“Katarzyna is a very friendly sitter and was amazing with our excitable Rocco 🐶. He loved her straight away and she saved us last minute when we needed someone to have him all day long! Great communication and definitely going to use her again 🥰”

“Larry had a great time at Prerna's today, he loved playing with a friend for a change and now he's completely zonked out. Sorry for Larry's little mistakes though! It won't happen again 😭”

“Poppy had a great couple of doggie daycare sessions with Carole, while initially nervous - Carole helped Poppy settle in and provided updates each day. Loved her report card at the end!”

“Charlotte has been fantastic with Bennie since their meet and greet. Her confidence and comfort with him were immediately apparent. Bennie has thoroughly enjoyed his time with Charlotte, her family, and playing with Marley. I would highly recommend her.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! Ruki had the absolute best time, especially playing with Sid — they got along so well and it was such a relief knowing she had a furry friend to keep her company. This is a truly dog-loving family who made Ruki feel right at home. We got regular updates and it was clear she was being treated like one of their own. Highly recommend”

“Rocco had another great day with Ed and Hannah. As always they sent pics and updates throughout the day and Rocco always looks like he’s having a relaxing and great time. Rocco can’t wait for his next stay and to check if the ducks are back!”

“Jeetinder was absolutely great with Pebbles and I will certainly call on him to care for her again in the future. He has a lovely calm energy that came across from the moment we met him with Pebbles. Jeetinder kept us updated through the day on how she was settling especially at the start when we dropped her off. Pebbles came home happy as well so all good! Thanks for being a brilliant dog sitter!”

“Ted had a lovely time with Anna & Bohdi. He was chilled and happy when I collected him. Anna kindly sent me some photos of Teddy while they were together too. This was lovely. I'll be booking again. Thank you Anna 👍🏽”

“Zoe looked after my dog really last minute and was so great. Really friendly and accommodating, sent lots of pictures and looked after my pup really well. Would really recommend Zoe to care for any pets! 😊🐶🐾”

“Our 4-month old pup loved his morning at Emi's house. There was another dog there too, and they did LOTS of playing, which meant I collected a nice sleepy pup! Emi is really well set up for looking after dogs at her house and has a brilliant garden for zoomies. Will certainly be calling on her again soon!”

“This was my first experience using Shilpi's dog care services and I'm very happy with it. Shilpi has a friendly demeanor and knows how to manage various types of dogs. She took great care of my dog and kept me updated with messages and pics regularly. The icing on the cake are her two own dogs that are so friendly and gentle with other dogs! I'm glad to have found Shilpi, and I intend to use her services in the future as and when necessary.”

“Thanks so much to Chenyan for doing such a lovely job looking after Pippin for 2 days this week. Pippin had a great time playing with Chenyan's puppy and went on adventures to the park and the beach. Pippin is only 3.5 months old and Chenyan was happy to meet up briefly for introductions first which was incredibly helpful and reassuring. Chenyan was really easy to communicate with and responsive throughout and sent lots of photos. I had no worries about leaving Pippin with Chenyan and I would definitely hope for Pippin to stay with her and Maemae again in the future :)”

“It was our second time booking doggy day care with Hannah and Andy and we’ve had another great experience. Excellent communication and welcoming atmosphere. Thank you for taking such great care of our 🐶🐶!”

“We are very happy to have found Amanda and her family. Since meet & great they have always been super friendly and you could see that they like dogs a lot, which made us very comfortable to leave Paçoca and Lennon with them. We love the organization in asking for the vaccination card and with the form we filled out. During the day we received photos and updates which left us very relieved. We definitely recommend it and we will contact them again if we need it, it is important to have someone to trust to leave our baby’s 🐶”

Meg was amazing, took care of my two Jack Russels in her lovely home. One of them is a puppy and managed to find a small hole to escape through but everything ended okay. Meg also agreed to stay a few hours longer as I run over with moving. I’d definitely recommend Meg!

Zoe is the best! She picked up Buzz and he had a wonderful day at her house whilst I had to work. Zoe’s dog Ruki is lovely and friendly and Buzz had a playmate for the day. I got cute updates of them playing during the day. Before the day Zoe was kind enough to let us pop over so buzz could familiarise himself with the house and to meet Ruki. Will definitely be in touch again 🙂 Buzz was a very happy boy!

This was Max’s first stay with Chenyan and Mae, and we couldn’t be happier. Chenyan was interested to learn about Max, so she can make his stay as enjoyable as possible. We received pictures and videos throughout the stay so we knew Max was in great hands. And last but not least, Max and Mae got on so well. It was lovely seeing them play so nicely together. Really great! Will definitely look to leave Max with Chenyan and Mae again.

I think my dog had the best day of his life so far when he spent the day with David, Freya and their gorgeous dog! They are genuine and knowledgeable dog lovers. I completely trust my dog is safe and cared for with them, as well as being able to have a fun and enriching experience. I look forward to him spending more time there.
Miki was very lovely with our pup, took lots of pictures and videos, with updates throughout the day. Communication was easy and Miki was very understanding of the inevitable accidents a young pup has. Highly recommend and will hope to usebher services again when needed!

We are very pleased to have found Shilpi who has been very responsive and accommodating. Cooper has had two day care sessions with Shilpi so far and she has been wonderful with him. Cooper loves being with other dogs and enjoys the company of Shilpi’s 2 lovely dogs. Would highly recommend.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
