About: While I am new to paid pet sitting, I have been surrounded by animals since childhood and have a deep, practical understanding of pet care. Growing up, my father bred European and German Shepherds. By the age of 12, I was already hands-on, helping raise litters of puppies, and later actively assisted with my grandmother’s German Shepherd. I was also fully responsible for walking and training our family dog, Bagira. Through this, I gained valuable experience in handling large breeds, basic training, and safely administering medications, tablets, or injections. Having recently moved to the UK, I unfortunately don't have a dog of my own here yet, though I never miss a chance to play with pets when visiting friends. However, I currently look after Maine Coon cat, which includes demanding daily routines like medical teeth brushing and managing her health care. I will bring this lifelong experience, patience, and medical confidence to make sure your beloved pet is safe, happy, and treated like family! I am currently on holiday, meaning I have full-time flexibility and zero distractions. I can adapt entirely to your pet's exact schedule, offering round-the-clock companionship, frequent walks, and timely medical or feeding routines. In your home, I ensure safety by strictly following all house rules and security protocols. I maintain a stress-free environment, provide loving companionship, manage specialized diets, and keep you updated with regular photos and messages for total peace of mind.
“Raffi was so lovely and professional throughout the booking process and stay. She looked after our cat so well and sent pics throughout - we will definitely be booking again!”

“Veronica is an absolute angel! She takes the best take of our baby boy Reggie. She kept sending updates with photographs and videos multiple times a day! Reggie loves her and her little dog Anja! Absolutely amazing!💕💕💕”

About: I've looked after dogs most of my life in a variety of countries (United Kingdom, South Africa, Switzerland, Germany, Italy). Walking them daily either in neighborhoods, parks or on hikes. Playing with them: throwing a ball in the garden or park, and tug of war. Giving them lots of affection (when desired), feeding them and giving them medication when needed. I have a fairly flexible schedule, which allows me to accommodate many different requirements of pets and their owners. The more notice provided the more likely your requests will be accepted. I look after pets and homes with respect and care as if they were my own but ultimately in the manner in which you (the pet owner, home owner) desires and stipulates. I am proactive towards potential risks to pet health. I like to keep my environment clean and tidy. I don't smoke. I drink only at social gatherings.
“Michael stayed for a week while we went on holiday. He took exceptionally good care of our four legged family members. We would be more than happy to have him return and take care of our dogs again.”

About: I have been a dog owner for 7 years and truly understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. I recently lost my own dog, so I really miss having that companionship and would love to give that same care, attention and love to other dogs, especially on weekends and during school holidays. I live in a calm, cool temperature, comfortable flat in St John’s with access to a large nearby field, perfect for walks and playtime. I am reliable, patient, and will treat every dog as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, happy and well cared for while you’re away. I work full time during the week, so I’m mainly available for pet care on weekends. This means I can give your dog my full attention, whether that’s for walks, playtime or overnight stays. I’m also available during school holidays and half terms, so I can offer more flexible care during those times. When I’m with your pet, they will have plenty of attention, exercise and company. Your dog will be cared for in a calm, safe and comfortable flat that’s kept at a cool, pleasant temperature. I live close to a large field, which is perfect for regular walks and giving dogs space to run and explore. Your baby will also have a place outside my flat where they can have regular toilet breaks, supervised by myself. Having owned and cared for my own dog for 7 years, I understand how important it is to treat every pet with patience, kindness and attention, just as I would my own.

About: Hi! I'm Robyn, I'm a 25 year old living in Surrey. I am originally from Windsor and have lived with pets since I was a small child. I have owned hamsters, a cat, rats, and currently, a dog. I also help look after my partner's crested gecko, dog and cats. I love all animals so much and find them an absolute joy to be around and can never get tired of them! I have loved caring for my animals over the years and would love to be around more! I have some experience pet sitting and a lot of experience owning and caring for animals throughout my life. I am insured and pet sitting is now my work. I am caring, kind and responsible, being able to fulfill your pet's needs. It would be a pleasure to look after your pet! I'm currently working part time but would love for this to become more full-time. My availability is flexible and any days I'm not pet sitting or dog walking, I'm at home looking after my dog Bingley or helping my partner look after her pets! I only offer services at the owner's home, but I always aim to create a calm, safe environment for any animals. I'll make sure they are well fed, played with, and have plenty of exercise and walks and companionship. I can also bathe and brush any pets if needed. I'd respect your home as if it were my own, keeping this secure and clean and also following any routines or instructions given. I'm more than happy to provide updates multiple times a day about your pet and any concerns you may have.
“We have just returned from a week's holiday having left our two dogs in the care of Rocio and couldn’t have asked for a better service. She stayed at our home for a week to care for our dogs, and from the moment she arrived, it was clear we were in excellent hands. Rocio is very knowledgeable and experienced—she understood our dogs’ routines and personalities right away, and handled everything with calm confidence. What really stood out was how easy she was to communicate with. She kept us updated throughout the week, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We came home to two happy dogs and a spotless house. If you're looking for someone reliable, kind, and truly capable, Rocio is the one. We will certainly use her services again.”

“Tetiana was absolutely amazing! She took care of our cat and dog for 11 days, and we couldn’t have asked for better. Communication was excellent throughout — she kept us updated regularly and sent lovely photos, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Both our pets were clearly happy and well looked after. She also left the house spotless and tidy. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Meg was amazing with our 6 month old Dalmatian Hugo. She’s had him overnight at ours without any problems at all. She walked and fed him and gave him lots of cuddles. And i’m sure he absolutely loved having her look after him. Would highly recommend Meg and will be using her again in the future!”

“Adam was a great sitter for our fur family of three! He was very detailed and thorough when taking instructions, ensuring all bases were covered to give the best care to our munchkins. We had really good communication and updates throughout and everyone was very happy to meet and chill with Adam right away. Would definitely rely on him again and would highly recommend!”

About: I’ve been raised around dogs my whole life, so caring for them feels very natural to me. Over the years, I’ve often looked after neighbors’ and friends’ dogs, giving me experience with a wide range of breeds, temperaments, and ages. I understand how important routine and consistency are for dogs, from knowing how often they need walks to recognizing when they may be tired, anxious, or unwell. What sets me apart is my attentiveness and ability to pick up on the small details that make a big difference in pet care. I can adapt to the specific needs of each dog—whether that’s extra playtime for puppies with lots of energy, a gentler pace and special care for seniors, or sticking closely to a feeding and exercise routine. I treat every dog as if they were my own, ensuring they’re not only safe and well cared for, but also happy and comfortable while with me. Pet care is my full-time focus, so I can dedicate all the time and attention your pets need. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets. In a pet owner’s home, I always respect their space and follow the pet’s normal routines as closely as possible, which helps reduce stress and keeps pets comfortable. About: For as long as I can remember we have always had pets in our home. They are family and it’s all I have known - there’s nothing better than coming home after work and being greeted with the excitement and happiness that we receive from our fur babies I currently have plenty of free time on my hands to be able to look after your fur baby and keep them company and meet there needs :) My services would be walks and home visits mainly so I would stick to the homeowners rules as to what there comfortable and happy with
“I can’t thank Meg & Alex enough for looking after my dog on such short notice. They were incredibly kind, welcoming, and made her feel right at home—like she was truly part of their family. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing she was being loved and cared for, not just looked after. I’m so grateful for their flexibility and the genuine warmth they showed. Highly recommend to anyone looking for sitters who will treat your dog like their own!”

“Very easy and friendly to deal with, dogs immediately liked Josh, comfortable leaving him in my home, dogs were happy and cared for when I got home, no bad feedback at all! Plan to use Josh consistently moving forward 😊”

Excellent communication. Our precious pet cat was very well taken care off by Rosalie with regular photos which we hugely appreciated. Our home was very well taken care. I will highly recommend and hope to use the service provided again in the future. Many thanks.

Adele lived in and cared for our elderly dog for 2 and half weeks. She was kind and caring and made a lot of effort in an attempt to get our little dog to eat and to settle her. We were able to go away and have peace of mind that our little dog was being well cared for and loved. Thank you Adele 🥰
It was lovely to meet Thomas, he’s a great guy. Very punctual and Chops ran straight to him and was very comfortable with him. Thanks so much for looking after him while we took the grandchildren to Panto. Wishing him a Merry Christmas and a happy new year. We will definitely book Thomas again.

We couldn’t be happier with Caitlyn’s dog and house sitting! She stayed with our Blue, for two weeks and did an absolutely amazing job. Caitlyn is so easygoing yet professional, and she kept us fully updated with regular pictures and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Most importantly, she truly loved Blue, and it was clear from his happy face in every update that the feeling was mutual! My house was immaculate too which was a bonus thank you ! We’ll 100% be asking Caitlyn to look after Blue again in the future, and we wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and wonderful sitter.

Emma was amazing with my elderly dog Pepper, she listened to everything I said about Pepper and made me feel at ease, I could tell how well she was looking after her from her texts and videos about her little quirks and nuisances! Emma also willingly stayed another night due to our flight being cancelled which was a god send and weight off my mind. Emma is kind caring and reliable and I would definitely book her again.

Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Surrey Heath choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 86% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
