“My 4 month old puppy had a great day with Kelly (and if he knew he was going again in a few days, I'm sure he would be beyond excited!). I really value Kelly's communication, she is very quick to respond and very helpful with questions as this was my first Rover experience. I would certainly recommend Kelly”

About: Welcome! My goal is to make every dog feel safe, happy and loved while you’re away. I provide a calm, clean and caring home where dogs are treated like family. I have several years of experience caring for dogs for friends, family and clients. Every dog is different, so I take the time to understand their personality, routine and individual needs. I have a flexible schedule, which means your dog will enjoy plenty of attention, walks, playtime, cuddles and a calm home environment. I always follow your instructions carefully and provide regular photo and message updates, so you can relax knowing your dog is in safe and caring hands. I look forward to welcoming your dog into my home and caring for them as if they were part of the family. I have a flexible schedule, which allows me to give every dog plenty of time and attention. I am available throughout the week and weekends for walks, playtime, feeding and overnight stays. I always adapt to each dog’s routine to help them feel relaxed and at home. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow every owner’s instructions, including feeding schedules, medication, exercise routines and any special requirements. I provide a clean, calm and loving home where dogs can feel secure and relaxed.
“Philippa was fantastic looking after my dog, Gamba and I would recommend her 100%. She was great at communicating and sending us photos and updates during his stay. Gamba took to Philippa very quickly and seemed very comfortable with her and her very friendly dog. Will definitely be using her again 🙂”

“I’ve had Eddie stay with Sally on numerous occasions. She is my go to lady for day care and boarding and Eddie pulls on the lead to get in to her house when I drop him off. Highly recommend”

“We are so blessed to have Ellie in our lives. Cody loves her too! Thank you Ellie as always for loving Cody like he is your own- I never worry about him. I have no hesitation in recommending Ellie to look after your puppy/ dog.”

“Louise was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we met. She kept me updated throughout the day with photos and messages, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away at a wedding. She was also able to accommodate a long day of dog sitting without any issues. Lagertha was well looked after, fed, and taken for walks, and I came home to one very tired and happy pup! Thank you so much for taking such great care of her. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Louise to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.”

“Sophie and her lovely son made Louis feel instantly at home, their warmth and kindness meant he settled quickly and confidently. The photos she shared of him playing and relaxing were such a comfort while we were away. We’re also lucky she lives just around the corner, so Louis will definitely be visiting again many times in the future”

About: We are a family of 6 (2 adults, 2 children, 1 dog and Robert the hamster) I had two spaniels, a beautiful old boy who was 11 years (no longer with us) and a 1yr old boy. I have experience training and raising my senior dog from 16 weeks old. He became a Pets as Therapy dog and was adored at a local primary school. He was a wonderfully calm loving dog that was quite creaky by the end; so I understand the patience and gentle care that older dogs need (if you are worried about an older slower doggo being in someone else's care). I also have a furry ball of fun! I have had my youngest pup since he was 8 weeks and this has meant I have had to start all over again and recap all our past training! He will also train to become a therapy dog when he is older (wish me luck!). I have room for 1-2 dogs during the week. I work from home so I am in most of the day, every day. I walk the dogs straight after the morning school run around 9am and again pop out either before the 3pm pick up or just after (with children in tow). The dogs get attention whenever they potter up to me whilst I'm working , I enjoy the company! I am happy to accept any dog of any age that has a good temperament. I have two school aged children (6 + 8) who have grown up with dogs and understand how to respect and play with them. However, their safety (along with my dog and yours) is paramount. So if you have a reactive dog I'm afraid I won't be able to help you. The dogs have free reign of the downstairs of my house and the backdoor to the (fenced) garden is open in almost all weather (unless it is freezing or torrential!). My dog is crate trained so is also in and out throughout the day but is mostly asleep at my feet in the kitchen! I can also separate the dogs between the living room and kitchen if they need downtime from playing.
“Maple had a wonderful time with J and Dre. Would love to book Maple in again. Dre is the cutest dog and got along well with Maple, and J took such brilliant care of Maple - she was one sleepy pup after I picked her up. Thanks so much and for the pup-updates throughout the day.”

About: I have always grown up with dogs. I currently work for a dog walking company and I have a dog walking diploma, completed a pet sitting course as well as a pet 1st aid course. I also have business insurance too. I am a single mother of 4. I currently work for a dog walking company, so any dog that I look after will be walked and cared for like my own, I can walk in a group or can walk as solo. I will always be available to give 100 percent care to any dog that comes to stay with me! No dog will ever be left alone for any length of time! Even during school runs someone is always home.
“Tiya - our spaniel- had a wonderful visit with Tyla. She was clearly a very happy dog from the moment we met and she loved meeting everyone, her walk and playtime. Thank you Tyla- recommend this sitter to anyone looking for super doggie care”

“My Cockapoo pup Milo seems to have had a great time with Kanishka and family today. He was calm and happy when I picked him up, has had a nice walk, and seems to have got on well with Kanishka's dogs. I wouldn't hesitate to book with Kanishka again. Many thanks !”

About: I am 37 years old and have personally had cats and dogs for over 20 years and taken care of many dogs for friends and family when they have been away or busy with work. Every single one, from the Labradors to the Newfoundland, it has been a pleasure. I find all animals are a joy to be with and I thoroughly enjoy training them and playing with them. I enjoy finding ways to keep their minds active, as it benefits them greatly with their obedience and helps them rest. I recently lost my beautiful labrador friends, and currently have two smaller dogs, who are very friendly and get on well with other dogs and are very obedient. I take it upon myself to learn new ways to care for and train dogs, it is a huge interest of mine. On a personal level, I have previously worked with the Police and volunteered for the Ambulance service. I have a completely clear enhanced DBS check. I have undertaken a pet first aid course to ensure I am able to deal with any emergency that may arise. I am happy working with all breeds of dog, and have experience with high-energy working dogs too, such as Malinois, but would need to know of any issues to be sure I can cater for it. Happy to train dogs whilst walking/sitting as well, but would need to know the issues prior. I have experience working with dogs that are nervous or scared of specific things, as well as experience of dogs that pull when walking, and/or can be aggressive towards others. I will only ever work with one client at a time and never take multiple jobs at once. This ensures peace of mind that your dog would have my full attention and there should be no conflict with other unknown dogs. Please ensure that you are happy paying me through Rover before booking. I’m currently working for myself in IT which gives me the flexibility to work different hours and enables me to be able to walk and play with dogs when needed to help others. I will have a discussion with you about what you would prefer for your pet, and any specific needs. I will always endeavour to meet your needs/requirements where possible and I will always look after your property.

Kelly was very attentive to my dog's needs and superb at handling my dog! I told Kelly a number of things such as feeding habits, walking habits and some of my dog's quirks, and she remembered all these things and took such good care of my dog. Kelly is very caring and trustworthy, and I'll definitely be booking doggy daycare with her again. Also, Kelly's dog Mabel is such a gentle and easy going dog, so it was really nice to leave my dog Jina with her, knowing that Mabel would be patient with my dog and and a calm influence on her. Thank you Kelly for taking such good care of my dog 😊

Jemima was wonderful with Maddie today. She kept me updated throughout, took her for lovely walks and swim, and made sure she was settled and happy. It was clear Maddie felt comfortable and well cared for — and will be very happy to visit again. Thank you, Jemima! 🐾

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
