“We cannot recommend Julia highly enough! She’s an absolutely lovely person, so calm and kind to our dogs. She is so polite and friendly and is always on time. Our dogs love her & are so pleased to see her each time she comes.”

“Rafi sat with the dogs today and was brilliant. The dogs were so happy and relaxed with her and she gave them a fun game too. Thank you, Rafi! Look forward to you coming back soon.”

“Rosco was suitably tired when we returned, indicating that he'd had lots of walks. Geoff respected our home and we wouldn't have known someone had been staying there. Geoff's definitely added to our regular "go to" list for next time.”

“We felt so comfortable leaving our young puppy with Harriet. He was incredibly settled and she sent regular updates for us so we felt at ease whilst at work! Would happily use her again and recommend her to anyone.”

About: I've owned and cared for dogs throughout my life, from childhood to the present day. This has given me extensive hands-on experience with daily care, exercise, feeding routines, basic training reinforcement, and understanding canine behaviour. I am comfortable handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments and understand the importance of providing safe, enjoyable walks tailored to each dog's individual needs. I offer flexible availability throughout the week and will always do my best to accommodate your pet's routine. I understand how important consistency is for pets, so I aim to provide reliable care and clear communication at all times. Your pet's safety, comfort, and wellbeing are my highest priorities. I understand that every pet is unique, with their own personality, routine, and needs, and I take the time to ensure they receive care tailored to them. Whether providing walks, drop-in visits, or pet sitting, I always aim to create a calm, safe, and positive environment where pets feel secure and cared for. I pay close attention to their behaviour and wellbeing and will keep you updated so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I understand the trust involved in caring for your pet and, where applicable, having access to your home. You can expect reliability, respect, and clear communication at all times.

“Georgia was great with mine and my sister’s dogs. We were kept up to date throughout the evening and received pictures of what the boys were up. Georgia is super friendly and would absolutely book with her again.”

“Rebecca did a great job looks after our cat. She tends to be slow to warm with new people, but she took to Rebecca right away. Rebecca took wonderful care of our house and had good communication.”

“Tao was lovely and very attentive looking after our frenchie for a week. We knew he was in safe hands and was sent regular updates and lovely photos. Thank you so much x”

“We could not be more grateful for the excellent care Roxana gives to both our precious dog as well as our home while we are away. She truly goes above and beyond to meet every need of our aging rough collie, and the house is always immaculate.”

“Camille and Dean are two of the loveliest people! It's clear that they are real dog lovers, as they showered our pup Ig with so much love and attention from the moment they met her. They were great in their communication in the lead up to the sit, and also on the day, and sent us pictures and videos to let us know how Igi was doing. Igi was so calm and happy when we got home. It was so comforting to know she'd had a lovely day with them and had been looked after so well. We will definitely be asking Camille & Dean to care for Igi in the future!”

“Jocelyn and her partner were amazing. We discussed prior to the sit any questions with them about Lyra. They took care of both our house and our dog Lyra. Lyra was very chilled and happy when we came back. The house was immaculate too! Would use them again for sitting Lyra.”

About: I have taken care of my daughter’s dog over the last two years from when she was young. She stays overnight on occasion. She is only two years old so has lots of energy and is a very happy dog! As most dogs, she has selective hearing! I also check in, walk and play with another dog who lives nearby when both owners will be out for the day. I took early retirement in February 2026, so have plenty of time on my hands to look after and play with your dog. I don’t have any pets of my own, so a one to one experience. I am available for boarding but I could also stay in your home but limited to distance as I don’t own a vehicle. I don’t have my own garden but there is a park directly opposite me. There are communal grounds and dogs must be on leads within these. I live in a ground floor flat so no stairs. My daughter’s dog sleeps on my bed at night though sometimes sleeps in her bed in my bedroom. She also lies on my sofa which I have a throw on. If staying in your home, I would not presume your dog would be allowed to do these things!

Amanda spent today with our dogs and she gave them the best time ever. They really love her company, are very relaxed with her and go straight to her when she arrives, very excitedly knowing that they are in for a fun day. Thank you, Amanda for always taking such wonderful care of the Jacks and our home. Very much look forward to seeing you soon again and huge thanks for all your help.

Louisa is such a responsible human being who puts your furkid before herself. I’m so glad to have her look after my dog Cookie as I’m a very overprotective mum when it comes to my dog. She has done an amazing job in ensuring Cookie is as comfortable as she can whilst we are away. Thank you so much Louisa x

Dogs happy and well on return from travels. Geoffrey was walking early as temperature were hot, keeping them well watered plus spending time in garden during evening once weather cooler. House was left neat and tidy. Shared pictures and had 3 new friends following him around or curled up on settee beside him. Would book again.

Charlie came to stay at our home over , looking after our dog and two cats she was absolutely brilliant. I would highly recommend Charlie for pet sitting needs. This is the first time that we have used to have a sitter and it won’t be the last knowing both the animals and their home is being cared for was fantastic. Thank Charlie we will see you again!

Andrii, provided an excellent service. First & foremost he was very friendly, seemed to be a genuine animal lover and asked the right questions. In addition, he was punctual, considerate and communicated with us frequently throughout the day. We will definitely be booking him again.

Well I did not have to worry, the girls looked after the pup and the house . Got home after a couple of days away and pup was happy and clearly been spoilt, house was tidy and so we were happy. Very happy with the girls and the way they looked after our dog and our home. Would highly recommend them and we will definitely be using again .
Rebooked Maryanne for a house sit with 4 month old puppy. Lunas needs were met, she was taken for 2 beach walks which she loves. Communication continued through the weekend. Nervous to have someone stay at my house, but she was clean tidy and professional. Would highly recommend and book again.

We had an excellent experience with Tiffany and couldn’t recommend her highly enough. Our older dog, Blue, is on multiple medications, and Tiffany followed his routine perfectly with real care and attention. We received regular updates and photos, which gave us complete peace of mind. Blue was clearly happy, relaxed, and very well cared for—and our home was left absolutely spotless. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Tiffany again. Highly recommended.

Luiza was really good looking after Bella. She is liable and trustworthy person. She has a great knowledge about dogs, she gave us some tips about food and other things. Bella was very happy with her today. For sure we will request her services again in the future.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Runnymede walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Runnymede choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
