“Dmytro did an amazing job with our 10 month old Border Collie. He was really attentive, had great communication throughout and we could tell that he put a lot of effort into looking after Wicklow. We came home to a dog smiling from ear to ear (literally). We can highly recommend Dmytro & will definitely be using him again.”

About: I've looked after dogs most of my life in a variety of countries (United Kingdom, South Africa, Switzerland, Germany, Italy). Walking them daily either in neighborhoods, parks or on hikes. Playing with them: throwing a ball in the garden or park, and tug of war. Giving them lots of affection (when desired), feeding them and giving them medication when needed. I have a fairly flexible schedule, which allows me to accommodate many different requirements of pets and their owners. The more notice provided the more likely your requests will be accepted. I look after pets and homes with respect and care as if they were my own but ultimately in the manner in which you (the pet owner, home owner) desires and stipulates. I am proactive towards potential risks to pet health. I like to keep my environment clean and tidy. I don't smoke. I drink only at social gatherings.
“Veronica is an amazing sitter! She took the best care of our boy Reggie! He absolutely loved her and her little doggie Anja! She provided pictures and videos throughout the whole time! I couldn’t recommend her enough! An absolute star and will definitely rebook! Thank you Veronica! 💕”

About: Hi! I'm Robyn, I'm a 25 year old living in Surrey. I am originally from Windsor and have lived with pets since I was a small child. I have owned hamsters, a cat, rats, and currently, a dog. I also help look after my partner's crested gecko, dog and cats. I love all animals so much and find them an absolute joy to be around and can never get tired of them! I have loved caring for my animals over the years and would love to be around more! I have some experience pet sitting and a lot of experience owning and caring for animals throughout my life. I am insured and pet sitting is now my work. I am caring, kind and responsible, being able to fulfill your pet's needs. It would be a pleasure to look after your pet! I'm currently working part time but would love for this to become more full-time. My availability is flexible and any days I'm not pet sitting or dog walking, I'm at home looking after my dog Bingley or helping my partner look after her pets! I only offer services at the owner's home, but I always aim to create a calm, safe environment for any animals. I'll make sure they are well fed, played with, and have plenty of exercise and walks and companionship. I can also bathe and brush any pets if needed. I'd respect your home as if it were my own, keeping this secure and clean and also following any routines or instructions given. I'm more than happy to provide updates multiple times a day about your pet and any concerns you may have.
About: I worked for a leading animal charity for 13 years, training and rehabilitating cats and dogs. I also worked with various small animals. I don't currently have pets of my own, but I've had dogs since I was child, and cat's since I was a young adult In my previous role I hand reared kittens and puppies more times than I can remember and fostered cats and dogs of all ages. I’ve pet sit for friends for a while now and loved it, so this felt like the logical next step I currently work full time, Monday to Friday, but I have fairly flexible working hours. Depending on how close I am to work, I can return during the days for toilet breaks if needed. Otherwise, I can usually work shorter days to fit around your pet. Weekends are fairly free Happy to follow instruction. I'll be led by you in terms of your pets needs/routine. No issue with dogs on beds or cats owning the house. If they're happy, I'm happy
“Tom looked after our GSD puppy for a week whilst we went on holiday, it was the first time we’d left her for that length of time and he was wonderful. He gave us regular updates about how he was getting on with messages and photos/videos. I felt totally at ease leaving her with him which made for a more relaxing holiday. Tom went above and beyond to even make sure the house was in good order for our arrival home. Bonnie seemed incredibly content and comfortable with Tom and we wouldn’t hesitate to use him again in the future! 🐾🥰”

About: In my teenage and adult life I have taken care of dogs of many kinds. I grew up with rough collies, blue merles, terriers, and an old English sheepdog. As an adult I had a border collie of my own. I have also ‘house/dog-sat’ for families with vizslas, cavapoos and labradors. I am readily available this summer / autumn at just a few days' notice. I am based in Acot, Berks and am willing to travel. I have no other committments at this time. I provide a safe, calm and caring environment, following owners' routines exactly. I ensure pets receive attention, exercise, companionship and responsible care at all times.

About: I have been a dog owner for 7 years and truly understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. I recently lost my own dog, so I really miss having that companionship and would love to give that same care, attention and love to other dogs, especially on weekends and during school holidays. I live in a calm, cool temperature, comfortable flat in St John’s with access to a large nearby field, perfect for walks and playtime. I am reliable, patient, and will treat every dog as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, happy and well cared for while you’re away. I work full time during the week, so I’m mainly available for pet care on weekends. This means I can give your dog my full attention, whether that’s for walks, playtime or overnight stays. I’m also available during school holidays and half terms, so I can offer more flexible care during those times. When I’m with your pet, they will have plenty of attention, exercise and company. Your dog will be cared for in a calm, safe and comfortable flat that’s kept at a cool, pleasant temperature. I live close to a large field, which is perfect for regular walks and giving dogs space to run and explore. Your baby will also have a place outside my flat where they can have regular toilet breaks, supervised by myself. Having owned and cared for my own dog for 7 years, I understand how important it is to treat every pet with patience, kindness and attention, just as I would my own.
“I can’t thank Megan enough for looking after Dolly. I trust her implicitly. Megan kept us updated throughout the day/night and I felt really comfortable knowing that Dolly was in safe hands. I thoroughly recommend Megan and will always ask her to look after Dolly in the future.”

“Adam was a great sitter for our fur family of three! He was very detailed and thorough when taking instructions, ensuring all bases were covered to give the best care to our munchkins. We had really good communication and updates throughout and everyone was very happy to meet and chill with Adam right away. Would definitely rely on him again and would highly recommend!”

She clearly cares for animals a lot and we already plan to use her again. She left our house immaculate and wound highly recommend her to anybody who needs a pet/house sitter”

“Easily the best dog sitters we have ever had and will definitely be using them again. They stepped in at the last minute when we were let down by someone else and covered almost 3 weeks for us. About: I’ve been raised around dogs my whole life, so caring for them feels very natural to me. Over the years, I’ve often looked after neighbors’ and friends’ dogs, giving me experience with a wide range of breeds, temperaments, and ages. I understand how important routine and consistency are for dogs, from knowing how often they need walks to recognizing when they may be tired, anxious, or unwell. What sets me apart is my attentiveness and ability to pick up on the small details that make a big difference in pet care. I can adapt to the specific needs of each dog—whether that’s extra playtime for puppies with lots of energy, a gentler pace and special care for seniors, or sticking closely to a feeding and exercise routine. I treat every dog as if they were my own, ensuring they’re not only safe and well cared for, but also happy and comfortable while with me. Pet care is my full-time focus, so I can dedicate all the time and attention your pets need. Since this is my only job, I have the flexibility to follow your pet’s specific routine, whether that’s early morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening playtime. My schedule is built entirely around making sure pets feel safe, cared for, and happy, so you can always count on me to be reliable and available when needed. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets. In a pet owner’s home, I always respect their space and follow the pet’s normal routines as closely as possible, which helps reduce stress and keeps pets comfortable. I make sure doors and gates are secure at all times, walks are done safely on-lead unless otherwise instructed, and feeding/medication schedules are followed exactly. If pets are with me in my home, I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where they’ll have plenty of attention, exercise, and rest. I keep a close eye on their behavior and wellbeing, and I’m quick to notice if something seems off. Whether at my home or the owner’s, I treat every pet as if they were my own ensuring they’re cared for with patience, kindness, and consistency.

Rosalie has been an amazing pet and house sitter. Very friendly, intelligent, clear in communication. She has very clearly cared for our dog, cat and shrimps with a lot of love and attention. She has done loads we talked about we do with our cat and dog, but not expecting her to do. She is a very pleasant soul, and I’m very grateful for finding her.

Thomas was amazing. Lola warmed to Thomas straight away. I felt totally at ease leaving Lola in his hands after meeting him and this was our first time leaving Lola with someone over night! Thomas also sent me pictures of Lola and let me know she was having a great time. Would highly recommend Thomas and definitely will look to see if Thomas if free if we need dog sitting again.

Dmytro did an amazing job with our 10 month old Border Collie. He was really attentive, had great communication throughout and we could tell that he put a lot of effort into looking after Wicklow. We came home to a dog smiling from ear to ear (literally). We can highly recommend Dmytro & will definitely be using him again.

Adele lived in and cared for our elderly dog for 2 and half weeks. She was kind and caring and made a lot of effort in an attempt to get our little dog to eat and to settle her. We were able to go away and have peace of mind that our little dog was being well cared for and loved. Thank you Adele 🥰

Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

- 88% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
