About: I’ve taken care of dog for the past 4 years. We have a garden that is closed off suitable for a dog. We are close by parks too. Please note that I am able to board small dogs up to 7 kg. As I offer house sitting, and drop-in visits, I am flexible to up to 18 kg dogs. I work from home Mondays to Fridays so will be able to care for a dog easily. I usually walk my dog at least twice a day in safe neighbourhood with close by parks. I have a fenced garden. The doors are always closed. The living room and dining room are separated by doors too. We have dog bowls too.

“Milana is a perfect sitter! Milana, her partner and Barley welcomed Bruce in and he looked to have a great day! They agreed to help out very last minute and saved the day for me - will absolutely look to book again in future 😊”

“I’ve had Eddie stay with Sally on numerous occasions. She is my go to lady for day care and boarding and Eddie pulls on the lead to get in to her house when I drop him off. Highly recommend”

About: I have always grown up with dogs. I currently work for a dog walking company and I have a dog walking diploma, completed a pet sitting course as well as a pet 1st aid course. I also have business insurance too. I am a single mother of 4. I currently work for a dog walking company, so any dog that I look after will be walked and cared for like my own, I can walk in a group or can walk as solo. I will always be available to give 100 percent care to any dog that comes to stay with me! No dog will ever be left alone for any length of time! Even during school runs someone is always home.

About: I was brought up in a home with many pets including 2 dogs, cats and rabbits and mice, as such have always had a natural affinity and affection for all creatures great and small. I have a pet cat called Malibu who I have had for 4 years. I also have a pet snake and a pet lizard that I have had for 5 years. All are very well loved and cared for. I have been dog walking and dog sitting for friends from time to time over the past few years too. I currently work from home which allows me plenty of time to walk dogs before starting work, after work or during my lunch time in the local area. I am also available at weekends. Since I work from home I am also available for dog boarding. I live right next to a park which is handy for dog walking. I have a fenced in garden at home. My home would be suitable for small to medium sized dogs or I would be available for home visits within the pet’s own home. I would also be available for dog sitting or dog walking.
“Abi and Nathan were really great with our young dog. Abi was very communicative throughout the day to keep me updated on how he was, or got in contact if they had any questions. They were also really patient and understanding of some teenage puppy challenges he threw in for them (!). He went on a lovely walk and Abi even did some recall training with him too which was great!!”

“Can’t praise Demelza enough. She and Huw made both me and Luna feel super comfortable in the meet and greet, I knew from the off Luna would be happy there. On Lunas first stay with Demelza, we run into some unexpected traffic meaning we were going to be home super late. she was so understanding and had Luna over night for us which wasn’t planned. Honestly can’t thank her enough and will definitely be using her services again ☺️”

“My cockapoo pup Milo had a really great time with Manish and family, and plenty of walks and playtime. I picked up a very happy dog ! We would not hesitate to use Manish again. Many thanks, Manish!”

About: Hello! My name is Louise and I am animal obsessed and have been for my entire life. I have pet sat since early teens and have 3 separate animal based qualifications. I am currently running a small educational animal sanctuary and a dog grooming parlour. I also compete at flyball with our own dogs. I have years of experience working with animals doing things such as pet sitting, walking and training among many other things. We have 3 children who also adore animals and are turing into great little helpers and trainers in their own right. Animals in our care are looked after as our own and really become part of the family. We love taking any dogs in our care with us on day trips and some even enjoy coming camping with us in the caravan when we go to dog events. A little holiday of their own! Most of the income we make from pet sitting goes straight back into our animal sanctuary to help us care for our rescues, so its all for a good cause! Your dog will become part of the family, joining us for animal sanctuary duties, dog walks, going to the grooming room and more. They can join us at flyball in the caravan where they will be utterly spoilt. We are happy to care for a wide range of animals and have knowledge from dogs to guineapigs, to parrots and snakes we do it all. We work with the animals and their personalities having cared for very nervous and reactive dogs to the cuddliest rabbits you have ever met. We work with them all and my knowledge and qualifications in animal behaviour are invaluable!

“Very happy with George's doggy day care yesterday. Martin responded promptly to messages before George's stay, was ready to meet George and gave me an update once he had settled in.”

“My partner was upset when he dropped our dog Ruby round on the first day, she just ran through the house straight to the garden and didn't look back! Ruby isn't a walker even though she is only 4yrs, so she was in her element, Gillian having such a lovely big garden for Ruby to explore and sniff and for them to play ball with her. I gather Ruby gave Gillian and her husband a good workout chasing Ruby to get the ball off her, as she is not one for bringing it back she likes you to chase her for it! Would definitely recommend Gillian and will be using her services again, Ruby was very happy and was looked after as if it was their own pet, happy doggie, happy pawrents.”

I now work from home so have lots of time to look after pets I have just joined rover to get more reach to people who need pet care but have years and years of pet caring experience so if you need references I am happy to provide them! I also have extensive care with small animals so if you have a tiny furry friend that needs care alongside your other pets just let me know! I’m currently working part time at Pets at Home however only work short shifts so am very flexible, just drop me a message and we can work timings out! About: We are a friendly family with two children, aged 8 and 9. We love animals and being outdoors, and we are excited to take care of your pets together! We have a good garden and large field nearby, as well as nearby woodland for walks. We have two outdoor rabbits at the moment (self-contained, in a large shed and run) and have had experience looking after friend's dogs and cats for holidays. We are looking forward to providing a safe and loving family home for other animals. My husband Darby and I work mostly from home and we are available all day all week. Our weekends are flexible and usually spent at home. We have a clean and welcoming home, with space for pets to play and rest. We can follow routines as needed, including feeding times, walks, play, and rest, to help them feel at home. We'll prioritise safety, keeping an eye on them, making sure the environment is secure, and monitoring any changes in behaviour or health. Our garden is fenced and secure, and there are plenty of dog-friendly walks right from our front door.

Dog owners share their Rover experiences - Rushmoor
Dave had a fabulous 3 days with Milana, Rob and their dog Barley, it’s obvious that they absolutely love dogs ☺️ He was a happy tired boy coming home on an evening and excited to go back every morning! They were really accommodating with drop off and pick up times and I know that my little man was getting plenty of fuss and love while he was there. I’ll happily use them again in the future! Thank you so much

Murphy went away from home for the first time in 6 years and I am so glad Rupali helped us. Murphy has a habit of sitting on sofa and beds and she allowed him to go around and sit anywhere. She kept us updated throughout the day with videos and photos. Going to book her again soon and can’t recommend her enough.

Meg was contacted at very short notice to look after our son's very energetic & demanding Border Collie Coco, as we had to go with friends to a restaurant about an hour away. I was not familiar with using the Rover app which caused its own difficulties & on the day Coco was very unusually not quite her self - probably cos she had been given something unusual to eat a couple of days earlier Meg coped with all this brilliantly & gave Coco the off lead exercise that she needed & also play with a ball that Coco really enjoys Meg sent a photo of Coco during their time together Meg lives very close to us & i wouldnt hesitate to use Meg again, if the need arises
Can’t praise JC enough. She and Dre 🐶 made cooper and us (me and my husband) so comfortable in the meet and greet. We knew cooper 🐶 would be very happy there. On coopers first stay with JC we ran into unexpected road closures/ traffic/ heavy rain (all at the same time 🙈) meaning we were going to be home late which wasn’t planned but JC 🥰 was so understanding honestly can’t thank 🙏her enough and will definitely be using her services again.

My first experience with Rover and Megan made it a very good one. Megan clearly loves dogs and immediately made me feel at ease with the process. Elmo was a bit nervous on entry but Megan had him relaxed and at home within 10mins sending me picture proof of his big smiley face and another happy photo out on a walk together later in the day. Overall Megan made this the perfect experience and I will 100% be using her services again. Thanks Megan 😊

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
