“I booked Stella to look after my dog Snowy and couldn’t have been happier. She was incredibly responsive, flexible, and genuinely caring. Snowy settled in straight away, and I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such capable hands. Highly recommend Stella for anyone looking for a reliable and loving dog sitter.”

“Joe has done a very good job of looking after our dog. Rudy, the four legged recipient of said care, was very happy. We noticed that with other dog minders, when we would pick up Rudy, he would be anxious and behaving as if he can’t wait to go home, but with Joe, he was peaceful and relaxed, as if the time they spent together was something they’ve done very often. 5/5 stars in my opinion!”

“At risk of sounding repetitive, Bingo adores his time with David & his lovely household which is lucky as both work & family demands necessitated greater cover for a period. This has now officially become a second home to him. As a rescue who loves the outdoors & other dogs but may always have an element of anxiety when without his trusted companions, our/Bingo’s finding David & the company of his & other dogs there has been a game changer due to reliability, incredible flexibility & willingness to help do all he can to accommodate last minute requests. It’s allowed us to take on commitments we would otherwise have had to decline. A huge thank you. So highly recommended.”

“Anna and Adam did an excellent job of looking after of our 5 months old puppy labrador. They sent regular photos and a video reassuring us that everything was going well. Our puppy had a wonderful time and we were so happy with the care she was given. We will be using Anna's service again and would have no issue recommending her (and already have!)”

“Very calm and confident lady, with a super friendly dog of her own for company. Bibi seems to have been very relaxed and happy in her stay and we were extra grateful for the short notice booking. Candice is highly recommended.”

“Monster had a lovely time with Georgina, Baxter and Hugo. It was super hot so the dogs were kept (rightly) but with lots of toys and comfy places to try to chill (not her forte 😂). Georgina was also amazing with my being late because of train nonsense, really grateful. Thank you and we’ll definitely book with Georgina and family again”

About: Hey, I'm Emily, and I've been around animals for most of my life. I completed a two-year Animal Management course at college and gained lots of hands-on experience through placements at veterinary practices, the RSPCA, at a riding school, an agricultural school in Norway, and conservation projects in rainforest environments across the globe. Alongside this, I also regularly care for pets belonging to my friends and family. I have experience with dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior dogs with additional care needs. I have plenty of experience with dogs requiring extra care, as I regularly care for my parents Cockapoo with a range of health conditions, and my partner's Dachshund who lived to 15 years old and required support with IVDD. These experiences have given me great experience and ability to adapt care to each dog's individual needs. I share my home with my friendly two year old Cocker Spaniel, who loves meeting and playing with other dogs! My partner Alex and I both work from home, meaning your dog will never be left alone and will receive plenty of attention, companionship, and supervision throughout the day. Dogs staying with us can enjoy daily walks tailored to their needs, regular playtime in our secure garden and home, and lots of affection. I'm also happy to provide regular photo updates, as I love capturing special moments and helping owners feel connected while they're away. I joined Rover as we have the time, space, and flexibility to provide a genuine home-from-home experience. We love welcoming canine guests, and our dog Willow is always excited to make new friends! ☺️ My partner and I both work from home, which means your dog will have company and supervision throughout the day and will never be left alone. Our flexible schedules allow us to provide regular toilet breaks, playtime, enrichment activities, and plenty of attention. We are available for dog boarding throughout the week and on most weekends. Daily walks are tailored to each dog's needs, with opportunities for exercise, play, and relaxation. We also have a secure garden where dogs can safely spend time outdoors. We understand that every dog has their own routine, so we're happy to accommodate feeding schedules, sleeping arrangements, and other preferences wherever possible. Regular photo and video updates are available to give you peace of mind while you're away. Your dog's safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I live in a house with a secure, enclosed garden, and because my partner and I both work from home, dogs are never left alone and receive plenty of attention throughout the day. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, including puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with additional care needs. I share my home with my friendly young Cocker Spaniel, and all dogs are introduced carefully to ensure everyone feels comfortable and relaxed. I'm happy to provide regular photo updates during your dog's stay, so you can have peace of mind knowing they're safe, settled, and having fun.
About: Hello! I'm a French/ English national who has lived in the UK for over 15 years and have spent most of my life around dogs. Caring for pets has always been part of my family life, and I genuinely enjoy their companionship and unique personalities. My wife and I recently moved from London to a spacious home in Surrey to enjoy a quieter lifestyle, more outdoor space, and a better environment for our young son. Both, me and my wife work from home, which means there's always someone around during the day to provide company, attention, and regular walks. We have a secure garden, access to beautiful countryside walks, and plenty of space for dogs to relax and feel at home. We also share our home with Bali, our friendly ginger cat, who has grown up around dogs and gets along surprisingly well with them. I understand how important it is to leave your pet somewhere safe, loving, and reliable when you're away. We aim to provide a calm, family-oriented environment where your dog will be treated as one of our own, with plenty of affection, playtime, and companionship. I am particularly suited to caring for well-socialized dogs who enjoy a home environment and being part of everyday family life. My wife and I both work primarily from home, so there is usually someone around throughout the day. This means pets receive plenty of company, regular toilet breaks, and attention as part of our normal routine. We enjoy daily walks and spending time outdoors, and having pets around fits naturally into our family life. We only take on a limited number of pets at a time to ensure each one receives the care and attention they deserve. We live in a spacious family home with a secure, fully fenced garden and plenty of room for pets to relax. Before each stay, we take time to understand your pet's routine, personality, and any specific needs so we can make them feel as comfortable as possible. We supervise outdoor time, introduce animals carefully, and ensure every pet has a quiet space to rest if needed. Our approach is to provide a calm, loving home environment where pets are treated as part of the family while maintaining the routines and boundaries they are used to.
“I couldn’t be happier with the care Jo-Anne gave my dachshund, Callie, for the day. She was attentive, and made sure Callie felt at home from the moment she arrived. Jo-Anne kept me updated with lovely photos throughout the day, which really put my mind at ease. I definitely would be happy to book her again!”

“Isabelle, was very proactive and my communication with her was very easy. She kept me updated about Luna with her pictures and videos. Thank you dear for taking care of my pet. Would definitely recommend her :)”

“Jack was very felixible and accommodated Zara at short notice (night before). He also took a real interest and asked all the right questions, especially as he was looking after another dog. Zara had a great time, and enjoyed all the new surroundings. Jack also enjoyed entertaining Zara! We are not local but if we were in Woking again we would look to rebook Jack.”

“the whole process was very easy and Ellie settled very quickly with Ciaran who looked after her for the day. we are glad we found Ciaran and look forward to making another booking.”

About: I’m a dedicated and experienced dog owner with over 17 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages — from playful, energetic puppies to gentle, beloved senior dogs. I’m familiar with their changing needs and know how to provide the right balance of attention, affection, and structure. I also have experience administering oral medications and supporting pets with special health needs, always with patience and care. Every dog I look after is treated like family. I am currently work from home, I am flexible to fit your schedule. Let's discuss what fits your schedule. I prefer something after 11am, weekend is also fine for me. I currently live in a flat, so I’m unable to offer boarding services. However, I’m happy to provide dedicated and loving pet sitting at your home to ensure your pet feels comfortable and secure in their own environment.
About: Hi, I’m Mona! 🐾 I’ve grown up surrounded by cats and dogs — our family home was always full of furry friends, many of them rescues or strays we took in. I recently had a lovely cat of my own who sadly passed away, but animals have always been a big part of my life and I can’t imagine a home without them. I have the most experience with small to medium-sized pets, so that’s where I’m most comfortable. I’ve also helped out friends and family with their cats and dogs over the years — they say I’m reliable, caring, and always up for walks, playtime, and cuddles. Honestly, I seem to attract animals wherever I go! I work full-time from home, which means I can give your pet plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m also completely free on weekends, so your furry friend will have company and care whenever you need it. I work remotely during the week so I can play and feed your pet. Unfortunately I don't have a garden as I live in a flat but I have lots of greenery near me with Woking park in walking distance too so there's no problem on providing few walking times a day. I'm also available anytime on weekends. I live in a flat so there's no outdoor spaces and outside my flat its a clean and secure corridor and the exit door is always kept shut.

“Ceri took Phoebes for the day. Phoebes seemed to settle in quickly, and was handed back in one piece. Ceri was flexible and communicative. Phoebe seems to like her and the house. She doesn’t normally eat in new environments but she ate quite a bit. They went on a walk. Looks like there a few good spots for walkies in the area. Booking was really straightforward, house is easy to find. No drama. Will consider using Ceri again in future.”

“Suki stayed with Hima and her family for daycare. Hima was great with Suki, and so was their lovely dog Kush! Suki made a new friend and had an amazing time! Hima sent us updates and photos throughout the day. We will happily leave Suki with Hima again!”

Monster had a lovely time with Georgina, Baxter and Hugo. It was super hot so the dogs were kept (rightly) but with lots of toys and comfy places to try to chill (not her forte 😂). Georgina was also amazing with my being late because of train nonsense, really grateful. Thank you and we’ll definitely book with Georgina and family again

Dim Sum had a great time with Kirsten and Astro. Kirsten is very caring and gentle with Dim Sum. She’s also responsive and communicated constantly with me with photos and videos. I feel very comfortable to leave my cheeky boy with her and I can tell Dim Sum is happy around Kirsten and Astro as well 😊

Jack was very felixible and accommodated Zara at short notice (night before). He also took a real interest and asked all the right questions, especially as he was looking after another dog. Zara had a great time, and enjoyed all the new surroundings. Jack also enjoyed entertaining Zara! We are not local but if we were in Woking again we would look to rebook Jack.

Ayna is amazing! Our 16 week old pup stayed with her the whole day and clearly loved spending time with her. She provided updates to reassure us that our boy was having a good time. Ayna is super patient, caring and so lovely. We will be making her our dedicated sitter anytime we need her and she’s willing to take our pup!

Our spaniel has stayed with Tara twice now and was very excited to be heading back there despite being a slightly nervous dog. She's come back happy and relaxed both times. Her dog Barney has been very friendly with her too which is lovely to see. Will definitely book again.

Esme, our five month old puppy had a lovely time with Kirstyn today. She was looked after very well and Kirstyn followed all our requests for Esme. Esme came home full of beans and was really happy, this shows us she was looked after exceptionally well. She needs lots of love and attention due to her age and clearly got load’s of fuss and kept well entertained. Thank you Kirstyn, Esme can’t wait for her next visit!

Kora was absolutely wonderful with my dog, Levi! She's a true natural with dogs and clearly has a passion for what she does. Not only was she great with Levi, but she was also excellent at communicating and was always on time. It's so reassuring to know that your pet is in such good hands. I highly recommend her and will definitely be booking her again!

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
