“Our second time having Hayley look after our cat Bumble while we went on holiday and as before she has gone above and beyond for us, nothing has been too much trouble. Hayley is always very friendly, hard working and approachable for anything needed. We would jump at the chance to book Hayley next time we need a cat sitter! Thanks so much again.”
“Thank you Catherine for looking after Milo whilst we were on holiday. Video and updates were very much welcomed. We will definitely be asking Catherine to cat sit in the future.”

About: Caring for my rescue dog from Romania, who was timid and scared, has taught me patience, understanding and how to confidently handle dogs of all personalities. I have a flexible part-time schedule, so I can offer walks, playtime, and drop ins most days. I’ll do my best to fit around your dog’s routine! I don’t currently accommodate dogs at my home. All walks and visits would take place outside or at your home, where your dog can feel safe and relaxed.
About: PLEASE NOTE: This profile is for both my partner, Holly, and I. The main experience from pet sitting comes from me but unfortunately I do not drive and rely on my girlfriend for transport, she also has some experience, if you have any worries or concerns then please don’t hesitate to reach out to me! Also, I work as well as dog sitting so please don’t forget to read all of my profile, thank you! I have lived with animals ever since I can remember. I have had many family dogs and cats that I have cared for. I think this is where my love of animals has stemmed from. I have also looked after family members, friends and neighbours animals. I attended Merrist Wood college studying animal management, including kennel work, we would look after the teachers dogs daily, which ranged from puppies to elderly dogs of different breeds. I am currently part-time working from 6am-12pm and 5am-11am Tuesday to Saturday, I am free any time after around 12pm. I do not work Sunday or Monday so I will be able to walk dogs on this day as well. I obey house rules, such as, no dogs/cats upstairs if they aren’t allowed. I am also confident with crating your animal if needs be. I am tidy when staying at your house and will give your pet all the love they need. It would be both my partner and I staying at your house as she is the one that currently drives out of us both at the moment, any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.
About: Hi! We’re a caring and reliable family of 3 who absolutely love animals and understand how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your pet. Animals have always been a big part of our lives, we’ve had both dogs and cats growing up and throughout our adult life, so caring for pets comes naturally to us. We currently have a beautiful Golden Retriever called Charlie, who we brought over with us from South Africa when we immigrated, and our cat Jag. The two of them are the best of mates! Our home is full of love, attention, and plenty of experience with animals of different personalities, sizes, and energy levels. For us, pets are family. Our animals are allowed on the furniture and beds, and they’re treated as part of the family every single day. We want every pet staying with us to feel relaxed, comfortable, loved, and right at home while you’re away. We know every pet has their own routine and needs, so we always make sure they feel safe and settled. Whether your dog enjoys long walks and playtime or simply relaxing with company and cuddles, we’re happy to adapt to what makes them happiest. As a family, your pet will receive lots of attention throughout the day, regular exercise, affection, and supervision. We’re also happy to stick closely to feeding schedules, medication, crate training, and any special routines to help your pet feel secure and comfortable. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and comfort are always our priority, and we’ll care for them as if they were our own. What you can expect: • Regular photo and video updates • A loving family environment • Plenty of playtime, walks, cuddles, and affection • Pets treated like part of the family • Safe, clean, and welcoming home • Reliable communication and flexible care We’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pet, feel free to message us with any questions or special requests! Either myself, my wife or son will be home during the day. We never leave our pets alone for longer than a couple hours. Weekends we love to take Charlie to the park for walks and play time. We have a large fenced off garden for our beautiful friendly golden retriever called Charlie and our loving Cat Jag, they both sleep in our room, most of the time on the bed.
About: I grew up with cats but have always dreamt of having a dog. I’d love to take your dog for a walk, play and care for them! I’m working 3 long shifts a week and therefore have some free time the rest of the week/ weekend. Please contact me for any information I have looked after a variety of dog breeds, from puppy age to more senior dogs. I do not have any pet of my own

About: I have had dogs for 10+ years. Prior to that, when I lived in London, we regularly looked after dogs through the "Borrow My Doggy" app. I am regularly working from home. We have our own dog, and I also only work 2 days a week. We have a lovely, friendly beagle of our own who loves people, children and having dogs over. I will be in charge of doggy care. I work from home, so I can be very flexible. I have a large garden, and our house backs onto a cricket field and park, which is lovely for walks. The downstairs of our house can be contained and has wood floors, which is good for dogs and keeping them clean. We love going for walks. I work from home at times and only work part-time. Our garden is safe and secure, as we have a beagle we have to ensure its secure for her.

About: Hello! I am a passionate animal lover who finds real joy in caring for cats or dogs. I can offer home sitting, boarding, drop in checks and general dog walking services in a safe, fun and loving way. Your dog will enjoy walks in their local area or afar if they can travel in a car (dog hammock for full back seat and dog seat belt are provided for my car), playtime, cuddles on the couch and plenty of attention in a calm environment. Have looked after friends dogs and cats over many years, more regularly in the last two years covering drop ins, boarding, sitting and dog walking. Each time the pets are very happy and content. I currently work remotely from home 3 days a week with 2 days office based so my routine is based around: - AM walk - PM walk Depending on your distance from me and the booking requirements (boarding, sitting, drop-in etc) variations to the above can change and are flexible. - Car travel I provide a fully waterproof back seat hammock and dog seat belt should your dog require exercise at a location that is beyond a reasonable walking distance. - Keep dogs on leads at all times, albeit on an extended/retractable lead if available. Willing to take off lead if permission is provided and your pet shows sufficient recall to me. - Before any booking is confirmed, I will suggest a meet n greet with you and your furry friend to build trust and familiarity where we can then go over specific requirements and personality quirks.
“Sam took great care of our cat oreo while we visited family over Christmas. Oreo was happy and relaxed when we came back. Sam kept us updated daily with progress and photos , it was very reassuring. Highly recommend Sam as a pet sitter and would definitely use again.”

About: I have over four years of professional pet care experience and am passionate about providing safe, reliable, and loving care for animals of all kinds. Prior to this, I worked in a veterinary setting, where I gained valuable hands-on experience caring for pets and supporting their health and wellbeing. I hold certifications in Pet First Aid and have additional training in pet care, pet training, and dog grooming. My background allows me to confidently care for pets with a wide range of needs and personalities. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust. I currently have three dogs and a rabbit, giving me plenty of personal experience with day-to-day animal care. Over the years, I have built strong relationships with many regular clients who trust me to care for their pets as if they were my own. I love meeting new pets and their owners and look forward to providing attentive, professional care for even more furry friends through Rover. This keeps the emphasis on your experience, qualifications, and client relationships, rather than on running your own pet-sitting business, which may fit Rover’s preferences better. My schedule is flexible, and I plan my day around the pets in my care. I have regular dog walks throughout the day, which allows me to provide consistent exercise, enrichment, and companionship for the dogs I look after. I am available for morning, afternoon, and evening visits, as well as overnight stays when arranged in advance. I always follow each pet’s usual routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and settled. Pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, feeding, and regular toilet breaks throughout the day. I also provide updates, photos, and messages so owners can have peace of mind while they’re away. Safety and wellbeing are always my top priorities. With previous experience working in veterinary care and certification in Pet First Aid, I am trained to recognise signs of illness, injury, stress, or discomfort and respond appropriately. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding, medication, exercise, and routines. Dogs are always walked on secure leads unless owners have specifically approved otherwise in a safe, enclosed area. I take time to understand each pet’s personality, behaviour, and any special requirements before providing care. I maintain a clean, secure environment, regularly check gates, doors, and equipment, and ensure pets are supervised appropriately. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident that their pets are safe, happy, and well cared for.

Each and every animal deserves love, care and attention, which is why I love welcoming furry friends into my home to give them the love attention they deserve while you are away! I’m currently at home most of the time with my toodler whom also loves animals! I want to help out those whom need a pet sitter to give their pets the attention and love that they deserve when you are busy! I have a spacious and warm home for your furry friend to roam and play around! I also have a good sized private and fenced garden.

It is also reassuring knowing we can totally rely on Jo, she is dependable and very thorough. I love her regular updates and photos, too. We are so lucky to have her looking after Iz.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Runnymede pet parents with similar pet households.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Runnymede choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
