Julie is a lovely woman who really cares about dogs. Both our boys were happy and bouncy when we came back and we could tell they were well looked after. She's very easy to deal with and the dogs seemed to love her.

About: I've had cats ever since I was born - I currently have one sitting on my legs as I type this. I know how to work with cats I love them all - especially the mean ones. I have two rescues myself who I saved off the streets of Birmingham. They were totally feral but are now happy and thriving. I've helped with dogs all my life, my partner has a very old Rat Terrier (Dewey) who I look after in his old years, give him his medication, bathe him, walk him etc. I love to walk and can walk for miles everyday so I'm looking for dogs I can take on my walks with me to give them some enrichment (and me some company). I work 9 - 5 from home, so I can take your dog on a walk from 6 pm onwards every weekday and any time on the weekends. I can also look after your pets inside your home as long as I get there before 9 am so I can work from your place as well. I've cared for pets at their owner's home many times. As long as you let me know what needs to be done, it will be done!

About: I’ve owned dogs my entire life including grey hounds, dalmatians and labradors. I currently have a rescue collie x shepherd and a staff cross who are my world! I have one cat (indoor) who was rescued as a kitten. I regularly help friends with the care of their dogs these include rescues, poodle crosses and springer spaniels. I love animals and am happiest in their company. I love to walk for miles and miles with them or sit and have a cuddle. Although I don’t have any formal qualifications I am interested in animal behaviour and observant when meeting others on dog walks to ensure the dogs are comfortable. I am thorough in following all pet care instructions provided to ensure your animals are safe and happy in my care. Please reach out if you would like to chat! I currently work full time over 4 days and most of my week is spent working from home. I have a son who is starting primary school and so have plenty of time for decent walks during the day! I have a secure back garden with 6 ft fences the entire way round. There is ample space in my home and pets are always welcome on the sofas. To respect my cats space dogs are not allowed upstairs and there is a gate in place to prevent this. When visiting pets in their own homes I follow owners instructions and wishes rigidly. Ensuring the the pet is always settled and happy before I leave

About: Hi, I’m Liv! Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I’m lucky enough to work with them every day as a Patient Care Assistant at a specialist veterinary referral hospital. I also hold a Level 3 Diploma in Animal Management, giving me a strong foundation in animal behaviour, welfare and husbandry. Through my role, I’ve gained experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, breeds and temperaments, including those recovering from surgery, requiring medication or needing a little extra patience and care. I’m also RECOVER CPR trained, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in capable hands should an emergency ever arise. At home, I have my cat, Romeo, and I also own a horse, so I understand just how much our pets mean to us. I know how important it is to find someone you can trust, and I promise to care for your pets as if they were my own. Whether your pet needs a fun walk, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime or simply some company while you’re away, I’ll tailor my care to their individual routine and personality. I’ll always keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages, so you can relax knowing they’re happy, safe and well cared for. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I work full-time as a Patient Care Assistant at a veterinary referral hospital on a rolling rota, so I always know my schedule well in advance. My shifts are a mixture of 7am–5pm, 8am–6pm and 11am–9pm, including one weekend in every four. This means my availability changes each week, but I’m happy to arrange regular or one-off bookings with advance notice wherever possible. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. As a Patient Care Assistant, I’m experienced in caring for dogs and cats of all ages, including those with medical conditions or special requirements. I will always follow your pet’s normal routine, provide fresh food and water, administer medication if required, and ensure they have plenty of love and attention. I treat every home with respect, keep it clean and secure, and will happily send regular photo and video updates so you know your pet is happy while you’re away. I don’t offer boarding in my own home, so all care takes place in your home or out on walks.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for many years via Rover or Family and Friends, all types of dogs. Experience with all types of dogs and needs. A dog being comfortable, excited and fulfilled after my care is very important so I aim to have only 1 or 2 dogs at a time unless they are familiar with each other I am based from home full time. I only show available if i am able to be around 24/7, to care for your 4 legged companion 😁 i am currently taking a course to offer specific Dog training. I have a secure and fenced garden, stair gates if required and plenty of space for the dog to rest and/or sleep. Lots of toys too. I also only accept 1 or 2 dogs at time so I can provide commited care.

I booked Amy to look after our 3 year old Cockapoo in our home for the day and I’m so pleased I found her! Buzz was immediately relaxed with her and I had no concerns about leaving them together. He seemed to have a great time and they went on a lovely long walk! Amy’s communication both pre and during the booking was excellent and she was really flexible with timings when I was late back. Would definitely recommend and we will be using Amy again 😊

About: I’ve grown up with dog and just love the joy they bring into lives. I believe as humans we don’t deserve dogs so any extra care I can provide for them to make their lives calmer and stress free, I will! I work in the film industry where the demand changes - at the moment it’s very quiet so looking for something to give me a purpose and spark joy! In my own home I have a fenced garden for my Labrador. In your home, I will make sure the dogs are fed and watered and at ease before I am to leave them for whatever reason. Their needs come first!

About: I’ve grown up around and taken care of all kinds of animals since I was very young. I’ve taken care of dogs of all kinds and sizes, as well as cats. I’ve never known a life without taking care of pets. Recently I moved from my family house for my studies so my home feels very soulless without animals wandering around. Missing my own, I would love to take care of your loved ones and care for them as my own. I know how walks, play time and cuddles are important for dogs (and cats) so I am committed to ensuring they feel loved, safe, and stimulated I am in my last year of uni so I have plenty of time to take care and play with your dogs! My availability varies during the week but I am available all day in the weekends! I have a small courtyard. There are two doors to go through to get to the street so no worries if your doggie is a runner. Doors are closed at all time and I would never let out dog unsupervised. safety first!

About: I have had cats all my life, caring for them through illness and old age. Izzy is coming up to 19 years old and still going strong! I have walked and fed several of my neighbours dogs when they’ve been away on holiday. Mr. Pickles was a grumpy old pug but I loved him to death. Yoshi, a Cavapoo, was challenging as he used to yap but I grew very fond of him. Recently, due to my neighbours new pregnancy, I have been frequently caring for Cassy, a hyperactive spaniel. Like me, she has boundless energy and an insatiable appetite to play. I don’t have any formal training but have been around animals all my life and love getting to know their unique personalities and special ways of interacting! I’m currently a full-time student at the NFTS in Beaconsfield. My schedule is often different week by week but I am always completely free Friday - Sunday. Our sessions on Monday - Thursday usually wrap up at 16:30 so I am available for evening walks. I feed my cats twice a day on a healthy mixed diet and give them constant attention and love. I am an extremely active person so happy to take overly energetic dogs on long walks or runs if that is something they enjoy. I am very affectionate and attentive to a dog’s needs, keen to understand their personalities so as not to breach boundaries.

A huge thank you to Hannah and her partner for taking such wonderful care of Raya while we were away. Raya was clearly very well looked after—she was calm, happy, and completely relaxed when we returned, which says it all. Our house was also left in perfect condition. We couldn't have asked for more and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for caring and reliable house sitters. 😀

Isabella was brilliant with our 2 dogs aged 4 and 1. One is a young and recently rescued dog who is not used to the outside world and so not the easiest to look after but this didn’t phase Isabella. She was able to entertain them with play, lick mats, snuffle mats and walks / garden time. Both dogs were happy, relaxed and calm for the whole weekend. Bella was also punctual and I liked the fact that she messaged me a few times before so I was confident she had fully absorbed the dog sitting plan. She was happy to follow the detailed instructions I left about their routine and management, feeding, walking etc. She has a calm yet confident demeanour with the dogs and is also a very pleasant person. I would not hesitate to book her again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Wycombe on Rover is £46 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 14,894 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Wycombe. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Wycombe walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wycombe choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
