“Shuj was absolutely wonderful with our pet Bambi. She was very welcoming at the meet up just before leaving her and her daughter was very excited which made us feel at ease. Bambi was happy and although she is a Barky Dog she told us Bambi was fine and hardly barked. Thanks so much!”

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats most my life and my family just loves having pets around. It will be myself taking care of your pet and I can’t wait to meet them :) I work from home and so am home all day and would usually go for the walks in the morning and sometimes the afternoon too, if your pet requires 2 walks, please let me know, I have a fenced off back yard and a lot of space in the house. I can crate your dog if needed (please provide the crate), or he/she can have full roam of the house. My dog gets on very well with other dogs, he is a neutered golden retriever.
About: Hi, I’m Vera! I really love spending time with dogs, but sadly I can’t have my own — not yet, anyway. I’ve had animals around me my whole life — a dachshund, a collie, and lots of cats and other dogs that my dad and mum brought home from work. 🙏🏻 Since my Labrador stayed behind in Ukraine, I miss the companionship and care of looking after animals. As I mainly work part-time, I have a son who absolutely loves dogs and helps me out, and I sometimes work from home too, I’m able to look after dogs during the day, as well as in the evenings and at weekends. Your dog will be safe and surrounded by company, care, and supervision throughout the day, making it ideal for pets who enjoy having someone around and feeling a presence nearby. Feel free to get in touch to discuss your needs, and I’ll do my best to accommodate them. I live in a safe flat in the city centre without a private garden, but there are communal fenced gardens nearby, as well as green open spaces. I won’t let the dog off the lead unless you tell me it’s safe to do so and give your consent. I can play and have fun with them so they feel happy and comfortable being with me. My son plays football and often trains/plays in different locations. I like to bring dogs along to his games so they can be nearby. If you’re happy for them to go out and about further from my home, just let me know. I live close to a few lovely parks that are great for dog walks. I’m also happy to look after big dogs, as long as they’re well trained. 🐾 Puppy Care Rate Please note: care for puppies under 1 year old is charged at £35/hour. Puppies need extra attention, supervision, and patience (housetraining, chewing, higher energy levels), which is why this rate differs from my standard pricing. This ensures your puppy gets the focused care and safety they need. Feel free to message me with any questions! 🐶

About: My name is Liv and I live in Guildford. I work remotely for a charity based in Central London. I don't have a dog myself but have looked after my family & friends fur babies alot, including small dogs (dachshund), medium (2 cockapoos, labrador puppy) larger dogs (golden retrievers)- I've also been a cat sitter (uk and international 👀). Some of these have been for days or weeks. So am exposed to all different shapes, ages and sizes! Whilst I don't have a dog right now, I hope to in the future :) Most of the dogs I've looked after have been friendly. Honestly, I have limited experience with very difficult dogs (i.e. aggressive) which is why I would only like tk start with one dog at a time. That said, I would be happy to look after more than one dog if they are from the same home and used to each other. I love taking photos of animals and giving them a lot of fuss 🥰 I work remotely from home, with occasional visits to the office in London. Whilst I will be working from home, I will have opportunities to play with, walk, and let them into the garden! I spend a lot of time on my own during the week whilst my boyfriend is at work, I love being outside and would take any opportunity to head out for a walk or get fresh air. I have a secure, fenced garden, which has a combination of grass and patio. There are a couple of steps in / out to the garden. The house has wood flooring downstairs and carpet upstairs. I would be happy to discuss any specific needs too.
“Emily-Rose took great care of Bruce, was very welcoming and gave loads of updates through the day! He had a great day playing with her dog Luna - nice tired boy coming home!”

About: I've been surrounded by dogs since I was six. In my 7 decades of caring for dogs, I've raised puppies, cared for senior dogs, and have looked after everything from small breeds to large ones including my own dogs, family dogs and friends' dogs! I know how to read a dog's needs and make it feel at home. I'm fully retired so I have complete flexibility to give your dog the attention they need. Available any day and I'm home most of the time so walks and playtime happens on a relaxed schedule. I offer a calm, secure space with a private courtyard for outdoor time and easy access to many local parks for walks. I supervise dogs closely, especially the ones who need extra care with heat and exertion.

About: Having had pets all my life I understand how worrying it can be to leave your pet at home when you can't take them with you. That's why I'm keen to give you a worry-free experience and the best walks, adventures and cuddles available. I'm available throughout the week and flexible with drop off/pick up times, so ideal for busy people! I'm currently available all week, so can visit/walk in line with your requirements. At the moment I'm available weekdays, evenings and weekends. I'm also flexible on pick up and drop off times. Happy to care for your pets in line with your requirements, so you can let me know everything that your pet needs. This includes feeding, playtime and anything else that makes them feel happy and comfortable. I have a lovely rescue dog of my own who is very sweet and affectionate. She can take a little time to get used to other dogs, so we always take introductions slowly and carefully. Your dog's safety and happiness, as well as hers, will always come first.
“Angus had a lovely day with Cristina. He had a walk and we were sent photos. This was a last minute booking and we had great communication with Cristina preparing for his stay. Thank you!”

“Winnie always has the best time with Binal, Luke and most of all their dog Milo. Lots of updates and pictures throughout the day, felt at ease leaving her there with them. Will defo book again”

“My furbaby always has a great time with Sara, its like a home away from home! Whether it is a stay during the day or when I went on vacation for a week, I trust Sara completely to take good care of my baby. I love that we get picture updates throughout the day without fail!”

“Annie was great. It was the first sit with our young puppy. Annie kindly took the time to meet in advance to make sure our puppy would get on with her dog, and to get to know us all and vice versa. The sit went really well, we got some lovely photos and we had a very happy and tired pup at the end of the day! She had clearly been well looked after and had had a lot of fun.”

“Another day, another amazing stay for Diesel with Charlie. This time I required Charlie to have Diesel only for the evening. Regular updates, photos and videos and even a trip to the pub after I suggested the idea 🍻 Highly recommend Charlie for peace of mind and someone you can trust to look after your pet like it his own.”

About: I’ve taken care of my dog and friends dogs’ for the last 7 years. They’ll be looked after like they are my own with lots of walks and cuddles. We have a very large garden that they can play in between walks and quiet places in our house. Unfortunately, due to allergies I can only look after hypoallergenic dogs in the house. I have plenty of time to play and walk your dog, as I rarely work and my husband is retired so always around. We have a lot of varied walks that we do in the Surrey hills and surrounding areas. I have a safe and fenced garden and 1 dog of my own, so your dog will have a playmate. Indoors we have enough rooms to ensure that your dog can have quiet times if that is what they require.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs for the past 15 years and absolutely love being around dogs! I have experience with older dogs, particularly with arthritis and am more than comfortable with their needs. I work from home full time which gives me plenty of opportunity to be around your pet. I’m also an outdoorsy person so very happy to be taking your pet for walks as often as they require them. I have a fenced garden and patio doors leading straight outside for your pet to play outside as much as they like. I live in a large house with room for your pet to have their own space and feel at home.
“Lilly was wonderful with Max and he has clearly had a super fun day (he was snoring in the car on the way home 😂) Excellent communication throughout the day - thank you for taking such great care of our puppy”

“Fia had a lovely time with Alessandra and I was able to get some work done without worrying. Very flexible with pick-up times, great communication, lovely lady - will definitely use again next time we have to go down south.”

About: Dogs and Cats have always been a big part of my life, and I naturally connect with them. I’ve cared for dogs in a home environment, making sure they get the right balance of exercise, attention, and rest. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, or simply keeping them company, I make sure each dog feels comfortable and loved. I’m also mindful of safety, routines, and any specific needs they may have. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m currently on career break and will be for a while so I have a lot of time available for walks, overnight sitting, casual play days. Ive a private garden with fence for your dog, no children and no pets. I only have 1 dog at a time unless they’re small dogs are friendly with same size dogs.

About: Hi there! I’m Anaïs 👋 I’m 22 and absolutely love spending time with animals! I’ve cared for dogs of all ages — from bouncy puppies to gentle seniors — for family, friends, and clients alike. Over the years, I’ve looked after breeds like golden retrievers, Labradors, cocker spaniels, and border collies. I’ve also done several longer pet and house sits (up to a week at a time), making sure every dog feels comfortable, loved, and well cared for. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or cuddles on the sofa, your pet will be treated like family! 🐾💛 Im a marketing apprentice student with flexible working at the minute from home and i’m available on weekdays and weekends for walks, drop-ins, boarding or house sitting. Binal and Luke took such good care of our collie after needing some last minute day care. They took her for a lovely walk and were very affectionate towards her. Their own dog Milo is very friendly and was a great companion to Pebble. I’ll definitely book Binal and Luke again. Thanks!!

Olivia was absolutely fantastic — Reggie had the best time at her house! The setting is lovely, with a secure garden, and she kept me updated throughout the day with how Reggie was getting on. She was also incredibly flexible with timings, which made everything so easy. If you’re looking for a dog sitter, I truly couldn’t recommend her more highly!

Mikaela looked after our puppy on two occasions for the day. She took care of him and our house whilst we were away from home for the day. She came to meet us beforehand and on both days Jasper was happy and content when we got home. We would happily use Mikaela again.

Rhea and Andy have been great - accommodating us at short notice and making the time for a pre-meet as it was Chewie’s first time with them. They kept me posted throughout the care session - which was very reassuring. And Chewi appeared relaxed and happy on collection. I woild be glad to rebook them. Thank you again Rhea and Andy.

Our pup Echo had a great time with Emily-Rose! She was well looked after and we got loads of photos to see what a great time Echo had with Nala. They are super prompt in communicating and have been very flexible with pick up and drop off timings. Would highly recommend!

booked a short walk as a way to meet the sitter before leaving my dog for a full day, and I honestly couldn’t have had a better first experience. Estheffany was absolutely lovely, so warm, kind, and clearly very experienced with animals. My dog connected with her straight away, which instantly put me at ease. You can tell she genuinely cares, and that level of trust is priceless especially when is the first time using the app and the first time leaving my dog with someone else. I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again and feel completely confident leaving my dog in her care for longer periods.

Cathy has had two lovely stays with Will and Frederica this week. She must have enjoyed the first stay, as she dragged us up the steps to the front door the second time! Will and Frederica paid attention to all the instructions that we provided and catered brilliantly to Cathy's needs. We would happily book again - thank you!

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
