“Sara is a five star sitter. She provided lots of updates and photos. Coco was very happy and relaxed. It was a scorcher of a weekend and Sara was very thoughtful only walking Coco early in the morning and later in the evening. I would highly recommend.”

“Daniela took great care of our dog Maeby for a weekend. When we picked her up, Maeby was relaxed and had clearly had plenty of attention and engagement throughout the weekend. She was very tired and snoozy when we got home! Daniela was great at putting our minds at ease - nothing was too much to ask of her. She was also clearly good at handling multiple dogs together, making sure they got along well and felt comfortable together.”

“Diesel had a great stay with Charlie, everything was plain sailing, regular updates and photos which is always reassuring. Both are now best friends, would definitely recommend Charlie for a stress free peace of mind stay for your pet :)”

About: Having been pet owners all our lives we have genuine care for pets happiness and wellbeing with a range of breeds. I’m a dog agility enthusiast with significant agility training under my belt including regular shows and competitions. We currently have a friendly 5 year old female labrador who would be around when pet sitting or walking! My partner Dan and I both manage this account so we can ensure around the clock care and responses. We’re therefore regularly walking our dog Nala and have the ability to look after your pet with as much care as we do our own. We have a fenced garden and access to lots of local parks. We have a 5 year old female labrador so the dog would have to be friendly with other dogs.
About: Hey, I'm Emily, and I've been around animals for most of my life. I completed a two-year Animal Management course at college and gained lots of hands-on experience through placements at veterinary practices, the RSPCA, at a riding school, an agricultural school in Norway, and conservation projects in rainforest environments across the globe. Alongside this, I also regularly care for pets belonging to my friends and family. I have experience with dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior dogs with additional care needs. I have plenty of experience with dogs requiring extra care, as I regularly care for my parents Cockapoo with a range of health conditions, and my partner's Dachshund who lived to 15 years old and required support with IVDD. These experiences have given me great experience and ability to adapt care to each dog's individual needs. I share my home with my friendly two year old Cocker Spaniel, who loves meeting and playing with other dogs! My partner Alex and I both work from home, meaning your dog will never be left alone and will receive plenty of attention, companionship, and supervision throughout the day. Dogs staying with us can enjoy daily walks tailored to their needs, regular playtime in our secure garden and home, and lots of affection. I'm also happy to provide regular photo updates, as I love capturing special moments and helping owners feel connected while they're away. I joined Rover as we have the time, space, and flexibility to provide a genuine home-from-home experience. We love welcoming canine guests, and our dog Willow is always excited to make new friends! ☺️ My partner and I both work from home, which means your dog will have company and supervision throughout the day and will never be left alone. Our flexible schedules allow us to provide regular toilet breaks, playtime, enrichment activities, and plenty of attention. We are available for dog boarding throughout the week and on most weekends. Daily walks are tailored to each dog's needs, with opportunities for exercise, play, and relaxation. We also have a secure garden where dogs can safely spend time outdoors. We understand that every dog has their own routine, so we're happy to accommodate feeding schedules, sleeping arrangements, and other preferences wherever possible. Regular photo and video updates are available to give you peace of mind while you're away. Your dog's safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I live in a house with a secure, enclosed garden, and because my partner and I both work from home, dogs are never left alone and receive plenty of attention throughout the day. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, including puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with additional care needs. I share my home with my friendly young Cocker Spaniel, and all dogs are introduced carefully to ensure everyone feels comfortable and relaxed. I'm happy to provide regular photo updates during your dog's stay, so you can have peace of mind knowing they're safe, settled, and having fun.
“Karen did an excellent job with looking after Coco. Great communication throughout out with photos every day of Coco’s little holiday with her. The fact that when I picked her up, Coco kept going back for more cuddles with Karen said it all. She had clearly had a great time and I wouldn’t hesitate to have Coco stay with her again.”

“Maryna looked after my cat Gary for a week and gave him such great care, sent me some beautiful videos and pictures, I would happily use her services again, he was loved fed and cared for, excellent sitter!”

“Margie was absolutely fantastic, it is clear she loves animals very much and made Youp feel comfortable and right at home in her lovely spacious home. She kept us updated throughout Youp's stay and he looked very content in the pictures she sent. We will definitely be asking Margie to look after Youp again in the future.”

“What a wonderful family! I don't even know where to start. We were worried about leaving our reactive dog for a week, but Shuj couldn't have been more welcoming. She was very attentive to Callie's needs, food, walking habits and behaviours. I could tell straight away she was in good hands. The updates we received throughout the week gave us real peace of mind so we could enjoy our holiday. Callie was so well cared for she cried when we left! Shuj and her family are absolutely wonderful. Her children bought toys for Callie and showed her so much love. We can't thank you all enough ❤️”

“I’m extremely grateful for leaving Simba with them. Every day they sent me photos and videos of him, along with updates about how he was doing and his behavior, which really reassured me that everything was okay. They spent lots of time playing with him, enjoying relaxed moments on the sofa, and even giving him treats just like I do at home, making Simba feel completely comfortable and loved. I wouldn’t hesitate to contact them again if I ever need someone to take care of Simba in the future.”

“Our dog Benny stayed with Candice for a couple of days whilst we got married and he had the best time! Benny can be quite anxious when around new people and new environments which we were really worried about but Candice was so good with him and made us feel relaxed straight away! Thank you so much Candice!”

“Stella was brilliant with my young girl - Eden. She went above and beyond to ensure my pup was loved and cared for in my absence - treating Eden as if she was her own. Stella is a reliable, trustworthy and kind individual who will go the extra mile to give you the peace of mind needed when away from your fur baby. I cannot recommend Stella enough!”

“Ciaran and his wife looked after our golden retriever for the day! Couldn’t be happier! We received lots of photos and a videos! 5* and will defiantly be using them again.”

“This is an absolute home-from-home for Bingo, we get total peace of mind that he's in wonderful hands & he has a relaxed, fun, stimulating day/overnight stay, with lots of doggie company. Bingo's confidence has grown & spending time with David, his own dog & his other lovely canine guests has definitely been a significant factor. Many thanks”

I felt very happy leaving my dog with Freddie and her partner. Their years of experience caring for dogs was immediately evident and their home is a lovely pet friendly space. Freddie was also quick to respond and abke to help at short notice. I would not hesitate in reccomending them to others and Marley looks forward to his next stay!

Helen was absolutely fantastic looking after our Golden Retriever, Albie. She was super communicative throughout his stay and sent loads of photos and updates, which really reassured us while we were away. It was clear from the pictures and updates that Albie was having a wonderful time and was being very well cared for. Knowing he was so happy allowed us to relax and enjoy our trip without worrying. We feel very fortunate to have found Helen and will definitely be hoping to use her again in the future. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy dog sitter.

Pablo stayed with Estheffany for over a week this time and we could not be happier with how well she looked after him! We loved getting all the updates and photos throughout the day! We feel like Estheffany genuinely cares about Pablo and would do everything right by him just the same way we would. It was also Pablo’s birthday while we were away and we couldn’t think of anyone better for him to be with on his birthday - she made it a special day for him :) thank you!!

Irina was just brilliant looking after our Jack Russell for 4 days. We had a pre-meet up which was great to put my mind at rest as the first time leaving our dog with anyone, but also for her to connect with Remy in advance. We had lots of updates and pictures every day which was wonderful to see and how well she was taking care of Remy. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, knowledgeable and accommodating person to look after their dog.

Luke and Binal totally spoiled our dog Howard. They have looked after him before but this time stayed for the weekend and he clearly had the best time. We had photos of him cuddled up on the sofa and enjoying a pup cup. They clearly adore dogs and really look after them like their own.

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
