Highly recommend Lauren! Lauren looked after our 4 dogs for 10 days which is a lot of work with daily walks feeding meds and attention. All dogs were very well cared for and happy and healthy when we arrived home. It was obvious that all the dogs were very happy with Lauren. Lauren picked up all poop cleaned the pool for them and as an added bonus left our house spotlessly clean. Can’t recommend Lauren highly enough would definitely ask her again.

Harriet pet sat for the afternoon. We were new to Rover app, so I was initially anxious about giving it a go with our puppy Luna. However Harriet was great and reassured us that I had nothing to worry about. She made the effort to meet Luna first and get to know us and give us, giving detailed and honest updates, which went a long way. Can't recommend Harriet enough and definitely will book her again. Thanks Harriet 😄

About: I've owned and cared for dogs throughout my life, from childhood to the present day. This has given me extensive hands-on experience with daily care, exercise, feeding routines, basic training reinforcement, and understanding canine behaviour. I am comfortable handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments and understand the importance of providing safe, enjoyable walks tailored to each dog's individual needs. I offer flexible availability throughout the week and will always do my best to accommodate your pet's routine. I understand how important consistency is for pets, so I aim to provide reliable care and clear communication at all times. Your pet's safety, comfort, and wellbeing are my highest priorities. I understand that every pet is unique, with their own personality, routine, and needs, and I take the time to ensure they receive care tailored to them. Whether providing walks, drop-in visits, or pet sitting, I always aim to create a calm, safe, and positive environment where pets feel secure and cared for. I pay close attention to their behaviour and wellbeing and will keep you updated so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I understand the trust involved in caring for your pet and, where applicable, having access to your home. You can expect reliability, respect, and clear communication at all times.

About: I have taken care of my daughter’s dog over the last two years from when she was young. She stays overnight on occasion. She is only two years old so has lots of energy and is a very happy dog! As most dogs, she has selective hearing! I also check in, walk and play with another dog who lives nearby when both owners will be out for the day. I took early retirement in February 2026, so have plenty of time on my hands to look after and play with your dog. I don’t have any pets of my own, so a one to one experience. I am available for boarding but I could also stay in your home but limited to distance as I don’t own a vehicle. I don’t have my own garden but there is a park directly opposite me. There are communal grounds and dogs must be on leads within these. I live in a ground floor flat so no stairs. My daughter’s dog sleeps on my bed at night though sometimes sleeps in her bed in my bedroom. She also lies on my sofa which I have a throw on. If staying in your home, I would not presume your dog would be allowed to do these things!

Camille and Dean are two of the loveliest people! It's clear that they are real dog lovers, as they showered our pup Ig with so much love and attention from the moment they met her. They were great in their communication in the lead up to the sit, and also on the day, and sent us pictures and videos to let us know how Igi was doing. Igi was so calm and happy when we got home. It was so comforting to know she'd had a lovely day with them and had been looked after so well. We will definitely be asking Camille & Dean to care for Igi in the future!

Beyond my upbringing, I have hands on dogsitting experience caring for pets over extended periods, so I know what it takes to step in as a trusted carer. We loved having Rebecca take care of our dogs and cat while we were on holiday. They were well cared for as was our home. Rebecca had to deal with an emergency vet trip and a delay with our trip. Very flexible and made our travel delay less stressful. She was a great communicator and kept us informed. Would use again and recommend her to others.

Lauren and Holly were fantastic dog sitters for our rescue puppy. They really took the time to stick to his usual routine, making sure he was walked at his normal times, fed properly, and given plenty of attention. It was clear they genuinely cared about him and made the effort to keep things consistent so he felt comfortable. It gave us great peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Runnymede on Rover is £37.95 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 16,160 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Runnymede. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Runnymede walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Runnymede choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
