About: I’ve had dogs throughout my life and have always loved being around them. I previously volunteered with Rescue Remedies in Guildford, helping to walk and care for rescue dogs while they waited for their forever homes. Through the charity, I adopted my beloved dog Henry, a Staffy-Boxer cross, who was a much loved member of our family for many years. Sadly, Henry passed away a couple of years ago and with two young boys aged 7 and 3, we haven’t felt ready to commit to another dog of our own just yet. Dog walking gives me the opportunity to spend time with dogs again while helping owners who need a reliable, caring person to look after their pets. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your dog and will always treat them with kindness, patience and care. I am a stay at home mum with two young boys. My youngest is now at nursery most days, which gives me availability during the day after the school run and before pick up. This means I can offer reliable weekday dog walks and drop in visits, providing your pet with exercise, company and care while you’re at work or away from home. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing will always be my priority. I am reliable, caring and understand how important it is to trust someone with your dog. We live in a spacious five bedroom home with a large, securely fenced garden, providing a safe environment for dogs if required. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or taking them for a walk, I’ll always follow your instructions carefully and treat them as if they were my own. I am also happy to provide regular photo updates for peace of mind.

About: I absolutely adore taking care of pets probably more than the pets themselves! I have experience in puppy training and can offer all the attention they need. I have many big outdoor spaces available to me for their long walks and will welcome them into the cosiest home of ours. I’ve missed having a dog around the house since I moved out my family home to come to Surrey for uni. So I’d adore having a dog to keep me company again! I work part time and therefore have a lot of spare time to dedicate to pet care. I am passionate about training puppies and love having them around not only the company but the energy they bring. I love long walks and would love to bring them with me to share the experience. I have a comfortable living space that I allow pets to climb and sit on. There are many outdoor parks and fields near me that they can enjoy.

About: Hey! We are Eve & Ryan, a friendly couple living in Camberley. We have always had dogs in our lives and are very experienced at looking after them, caring for every age from puppies to elderly dogs. Our family dogs were schnauzers, basset hounds and beagles so we are used to a range of personalities! 🐶 We have a very relaxed, loving home, and a safe and secure walled garden, with plenty of space for a pup to play and have a sniff around. Inside, there is plenty of space for them to relax or curl up on the sofa. We look after many of our friends and family's four-legged family members, and whilst we are waiting to get our own, we would love to offer a reliable, friendly, familiar home for your pets. We only care for one dog at a time (or dogs from the same household). This allows us to provide a truly personalised service, giving your dog our undivided attention, tailored care, and a calm home-from-home environment throughout their stay. We can adapt their routine to suit their individual needs, whether that's extra walks, playtime, enrichment, cuddles, or simply a quiet place to relax. Whether it's drop-ins, walks, overnight care, or dog boarding, we're happy to help! We're fully insured and licensed for dog boarding. Either myself or Ryan will be at home to walk and care for your dog. We both work for ourselves so work hybrid quite a bit, and I am always free on weekends. I work with schools so I also have a DBS certificate. It is so important to leave your dogs in the safe hands of a professional with plenty of hands-on experiences in looking after your precious family member. I am very open to midweek if your dog would like to pop along to my small dog-friendly office (ground floor with a secure garden) in egham with me, but just let me know what your requirements are. We live in a lovely and green area, so there are plenty of great walking spots around us for on and off lead dog walks. Please do let us know your dogs needs and we will be happy to accommodate. And of course while you have entrusted us with your beloved family member, we will keep you updated on how your dog is doing whilst in our care with photos and regular updates to keep your mind at ease. Happy to chat, just drop us a message! Either myself or Ryan will be at home to walk and care for your dog. We both work for ourselves so work hybrid quite a bit, and I am always free on weekends. I am a runner and walker. We're both very active so happy to take your dog out daily for as long or short as needed. We have a very relaxed, loving home, and a safe and secure walled garden, with plenty of space for a pup to play and have a sniff around. Inside, there is plenty of space for them to relax or curl up on the sofa. We are not precious about sofas and beds, so the dogs we look after do sometimes sleep at the end of our bed. Although, if your dog is used to a crate, we are more than happy to follow the routine you already have.

About: I specialise in looking after working breeds and high energy dogs, although I’ll happily look after your sofa pup too! Offering a wrap around service including pickup/ drop off, daycare and sitting in my home with my dog. Cuddles and lots of enriching walks with scent work and gun dog training, and regular pupdates so you can keep up to date with your dogs adventures with me. I work freelance, and offer my services between my contracts so your pup has my full attention and day. Our day will be filled with a long walk exploring the woods, followed by chill out time back at home, and a couple of short toilet and play breaks in the garden. I can walk your dog with mine or separately if you prefer, although most dogs are happy to come on adventures with Charlie. I don’t look after dogs when I’m working, so I tend to not accept sitting far in advance. I’m great for that last minute trip or booking. I have a fenced in garden, and look after dogs along with my dog friendly cocker spaniel Charlie. I offer a truely dog friendly home where your dog is welcome to curl up on the sofa or bed with after their walk. Happy to crate if preferred. I offer off lead( if approved by you) walks in the woods and the heaths. I am used to working line and high energy dogs and their needs.

About: I’ve gained hands-on experience caring for dogs through regularly helping friends and family, especially during lockdown when I supported with feeding, walking, and daily care. I’m comfortable looking after dogs of different sizes and temperaments, and I always make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for. I’m reliable, patient, and happy to follow any specific routines or instructions to keep your pet comfortable and happy. I currently work two days a week on a rotating schedule, so my days off vary. However, I’m very flexible and able to accommodate bookings around my work. On working days, I typically finish by 2pm, which means I’m available for afternoon and evening walks, check-ins, or sitting. On my days off, I have full availability and can provide more dedicated care. I always aim to be as flexible and reliable as possible to suit each owner’s needs. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take time to understand each dog’s personality and carefully read their body language to make sure they feel relaxed and secure. I’m mindful that every dog is different, especially around other dogs, so I always take a safety-first approach when out on walks or in new environments. I follow any specific instructions closely, keep routines consistent, and ensure a calm, secure setting whether in your home or out and about.

First time leaving our dog alone for an extended period of time. He is boisterous and doesn't listen to many commands, so we were very nervous, but Tigan has handled everything perfectly. From the very beginning, she has been incredibly professional, reliable, and genuinely caring. Always easy to contact her and accommodating to our needs. We returned back to a happy and clean pup. I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Surrey Heath choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 88% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
