“Rebecca did a great job taking care of Hunter this past weekend. She’s very communicative. Set lots of photos and videos and gave Hunter all the love.. Highly recommended. I will book with Rebecca again in the future. Thank you!”

“Amanda was a wonderful housesitter! She looked after our dog for a few days, giving him plenty of walks and enjoyment. She looked after our house and communicated clearly and in a very timely way. “Holly did an outstanding job looking after the House and my Dog. She showed great care and maturity with all things, sending pictures and keeping me up to date the whole time. She left the house clean and tidy and I would thoroughly and whole heartedly recommend her. So thank you Holly for a job well done.”

“Joanne was lovely from start to finish of our booking. As soon as I met Joanne I felt totally at ease about leaving George and Fleur with her and also in our home. Regular updates and pictures recieved, even a lovely card and treats left at the end of the stay, which was so kind. We would have no hesitation in having Joanne stay with George and Fleur again.”

“So lovely, made sure to communicate with us with all news regarding Pluto and Pluto was very happy to have someone with him all day! Will definitely book Sameer again. Lovely guy, and made me feel at ease to be at work whilst the dog was at home!”

“Huge thank you to Katie. This was the first time i have tried to trust someone with my baby Thor. Katie is kind and has a lovely way about her and is clearly passionate and caring. Was on time, kept me updated throughout the day with pics and my dog was happy when I got home. He must have enjoyed himself , slept and enjoyed his time with Katie. It’s such a big thing firstly to trust someone with your fur baby but also to have someone in your house. I would highly recommend Katie and will definitely book again. Thank you!”

“We highly recommend Shaquille & Jennifer, Lexy had a great time with them and was very well looked after while we were away. They kept us updated with messages and photos throughout her stay. It looked like she enjoyed some lovely walks, plenty of attention, and even some fun time in the garden. We’d happily leave Lexy with Shaquille & Jennifer again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others 🐶🐾”
“So lovely to meet Andy. Herc was very relaxed with him and it gave us great peace of mind to have Andy sit with him while fireworks were on. Will see you again soon hopefully!”

“Lauren stayed the night at my house to look after our kitten, and was absolutely fantastic. She went above and beyond in every category, even looking after her and cleaning up her upset tummy, far more than we ever expected. House was left in the same state as we left it and she even fed my fish, will definitely have Lauren back when we next go away. Thank you so much!”

“Catrin was fantastic with our dog Max and we felt very reassured to leave him with her for the night. Max absolutely loved her. She was very responsive, caring and patient. Would definitely book again!”

“Robyn was absolutely fantastic with our dog Mabel. Mabel was happy, and clearly very well cared for when we returned from our holiday. We appreciated the thoughtful updates throughout the stay. Also Robyn left the house spotless — which was such a lovely touch to come home to. Thank you!”

About: For the entirity of my life I have known I want to have a job that involves working with animals. I have truly experienced so much when it comes to them, and I feel very fortunate to have had many of these experiences. On a trip to Venice when I was younger I helped the police catch a dog that was on the loose, to eventually return it to the owner. When visiting family in the Cayman Islands I helped out with rescuing and rehoming dogs who had been badly treated by their owners. During my Duke of Edinburgh I volunteered at the Tarbay Kennels and Cattery for 6 months which I then continued doing weekly for much longer because I loved being around the dogs. My love didn't stop here though, after I finished my GCSE's I decided to do a course in Animal Management (level 3 extended diploma) at Berkshire College of Agriculture which I completed with a DMM (Distinction Merit Merit). During this time I also went to South Africa to Volunteer with conservation work in the Kruger National park. I was also doing occasional dogsitting for a lovely family near Warfield while I was at college, which also turned into overnight housesitting sometimes. After returning from university I have decided that I would love to go back to working with animals and have been walking an elderly lab twice a week, which I absolutely love doing and look forward to every week! Finally I have 3 years of experience working in an exotic fish shop, so if you have a fish tank I can also take care of it while you are on holiday! I'm currently doing a lot of part time work which is mainly over the weekends so I have plenty of free time during the week! On weekends I am doing both bar work and serving tea and coffees at a pop up stand both at Reading Hockey Club. I like to fill up my week with plenty of different dog walks that keep me out and about so I will make time for you! For Dog Walking: I am very comfortable with walking dogs of all sorts and will keep them on the lead at all times unless you specify that they are fine to go off the lead. As a person who cares deeply about the environment, I would like to be within cycling range of your house and will not transport dogs anywhere in a vehicle. Because of this its ideal if you have a park or a green area within walking distance of your house for your dog/s to have the optimum experience. I prefer to use your equipment for dog walks as the dogs are more familiar with it and so will be more comfortable (this includes lead, harness (if required) and treats, and preferably poo bags too). Personally I hate mixing dogs with other dogs from different families so I will only walk multiple dogs if you have multiple dogs! For Dog Sitting: I have done a fair bit of dogsitting in the past but you will need to let me know different things about the dog/s, e.g. how often they need the toilet during the night or what time you like them to eat. I am very comfortable with giving your dog/s plenty of attention and enriching them with different activities! Final Note: I am not comfortable with caring for extremely brachycephalic dogs, e.g. Bulldogs & Pugs, as I do not agree with the ethics in breeding them.
“Tatiana was great. Came to meet our puppy few days before and sat with him all day in our home. He had an upset stomach the day after (nothing Tatiana has done its a side effect from vaccination) and she was so worried was texting us asking how he was days after. She cares for dogs and thats all that matters. Will book again ☺️”

“Kaia was wonderful! She sent consistent updates and photos throughout, which gave us complete peace of mind. She asked all the right questions upfront and left the house in perfect order. It was clear she genuinely enjoyed Olivia’s company — and the feeling was mutual. Highly recommend!”

“Highly recommended Lia he treated our dogs with love and our home was super clean on return. Kept in constant contact and gave us much needed updates from our fur babies. Will definitely be rebooking again! Thank you Liam - for anyone looking for A* dog sitting service we couldn’t highly recommend”

“Fantastic service by Renata … very accommodating to our needs and very clear communication beforehand. Rosie our Cockapoo had a lovely time with walkies and snuggles on the sofa. Renata was very conscientious and very caring. We couldn’t recommend her more highly!! Very happy indeed!! Thanks Renata :-)”

“Jamie was absolutely brilliant! We left Toby and our house in his care for six nights and I think the dog was disappointed when we arrived home!! We were updated daily with pictures and details from their numerous walks and adventures, and Jamie even took the time to sort an ant problem that cropped up while we were away! He did a pre stay visit to meet Toby and get to know the house, and left it immaculately clean after his stay. There was no doubt Toby had a wonderful time in his care and we came home to a very relaxed dog! He was super charming and I wouldn’t hesitate to book him again. Thank you Jamie!”

Extremely professional and attentive with my little dog and my home. Sameer stayed with my little dog for 7 days, and I felt completely at ease; I will definitely book him again. My little guy loved Sameer's company. Sameer took excellent care of my elderly 16-year-old dog.

Could not recommend Jessica more. She's been so fantastic looking after our 6-month-old puppy Pickle and he absolutely loves her. She looked after him for 24 hours and stayed overnight and sent lots of pictures & videos of him so we knew he was very happy. Took great care of the house too. She even made banana bread for us as we came back after getting married! Thank you so much again Jessica.

Elisha was fantastic! She was flexible, professional, and took excellent care of Bella while we were away. She kept us updated every day with messages and photos, which gave us real peace of mind. We came home to a happy Bella and a spotless house. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Elisha again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring house sitter.

I can highly recommend Robert & Lizzie, we had the best experience with them. It was a fairly last minute house sitting request and we even managed to meet up with them a few days prior to the service to introduce them to our dog Lotte. From the first moments of meeting Robert and Lizzie we knew Lotte would be in safe hands, and they liked each other straight away. Their calm nature made us feel instantly ease. Everything went great and we received an update during the day with cute photos. Robert and Lizzie were friendly, punctual and reliable, I would definitely use them again!

Simon & Caitlin looked after our 2 small dogs for a long weekend while we were attending a family event. This was the first time we had ever left the dogs behind so we were a bit anxious - until we met Simon & Caitlin. One of our dogs is very nervous but she took to them immediately as they are very relaxed and obviously used to dogs. They listened carefully to our care instructions which reassured me. The house was clean & tidy when they left and we received daily updates. Would recommend them for pet sitting and would definitely use them again.

Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Maidenhead choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
