“Drop in visits We were so pleased to find Annie to look after our young cats, Otis and Nina, while we were away for a few days. We had never left them overnight before but Annie reassured us when we met her. She did a fantastic job , not only feeding them etc but getting our rather nervous cats to play with her. She sent detailed reports of each visit as well as lovely photos so that we knew they were being well cared for. We would highly recommend her as a cat-sitter. Gill, Naomi, Otis and Nina.”

“Becca is Amazing, our two cats are not the friendliest as they don't like new people, Becca goes above and beyond to try and build a good relationship with them, she listens to every detail about our pets issues and she does a few extra bits round the kitchen which is lovely! Thank so much Becca! Defiantly have you cat sit again! and in the future!!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for years and love them all whether it’s cuddly lap dogs or racing spaniels. My work schedule doesn’t allow for me to get my own dog at the moment, so hoping to look after others’ to get my dog fix! I work biweekly shifts in Egham so could be available in the mornings or early evenings depending on the week if you’re unable to feed or walk your pet. One of my favourite things to do is go for a walk on the weekend so having your dog join me would be heaven! At home, I have a fenced garden with grass and access directly from the house or driveway within walking distance from Woking Park or the canal- depending on what type of walk they prefer! At your home, I would follow all instructions given, clean up after a messy walk and make sure I give them plenty of attention!

“Volha done an amazing job looking after our cat. Communication was great, kept us updated with each visit and provided lots of lovely photos which we appreciated. Great to know our cat was in such great hands. Would recommend!”

“Frederique was a great sitter for Milo! It was a late drop-in visit booking and she communicated well throughout, sharing pictures and videos of Milo, who loved spending time with her. Milo would certainly love to see Frederique again, and I would highly recommend her to others. Thank you, Frederique.”

About: I love dogs! I have a golden retriever called Papaya, and he's currently living with my parents in Brazil (I'm in the process of bringing him over this year), and he's my baby. Dogs were always part of my life, me and my brothers grew up with a poodle mixed with cocker spaniel, and she was the best part of coming back from school. I looked over dogs during my university days, and I want to go back to it while I can't have Papaya here. I work from home 2 days during the week and I'm mostly free on weekends - so can be with pets the whole day for those days :) I work from home twice a week, and have a very easy schedule. We live in a house with a garden, and there's a park 2-min walking time away. We don't have many furnitures and we never leave small things around that you pet can eat accidentally. Also, as a dog owner, I'm pretty aware of toxic foods or plants, so we never give pets things that aren't included in their diet, and the plants we have are all pet safe.
“Elaine provided us with lovely updates including photos so we knew what she had got up to with our dog whilst we were out. It was clear that Bodhi had a great time with her.”

“Absolutely fantastic, Stella was lovely with Roo and gave us a comprehensive update and photos of the drop in. We’ve now scheduled her for regular drop ins and are very happy, highly recommended.”

“Thank you so much to Ilaria who came to walk Bonnie, check on the cats and give them all breakfast when I had to be off very early on a Sunday morning. She sent lots of pictures and all the pets happy when I got home. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ilaria and would be very happy to have her back soon.”

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Woking pet parents with similar pet households.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Woking choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
