Safety, trust & environment

My household is just myself, a lodger who works away from home and Huxley. It will be just myself who will be providing pet care and company. There are no other pets such as cats and small furries in the house. I have a small, secure, fenced paved garden suitable for dogs to play and exercise. Dogs have the run of the house and welcome on furniture. I do not crate, but happy to crate if you request.

Information Rebecca D. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your dog has any special needs or requirements. I’m happy to have a meet and greet prior to booking if you wish to introduce the dogs and make sure we are the right fit for your dog.

A typical day

During the week we will have a work from home routine - morning walks, breakfast, work (me clearing my inbox of emails and the dogs ridding the garden of the neighbourhood cats!), lunch time leg stretch + snacks and then a chilled evening of dinner and pre bedtime walkies. Weekends will be filled with dog friendly adventures and fun!

Pet care experience

If you’re looking for someone to look after your dog while you’re away I can provide a cosy place where your pampered pooch will feel right at home. I am an experienced dog owner and have a friendly and affectionate 4 year old Cavalier King Charles spaniel called Huxley who loves having his doggy pals around. I work from home 5 days a week so your dog will never be left home alone. Our weekends are spent going on dog friendly adventures such as walks in Virginia Waters, along the riverside or the nearby Surrey hills. You’ll get regular photo and video updates of your pup’s adventures during their stay. I regularly dog sit for friends and family and am also experienced in administering medication such as eye/ear drops and oral medication. I have a house with a fenced outdoor space for dogs to zoom around and live just over the road from a great dog walking common. I’m also a few minutes drive from Heathrow so a perfect location for a drop off if you’re en route to the airport! In the house, if there’s no space on a lap, dogs are welcome on the furniture and can even snooze on the bed. I want to make sure your dog has the best stay so let me know if your dog has any special quirks, like/dislikes or specific requirements, such as special diets or even a squirrel chasing habit you’re trying to break! Rules such as no off lead walking will always be strictly adhered to so your pup will always be in safe hands. I will only take one boarding booking at a time so your dog will get 100% of my attention and will be one of the family for the duration of their stay. Huxley’s pal preferences are for small to medium sized dogs but no young puppies I’m afraid as he can’t handle that puppy energy around the house 24-7! Neutered males, no females on heat, house trained and well socialised, dogs only please.

Elsie had an absolutely brilliant time with Rebecca. This was our first time of leaving her for such a long period (19 nights!), whilst we went abroad, but it looks like she had as good a holiday as we did! Rebecca and her gorgeous dog, Huxley, were the perfect hosts - and Elsie got to go with them into London (on the tube), Walkies @ Wisley, lavender fields, the forest and even the beach! Rebecca sent regular photos and updates, so we could be confident that she was happy and being well looked after. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Rebecca again and would thoroughly recommend her. Thank you!

We left our doodle, Elsie, with Rebecca overnight as a trial as we have booked her in for a longer stretch over the summer holidays. It was Elsie’s first night away from us and we also weren’t sure how she’d cope with sharing space ( and humans!) with another dog. We needn’t have worried Everything went swimmingly and we picked up a very calm and content doggie the next day. Rebecca sent photos throughout so we could see what a great time she was having. Rebecca and her adorable dog, Huxley, are the perfect hosts and I know Elsie will enjoy her summer holiday with them.

Rebecca is very professional in her dealings and clearly really loves dogs. She inspired great confidence in me and my beagle really seemed to have a good time with her. She has a KC Cavalier of her own - a very sweet natured dog who seemed happy to share his home and his owner. He didn’t even mind my dog stealing his bed!
