog. Richard sent us pictures and videos every day, so we could witness the fun Kira had. Will definitely book him again and always, if we will go away and won’t be able to take Kira with us.”

“Milena was absolutely fantastic in helping me out for short notice boarding before flying Lady out to Portugal. She went above and beyond to get Lady ready at 3am for collection by an animal courier. Photo updates and reassurance from start to finish. Thank you Milena.”

“Yet another wonderful stay with Dorinda! I'm thrilled that we crossed paths. Toffee absolutely loves spending time at Dorinda's place and they always have a blast together! I can't speak highly enough of Dorinda and wholeheartedly recommend her!”

Such a lovely dog sitter. I had best experience with her. Even I could tell my dog was happy with her. She updates me every single day for his walk ,food etc. Always send me pictures. Defo. Recommend. Previously I used other different dog sitters from rover. But I found Louisa one of the best so far & main thing is my dog was happy with her. Usually I pick him from dog sitter he behave bit upset with me. But this time he was alright. Which is good sign. Thank you so much for great service. Defo. I’ll book again with Louisa.

Once again, I booked Tyler to take care of Riley while I had a short break away. Dropped off Riley on the evening of 12th and picked him up on the evening of 17th May. Received a lovely update with photos to show me how chilled and content Riley was. Since Riley had been with Tyler on two previous occasions I was very confident that he would settle and enjoy the additional company of Tyler and his family. I feel very lucky to have found someone so caring and close to home. Looking forward to Riley spending more time with Tyler in the future. Should anyone reading this be thinking about boarding their dog with Tyler, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

Anastasia and her partner were fantastic with Pippin! He can take some time to warm up but quickly felt comfortable and happy with them. She gave lots of updates and we felt great knowing he was in good hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to have pippin stay with them again!

couldn’t have asked for a better person to look after my dog. She took care of him for 5 days and did an absolutely brilliant job from start to finish. It gave me real peace of mind knowing he was in such safe and caring hands. She kept me updated the entire time I was away, regularly sending messages and photos, which meant so much while I was on holiday. It was clear from the updates that my dog was happy, comfortable, and being genuinely cared for. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and attentive dog sitter. I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again! Bear was very loved the whole time. Thank you so much. See you soon.

Amazing! Elysia has looked after our dog in the most caring and loving way. Not for a moment that I was worried even though my dog wasn't never left with anyone apart from friends and family. Elysia made him feel like he was home and always kept us updated about his adventures. I would 100% recommend and book again Elysia.

Honestly, I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to look after my dog. She was amazing from the start – so friendly, easy to talk to, and really reassuring. She kept sending me loads of photos and videos, which meant so much and made me feel completely at ease. I could tell my dog was happy and well cared for the whole time. I would 100% recommend her to anyone. 💛

We had a great experience with Shyla. She is so energetic and spreads her positivity around. She was so caring, attentive, and very loving. Our dog was well looked after (she even cooked the food and fed him), and we really appreciated the communication and updates. It meant so much knowing our dog was in such safe and loving hands. We would absolutely use them again and recommend them without hesitation.

Rachel was fantastic with communication. We had to find someone last minute for a family members dog and she was great communicating with myself and the family member and made it a great experience. Would definately use her again. She also sent updates to the dogs owner whilst he was away which he really enjoyed so thanks again

Daniel was amazingly calm, thorough, professional and attentive throughout the service. He negated any concerns we had about leaving our girls, shared pics and notes which enabled us to relax and enjoy our holiday! Highly recommend for a hassle-free, trusted process and safe, loving environment for fur-babies! Thanks Daniel ❤️ See you again soon...

Caroline was very helpful, sharing regular updates with us and very responsive at all times. One of our dogs was having her season during her stay, but Caroline was very accommodating and understanding. We would definitely book for her to sit our dogs again. A big THANK You 🙏

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
