“We are very happy to have found Amanda and her family. Since meet & great they have always been super friendly and you could see that they like dogs a lot, which made us very comfortable to leave Paçoca and Lennon with them. We love the organization in asking for the vaccination card and with the form we filled out. During the day we received photos and updates which left us very relieved. We definitely recommend it and we will contact them again if we need it, it is important to have someone to trust to leave our baby’s 🐶”

“Marlow had a very nice time with Anna. He was very relaxed, made to feel at home and we had great feedback, letting us know how he was getting along. We look forward to meeting again when needed.”

“Larry had a great time at Prerna's today, he loved playing with a friend for a change and now he's completely zonked out. Sorry for Larry's little mistakes though! It won't happen again 😭”

“Katarzyna very kindly looked after our Millie with very short notice. We felt so comfortable leaving Millie with her and her wonderful family. Millie had such a fun day and Katarzyna looked after her with so much love. We can’t wait for Millie to visit Katarzyna and family again!”

“Meg was amazing, took care of my two Jack Russels in her lovely home. One of them is a puppy and managed to find a small hole to escape through but everything ended okay. Meg also agreed to stay a few hours longer as I run over with moving. I’d definitely recommend Meg!”

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover offering warm, family-style care in Woodley. We spend lots of time outdoors walking, playing and enjoying fresh air. Our golden retriever, Crumble is playful, gentle and loves making new dog friends. He’s also a proud stick collector and occasional sock thief. I’m happy to follow feeding, sleep and walking routines so your dog feels settled and secure. Crumble offers playtime, toy sharing and first-class cuddles.

“Where do I even start? I sent quite a few messages to detail Lola’s needs and asked so many questions. Karen always responded very quickly, having read all the information action and sounded so calm and reassuring. Lola spent the first 2 days with Karen, Alex and Pablo and I couldn’t be happier for my baby girl. She is being made to be part of the family but is also cared for according to her needs. She returned home after a full day in Karen’s care being very happy, having zoomies 🫶🏼 Karen is extremely conscientious, caring and lovely person. She truly takes great pride in looking after my girl. Karen, I cannot thank you enough for restoring my faith in people, especially orally when it comes to looking after my baby girl. You have been godsend and we are so relieved knowing Lola is in the best home she can be when I am in the office. THANK YOU 🫶🏼”

“This was my first experience using Shilpi's dog care services and I'm very happy with it. Shilpi has a friendly demeanor and knows how to manage various types of dogs. She took great care of my dog and kept me updated with messages and pics regularly. The icing on the cake are her two own dogs that are so friendly and gentle with other dogs! I'm glad to have found Shilpi, and I intend to use her services in the future as and when necessary.”

About: Hi! I’ve been an avid animal lover ever since I was little, growing up with a wide range of pets, including turtles, hamsters, guinea pigs, cockatoos, and, of course, dogs. Currently, I share my life with a playful Jack Russell Terrier and a sweet Cocker Spaniel, so I fully understand the energy, patience, and love our furry family members need. What sets me apart from other sitters is my genuine passion and hands-on experience with different animals, allowing me to adapt to each pet’s unique needs and quirks. Whether it’s a high-energy dog needing an engaging walk, a shy pup needing gentle reassurance, or small pets needing careful attention, I provide calm, loving care so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I believe every pet deserves to feel safe, loved, and cared for, even when their owners are busy. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and will treat your pets like my own, ensuring they get the attention, exercise, and affection they need. Whilst keeping you updated and sending you pictures of your happy pups! I look forward to meeting you and your pets! I am currently on my summer holiday from university so I have full flexibility and availability to care for your pets throughout the day. I can easily accommodate their routine giving them consistent attention while your away :) Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities! At home, I ensure my Jack Russell Terrier and Cocker Spaniel have a safe, clean, and enriching environment with plenty of supervised playtime, secure spaces to relax, and daily walks to keep them happy and healthy. I apply the same level of care to the pets I look after, always keeping a close eye on their needs and ensuring they never feel lonely or stressed. I understand how important trust is when leaving your pets in someone else’s care, and I am committed to providing updates and photos, so you always know your pets are safe, loved, and in good hands.
“We urgently needed a dog sitter to fill in for a cancelled booking. Luckily, we found Saranjeet, who took great care of Willow. Saranjeet is very methodical, and his dog Olli has a wonderful temperament. Totally recommend.”

“Pongo has stayed overnight & gone for daycare separately. He always comes home tired & happy which is perfect 💚 I enjoy seeing the photos of his walks & him chilling around. They also catered for him when he was a little restless on his first night. Would certainly recommend 😊”

Zoe is the best! She picked up Buzz and he had a wonderful day at her house whilst I had to work. Zoe’s dog Ruki is lovely and friendly and Buzz had a playmate for the day. I got cute updates of them playing during the day. Before the day Zoe was kind enough to let us pop over so buzz could familiarise himself with the house and to meet Ruki. Will definitely be in touch again 🙂 Buzz was a very happy boy!

This was Max’s first stay with Chenyan and Mae, and we couldn’t be happier. Chenyan was interested to learn about Max, so she can make his stay as enjoyable as possible. We received pictures and videos throughout the stay so we knew Max was in great hands. And last but not least, Max and Mae got on so well. It was lovely seeing them play so nicely together. Really great! Will definitely look to leave Max with Chenyan and Mae again.

I think my dog had the best day of his life so far when he spent the day with David, Freya and their gorgeous dog! They are genuine and knowledgeable dog lovers. I completely trust my dog is safe and cared for with them, as well as being able to have a fun and enriching experience. I look forward to him spending more time there.

We are very pleased to have found Shilpi who has been very responsive and accommodating. Cooper has had two day care sessions with Shilpi so far and she has been wonderful with him. Cooper loves being with other dogs and enjoys the company of Shilpi’s 2 lovely dogs. Would highly recommend.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
