Leia’s first visit with Liz went well. Lovely sniffy garden & relaxed environment. Leia is sensitive & Liz let her relax in the way that worked for Leia, reassuring her with some gentle attention as and when. Photos & videos were very welcome. Thank you.

After being let down by another sitter we contacted Emma and she was able to help on very short notice, even fitting in a meet and greet with our dogs. My youngest dog is historically very prickly with strangers in the home but he took to Emma straight away and they all had a peaceful time together with lots of contact and pictures to ease my mind while I was out. Would highly recommend and will be inviting Emma round again!

It was a pleasure having Joella to house sit for our dogs, polite, professional and very patient with our two nervous rescue boys. Wouldn't hesitate to use again and she certainly won over the boys by the time we returned! x

About: I’ve always been involved with dogs. Growing up in Ireland we had many dogs on farms and regularly houses. I volunteered at my neighbours dog groomers, walking her clients dogs for 7 years. I currently have outdoor cats and no dog so I’m looking to give my years of experience and love of dogs with my clients pets. As well as walking and sitting and boarding your dogs I can do anything you request of me like work on training, certain games they love, finding ways to bring shy dogs out of their shells. Anything you’d like me to work on I will :) I work primarily remotely 9-5:30 (with those hours changing soon to 8-4:30) Some days I travel to my office but am mostly home based. I also own a car and live in an area with a vast amount of Green walking trails for animals I have a fenced yard to keep your little buddy safe. I have a big home they will love to explore. I have cats but they are outdoor cats who love being outdoors. They see many dogs when out and about and I’m trying to get them used to dogs but will be sure to have them out doors when your fur babies are in my home. My home is warm with under floor heating and I will be sure to provide toys and treats along with full companionship with them while they are with me. I can’t wait to have fun with and get to know your best buddies!

This is the first time I have left my dogs and I was worried about Bailey because he doesn’t get On with everyone, he is a rescue and was beaten badly he’s 11 now. I didn’t need to worry at all He took to Natalie and she cared for my three dogs very well. Natalie is a very caring person and I would have no hesitation in leaving my three with her again.

About: What sets me apart as a pet sitter is my extensive experience and unique skills. I had a rescue dog for 10 years who had challenging needs, including separation anxiety, requiring lots of attention and specialized care. This experience has given me a deep understanding of how to treat and look after dogs, making me confident and comfortable around pets of all temperaments. Additionally, as a doctor, I bring excellent communication skills, responsibility, and reliability to my pet-sitting services. I ensure that pet owners are kept up to date as required, providing peace of mind that their beloved pets are in capable and caring hands. My background equips me with the ability to handle various situations calmly and effectively, ensuring the best care for your pet. Having recently returned from traveling, I'm currently not diving back into full-time work, which means I'm available most days of the week. This flexibility allows me to seamlessly integrate pet care into my daily routine. With ample free time, I can dedicate my attention to ensuring your pet receives the best care possible. Whether it's daily walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I'm here to meet their needs and provide a loving, attentive environment. When caring for pets, my focus is on safety, trust, and creating a nurturing environment, whether at my home or the pet owner's. This involves pet-proofing the space, building trust through positive interactions, maintaining regular routines, and keeping open communication with owners through updates and photos. By prioritizing these aspects, I ensure that pets receive the best possible care and feel comfortable and secure during their stay.

About: Lifelong dog lover but sadly can’t be an owner as travel overseas too often. I am very experienced handling dogs as I used to be a volunteer dog walker for Hearing Dogs for the deaf plus another charity called the Cinnamon Trust. I have also been walking my neighbours black Labrador once a week for the past six years (he is featured in my profile picture). I am a retired gentleman so I am generally available all the time. I can easily travel and am happy to take dogs in my vehicle. I walk for at least an hour every day and know many varied walking routes in the Aylesbury Vale area. I am friendly, approachable and easy to communicate with. Through membership of another website I walk two labradors separately over three separate walks each week. With regards to the two Labradors I occasionally have them for overnight stays at my home. I have been doing this since February 2022 and have built up deep trusted relationships with both dogs. I have been fully retired since 2013 and am generally available for dog walks most days between 10am and 5pm. I do travel both in the UK and overseas for a total of 3 months a year spread throughout the year. I have a large very secure garden and keep no pets of my own at my property which is very private and detached. I live adjacent to open countryside and have a car which I am happy to take dogs in.

About: Animals have always been my heart, and I’ve been looking after them since I was young- I had dogs, and a little rabbit. My partner Miguel and I share our home with our lovely pup Simba, and we can’t wait to spoil your pets with the same love and cuddles 💟 My partner and I both come from a medical background, so we understand the importance of care, reliability, and attention to detail. We offer dog walking, day care, and boarding, and we arrange our schedule as availability allows. We kindly ask for at least one week’s notice so we can plan and give your pets the best care possible 🐾. At our home, pets are treated like part of the family! We make sure they follow their usual feeding times, get regular walks, and have a safe, comfortable space to rest. For boarding and day care, we keep their routine as close to home as possible to minimise stress.

About: I love all dogs and have owned many breeds. I am comfortable playing with my Dad’s Pomeranian or my sisters Staffordshire bull terrier. I grew up with jack russells and setters. I love making sure they have a good run around and also get to play indoors and are kept engaged. I love cuddles on the sofa and making sure they got lots of attention. I’m fit and active and can make sure they have a good walk. I’m a dog lover currently inbetween jobs (and usually work from home or in a hybrid capacity) so am fully available at home and living next to a park. I am in a ground floor flat so White Hill park is technically my garden. I’ve had dogs my whole life and currently live vicariously through helping friends and family with theirs. I miss the cuddles, playing and company of dogs so being able to help people with theirs perfectly aligns with my current schedule. I don’t drive but the park is right outside. Although I have access to a car if need be. I live in a ground floor flat with the security door just outside my front door so there are no safety/escape issues. I can let them out for the toilet whenever they need it. I have throws on my sofa so dogs are welcome on my furniture. I’ve always considered dogs part of the family so I don’t mind them on the sofa. My flat is quite big so there is plenty of room for their beds, crates and toys - whatever the owners preference.

About: I have had several dogs during my lifetime. Most recently I have taken to looking after neighbours, family and friends dogs for a day, weekend or a week at a time. My availabilty will depend on my work rota - I will be working 2 days per week from beginning of April 2025. I have taken early retirement but will be returning to work on a part time basis at the beginning of April. I will have 5 days per week where I may be available for dog sitting, dog walking. I have a fully fenced and gated large back garden at our property. Lots of good, long walks within a short distance of where I live which will normally involve a short drive.

I would highly recommend Joella for anyone looking for a sitter. This was all new to me going on Rover and Joella has made the whole process of finding someone to look after my Westie Ronnie so easy. Firstly, she responded within minutes of sending my first message and is a very good communicator. We had a met and greet and we were both happy and Ronnie was happy too! She was so lovely and friendly and very obviously is an animal lover and immediately sat on the floor and was very calm with Ronnie. Joella was very punctual for our meeting and also when she came to sit with Ronnie. She sent me photos to keep me updated which was so lovely of her and she kept Ronnie amused in the garden with snuffle mats with treats in. I feel so lucky to have found Joella.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 3,086 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Aylesbury Vale. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Aylesbury Vale walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Aylesbury Vale choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 83% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
