Sabina is amazing!! We contacted Sabina to look after our dachund and elderly chihuahua at our home for a few days while we went away to an event. Sabina collected keys from our lockbox and followed our boys routine to precision giving us updates and pictures of 2 happy boys with walks too. Our home is spotless with 2 very fluffy boys. We 100% recommend Sabina.

Saskia looked after our 2 Ragdolls for 3 days and 4 nights and did such a fantastic job! I was impressed from the offset when she arranged to meet them first, asked all the right questions and was clearly a cat lover. She looked after my flat as if it were her own and we not only came back to 2 very happy cats, but the flat was spotless too. She sent daily updates and was always contactable. Couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter, felt very comfortable to leave Ralph & Ru in her hands. Will definitely be booking again!

About: Hey, I’m a huge dog lover and the proud owner of a friendly 8-month-old puppy, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. I love spending time outdoors and enjoy long walks, whatever the weather. I’m available most evenings, weekends, and for longer stays, so I’m flexible to suit your needs. Whether your dog enjoys energetic adventures, gentle strolls, or plenty of cuddles and company, I’ll make sure they’re happy, safe, and treated like one of my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend! I work full-time and typically finish work at 2:30pm, which means I'm available most afternoons and evenings to care for your pets. I'm also available on weekends and can offer flexible care to suit your pet's needs. Whether it's walks, drop-in visits, daycare, or overnight stays, I'll make sure your pet receives plenty of attention, exercise, and care. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a secure, fully fenced garden with plenty of grass space for supervised play and exercise. I also have a friendly 8-month-old Stafford shire Bull Terrier who is crate trained and enjoys the company of other dogs. I can accommodate crate-trained pets if needed and will always ensure a safe, clean, and loving environment where your pet feels right at home.

Our "usual" sitter was unable you come on this date, and so after an initial "meet and greet" we booked Lana. Lana was calm and friendly, and the dogs took to her, which was great. Lana kept me up to speed with walks, feeding etc, and we arrived home to happy dogs. Recommended.

About: Hi I’m Megan, I’m 27 and I’m a reliable and caring animal lover offering pet sitting in your own home, so your pets can stay comfortable in familiar surroundings while you’re away. I have four cats of my own and plenty of hands on experience caring for both cats and dogs. I regularly look after friends’ and family members’ pets, giving me experience with a wide range of personalities, breeds and ages, from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need a slower pace and extra care. I work Monday to Friday in a role that allows me to split my time between working from home and being in the office. This means I can offer flexibility depending on your pet’s needs and provide plenty of companionship, particularly on the days I’m working from home. I’m happy to provide feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, companionship, administering routine medication if required, litter tray cleaning and regular updates with photos for your peace of mind. I understand that every pet has their own routine, and I’ll always do my best to stick to it so they feel safe, happy and well cared for. Whether you’re away for a day, a weekend or longer, I’ll treat your pets with the same love and attention I give my own. I work Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, with a mix of office and home working. This means I’m available before and after work every day, all weekend, and I also have flexibility during the week when I’m working from home. I can provide morning and evening visits, overnight stays (where agreed), weekend care, and some daytime visits depending on my work schedule. I’ll always make sure your pet receives plenty of care, attention, exercise, and companionship. I have four cats of my own, so looking after animals is a big part of my everyday life. I’ve also looked after dogs and cats for family and friends, so I’m used to different routines and personalities. When I’m caring for someone’s pet, I stick to their usual routine as much as possible, whether that’s feeding, walks, playtime, or just keeping them company. I know every pet is different, so I’m happy to follow any instructions to make sure they feel comfortable and settled. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos, so you know they’re happy and being well looked after.

About: I have grown up frequently helping a family member out with her animal rescue, looking after dogs of all different shapes and sizes, some with additional needs. I have experience walking strong and difficult dogs, and will be confident attending to your dog's every need! I have just graduated from uni and currently have a part time job, so am looking to fill lots of my free time looking after some pets! I currently don't have any pets of my own but I have a lot of love to give to whichever furry friends I meet. I can easily follow any instructions you leave for the care of your pet in your home, and also use my initiative in any unprecedented situations that may arise. I will make sure that your pet is comfortable and your house remains exactly as you left it :)

Rachael did a week of overnight cat sitter whilst we were away on holiday. We usually have family watch our cats but no one was free so we were obviously nervous to try someone new. However Rachael exceeded our expectations. The cats seemed really happy when we got home which is also a good sign that they’ve been well taken care of, and the house even looked more sparkling clean than we left it. She made sure to give us lots of updates and daily photos. Would recommend Rachael for sure!

About: I've had animals in my life since I was little. I took pride in caring for my pets. I enjoyed caring for them so much I volunteered with a local animal shelter throughout my school years. While I do not have a dog of my own currently, I still spent a lot of time with them through my dog nieces and nephews back home. I was a pet sitter there as well, and have added it back into my life at uni. I strive to keep up clients' usual routines to reduce confusion and stress on them. If allowed, I can also take your dog(s) to either dog parks or dog-friendly trails for a fun experience! (Please note: I do not have a car while I'm at uni so any bookings must be accessible via public transit) I am currently in Reading for uni, so outside of term time is completely flexible. During term time I have a small number of classes, so if necessary your pet(s) might have to be alone for a few hours. If they require additional care, I can opt-in to lectures online and stay with them. I typically go to my client's house. I prefer this since it tends to reduce stress put on the pet by the change in their routine. I'm happy to follow any instructions left by you and am adept at solving problems without needless questioning, so you can focus on wherever you are. I'll keep you up to date on their status and let you know if I find any behavior that's concerning. I'm a clean person who will respect your house rules and strive to leave things better than I found them.

Chenyan was excellent house sitting Oskar!! The first time we had used a house sitter, but she made us feel really confident that she would (and did!) take great care of him. Alex was perfect. Really friendly and accommodating with planning, very easy to talk to. She's obviously a real animal lover, Omelette is a bit of an awkward dog at the best of times but made fast friends with him and understood and dealt excellently with his reactivity issues. We got regular photos and updates and could see he was having a great time. On top of that Alex left the house completely spotless and put the wash on before she left which made a much softer landing for us coming back from holiday. I couldn't recommend Alex enough.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Wokingham on Rover is £42.55 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 13,069 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Wokingham. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Wokingham walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wokingham choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
