“Rafi sat with the dogs today and was brilliant. The dogs were so happy and relaxed with her and she gave them a fun game too. Thank you, Rafi! Look forward to you coming back soon.”

About: In my teenage and adult life I have taken care of dogs of many kinds. I grew up with rough collies, blue merles, terriers, and an old English sheepdog. As an adult I had a border collie of my own. I have also ‘house/dog-sat’ for families with vizslas, cavapoos and labradors. I am readily available this summer / autumn at just a few days' notice. I am based in Acot, Berks and am willing to travel. I have no other committments at this time. I provide a safe, calm and caring environment, following owners' routines exactly. I ensure pets receive attention, exercise, companionship and responsible care at all times.
“Hayley took great care of our mini dachshund. He had surgery recently and she took extra care to follow instructions to help with his recovery. She took the time to have a phone call before the day to go over everything. She arrived promptly to ensure that she understand how to assist him. I recommend Hayley for dog-sitting.”

About: Hi! I'm Robyn, I'm a 25 year old living in Surrey. I am originally from Windsor and have lived with pets since I was a small child. I have owned hamsters, a cat, rats, and currently, a dog. I also help look after my partner's crested gecko, dog and cats. I love all animals so much and find them an absolute joy to be around and can never get tired of them! I have loved caring for my animals over the years and would love to be around more! I have some experience pet sitting and a lot of experience owning and caring for animals throughout my life. I am insured and pet sitting is now my work. I am caring, kind and responsible, being able to fulfill your pet's needs. It would be a pleasure to look after your pet! I'm currently working part time but would love for this to become more full-time. My availability is flexible and any days I'm not pet sitting or dog walking, I'm at home looking after my dog Bingley or helping my partner look after her pets! I only offer services at the owner's home, but I always aim to create a calm, safe environment for any animals. I'll make sure they are well fed, played with, and have plenty of exercise and walks and companionship. I can also bathe and brush any pets if needed. I'd respect your home as if it were my own, keeping this secure and clean and also following any routines or instructions given. I'm more than happy to provide updates multiple times a day about your pet and any concerns you may have.
“Veronica is an absolute angel! She takes the best take of our baby boy Reggie. She kept sending updates with photographs and videos multiple times a day! Reggie loves her and her little dog Anja! Absolutely amazing!💕💕💕”

“An amazing experience and highly recommended. Stanley had a great day with Lara, she’s lovely and kept me updated throughout the day. Thanks again Lara 🫶🏻 Would definitely use again.”

“Holly looked after our dogs and cats really well whilst we were away and was in regular contact with updates/photos etc throughout. She clearly cares for animals a lot and we already plan to use her again. She left our house immaculate and wound highly recommend her to anybody who needs a pet/house sitter”

About: I’ve always loved being around animals and have owned multiple cats over the years, so I’m very used to caring for pets, understanding their personalities, and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved. I’m also a big dog lover and really enjoy spending time playing with dogs, going for walks, and giving them plenty of attention. Jennifer also has plenty of experience caring for smaller pets, having looked after rabbits and guinea pigs over the years. Together, we’re very comfortable with different pet personalities and routines, from giving them gentle attention and playtime to making sure they feel safe, settled, and properly cared for in their own home. We work from home full time, which means We have a flexible schedule and can give pets the time and care they deserve throughout the day. We are naturally very caring, patient, and attentive, and will always treat your pets as if they were my own - whether that means playtime, cuddles, feeding, walks, or simply keeping them company. “Tetiana was absolutely amazing! She took care of our cat and dog for 11 days, and we couldn’t have asked for better. Communication was excellent throughout — she kept us updated regularly and sent lovely photos, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Both our pets were clearly happy and well looked after. She also left the house spotless and tidy. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be booking with her again!”

About: I’ve had cats my entire life, as well as my family fostering since I was around 12. I’ve had various breeds, ages and temperaments, as well as various health and behaviour needs. I am currently only working part time, so I can be largely flexible! This can be discussed further prior to booking to ensure I am available to meet your needs. I can crate pets if needed, and I work at their pace - I let them approach me! I do not pressure any pets to bond with me.

“We cannot recommend Hannah enough! We went on holiday for 7 days, and Hannah stayed in our home to look after our two dogs, Pepper and Frank. To say they were at ease and comfortable is an understatement. We received daily updates and photos, which gave us such peace of mind. Our babies were happy when we returned, but I noticed them looking for Hannah after she left — especially Pepper, our older dog. If you want to feel completely at ease knowing your fur-babies are well looked after, then you want Hannah. Thank you for everything, Hannah — even leaving our home clean and tidy, with fresh bedding and all the works. Highly, highly recommended!”

“Oskar greets Max like he's an old friend and seems to love seeing him. Max is really good with him and trying to keep him calm as I leave the house. He also picked up and told me about any problems with Oskar”

About: I've looked after dogs most of my life in a variety of countries (United Kingdom, South Africa, Switzerland, Germany, Italy). Walking them daily either in neighborhoods, parks or on hikes. Playing with them: throwing a ball in the garden or park, and tug of war. Giving them lots of affection (when desired), feeding them and giving them medication when needed. I have a fairly flexible schedule, which allows me to accommodate many different requirements of pets and their owners. The more notice provided the more likely your requests will be accepted. I look after pets and homes with respect and care as if they were my own but ultimately in the manner in which you (the pet owner, home owner) desires and stipulates. I am proactive towards potential risks to pet health. I like to keep my environment clean and tidy. I don't smoke. I drink only at social gatherings.
“Alice hit it off with Pebbles and Simba from the start, and I was confident that I'd left them ony great hands; this was confirmed when I got back, and they had clearly been well looked after. I recommend Alice”

“Josh looked after our basset hounds and did a superb job! He kept us informed all along the way and sent the must needed photos to show the dogs were chilled and relaxed. It was a pleasure to have him house sit our dogs and I would not hesitate to recommend him!”

Adele lived in and cared for our elderly dog for 2 and half weeks. She was kind and caring and made a lot of effort in an attempt to get our little dog to eat and to settle her. We were able to go away and have peace of mind that our little dog was being well cared for and loved. Thank you Adele 🥰
It was lovely to meet Thomas, he’s a great guy. Very punctual and Chops ran straight to him and was very comfortable with him. Thanks so much for looking after him while we took the grandchildren to Panto. Wishing him a Merry Christmas and a happy new year. We will definitely book Thomas again.

We couldn’t be happier with Caitlyn’s dog and house sitting! She stayed with our Blue, for two weeks and did an absolutely amazing job. Caitlyn is so easygoing yet professional, and she kept us fully updated with regular pictures and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Most importantly, she truly loved Blue, and it was clear from his happy face in every update that the feeling was mutual! My house was immaculate too which was a bonus thank you ! We’ll 100% be asking Caitlyn to look after Blue again in the future, and we wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and wonderful sitter.

Emma was amazing with my elderly dog Pepper, she listened to everything I said about Pepper and made me feel at ease, I could tell how well she was looking after her from her texts and videos about her little quirks and nuisances! Emma also willingly stayed another night due to our flight being cancelled which was a god send and weight off my mind. Emma is kind caring and reliable and I would definitely book her again.

Natalie was very flexible and accommodating, covering one section of an extended holiday for me. She had great communication, updating me on how the girls were doing, and was able to adjust to changing circumstances within the rest of my dog care network on the fly. The house was well looked-after and dogs were happy and calm. A great experience!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Surrey Heath walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Surrey Heath choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
