Pet care experience
Sydney, Volunteer dog walker and cat owner.
For the last couple of months I have been doing volunteering at one of the RSPCA centers taking the dogs on afternoon walks. This includes taking them outside on walks around other dogs as well as taking them in the off lead areas to play. This means that I have also done some training with them in terms of safety and how to properly understand the dogs body language. This is something I really enjoy and wanted to do more as it is really rewarding and enjoyable.

I will be able to feed and take your dog out on walks as well as playing with them at home and ensuring that your pets are well fed and properly taken care of. I will also get to know them in their time which is something important to me so that they don't feel stressed about being around a stranger and can have an enjoyable experience while being looked after. I will also be able to give them medication if needed based on instructions you give to me.

Sydney is great with our two cats, very attentive and good at keeping us updated. She let us know immediately when one of them had got a small scratch in a fight (they’re outdoor cats) and was able to manage it very well. Always a pleasure to know she’s looking after them, thank you!
Sydney looked after our two cats wonderfully well again. She’s very good at keeping us updated on them. This time one of them had got into a little bit of a fight and she noticed straight away and got in touch. A quick cleanup at the vets and he was fine the next day. Well done for being on top of it!

Sydney looked after our two cats for a week, visiting to feed and keep them company twice a day. She was very good at keeping us updated with details of how they were and photos of them eating & enjoying themselves in the garden. She immediately spotted when one of them picked up a tiny scratch, but that resolved itself quickly. It was great to know they were being so reliably cared for and we came home to two happy cats. We’re certainly hoping to have Sydney look after them again in future!
Sydney has loved animals her whole life and as a family we have had pets that she helped look after she has also been volunteering at the RSPCA walking dogs for the last 6ish months so has a wealth of experience when it comes to looking after pets.

Schedule
I am going to be starting university in September but until then I am always free to be a sitter or even do drop ins whatever day at whatever time. I usually do volunteering at an RSPCA centre one day a week which will be scheduled around pet sitting / pet care.
