“Natali is a lovely gentle person who loves dogs and is very respectful and considerate when staying in the house to care for them. She responds quickly and clearly to messages and was very happy to accommodate my preference for regular photos and updates. Both dogs were well cared for in terms of food, water, on-lead walks, and playing with toys and the ball in the garden. I felt very secure in the knowledge that Natali would anticipate and cater for their needs, and would deal with any problems in a calm and thoughtful manner. On my return the house was as neat and tidy as I had left it, and it was clear that the house rules re no dogs upstairs had been respected. I will most definitely be booking Natali again!”

“We had Valentina again but this time for an overnight stay. Elf was really well cared for and Valentina left my place perfectly. She was very punctual and a great communicator. Thanks so much!”

“Elaine was amazing with Bobby! She stayed with him for a day, and took him on walks. She was calm and positive, and Bobby felt at ease. I'd also like to comment on how accommodating Elaine was - coming earlier and leaving later than planned to meet our travel requirements. All in all, it was a great experience and we'd love to have her over again!”

“Francesca was so helpful on a recent trip that went awry because of conflict in the Middle East. Before travelling she took the time to visit and familiarise herself with local walks and to get to know our dogs needs. When our travel plans were disrupted she was incredibly flexible and provided looked after our two dogs for a few impromptu day trips. She is caring and conscientious and fun. We would not hesitate to recommend her.”

“Alice is always on time and sends us a picture of our pup. We’re very comfortable with her sitting for us if we’re away or if we just need her to pop in for a dog walk. Would recommend!”

“Liis and I first met virtually over a zoom call and then met in person to chat about Tilly and have a walk in the woods. Tilly and Liis bonded immediately and I knew that I could leave for my holiday with Tilly in safe and happy hands. During our holiday, Liis kept in touch with WhatsApp chats, photos and videos. It meant a completely relaxing holiday while Tilly was enjoying her ‘holiday’ too. Liis kept the house in immaculate order, dealt cheerfully with post and deliveries and anything else that cropped up. Liis is lovely - charming, warm and kind and highly professional. I have no hesitation in recommending her to any future Rover clients.”

“Yevhenii was excellent! From the moment he walked in the door I could tell he knew dogs and gain their trust. He house sat for us and took our dog on long walks every day. I would absolutely book him again.”

“Hollie took great care of our big older dog for nearly a week. He had some specific medical needs and she followed those wonderfully. She was also so considerate and tidy sitting him at our home. Thanks for taking such good care of him, Hollie!”

“Ines was punctual, calm, and cool. She has a presence that is grounding for animals and humans alike - Nuka was quickly at ease and physically comfortable with her. They walked, played, and I got lovely pictures of Nuka fast asleep on the couch. Highly recommended.”

“We were a little apprehensive because we had never left Bernard with a house sitter before. We need not have worried! Margarita and Bernard got on well together from the beginning. We got regular updates and photos and it was clear they were enjoying their time together. When we returned the house was just as we left it. I have no hesitation in recommending Margarita.”

About: A lover of all animals, I studied biology here at Oxford and completed my Master's in the conservation of African Wild Dogs. Since childhood I have been deeply involved in the care of my family pets - training, feeding, bathing and walking them, and volunteering at my local stables helping care for the horses as well as the stable cats. When our dog Thandi developed diabetes in her old age, I administered insulin injections, oral medication, and generally took care of her, so I am used to senior dogs and their needs. Growing up around dogs, I have learned how to handle loving, energetic, and stubborn dogs, with breeds ranging from a Ridgeback mix to sweet terrier crosses. My family’s current dog, Bodie, is very reactive and I am used to handling him safely and calmly on a walk. I also regularly cat and dog-sit for neighbours, grandparents and family friends. I have been vegan for 6 years and believe strongly in kindness and patience with all animals. Pets tend to warm up to me quickly and I know how to adjust to the individual needs and personalities of each pet. Expect your pet to be showered with attention and love whilst you are away, I strive to make it feel like they have had a holiday too! Currently I work part time at the University and part time from home so I am fairly flexible to look after your pet and the schedule it needs. I am healthy and used to early mornings and long walks from my fieldwork in the conservation of African Wild dogs. My partner, Angus, sometimes assists me and he is practically snow white with animals. From the Scottish countryside, he has lived with dogs, cats, axolotls, cows, bees, you name it, his whole life, and is a gentle kind soul to all animals. His accolades include being a favourite of Hertford college's elusive cat Simpkins, and being able to hold out his hand to call wild birds. He is registered as an additional carer with Rover. I work part time in person and part time remote. My dates/hours are flexible on a weekly basis, which allows for a lot of flexibility and breaks when caring for pets! I also spend a lot of time on walks outside and in nature which dogs tend to love to join me on! I make sure there isn’t anything edible lying around and keep doors shut when not supervising, unless the owner has specified it's OK i.e. an outside cat. In owners home I keep things tidy and comfortable for the pet. I’m responsible with keys. I will ask all necessary questions to the owners about the pet’s schedule, the things they are allowed to do and the don’ts.

“I would highly recommend Jodie. She was very communicative and bonded well with my elderly dog (15). She kept me informed regularly including photos and left the house in a very good condition - clean and tidy. She appeared to be very responsive to my dog's needs and I returned to a happy dog. I have rebooked for my next trip away.”

“Sam looked after Otto for two nights whilst my wife and I went to a nearby festival. Sam was great communicating in advance of the day, and I was comfortable that we would look after Otto at our house - he was considerate that this was the first time someone else had stopped in the house to look after him without his usual ‘pack’ around! Same sent photos and took Otto on plenty of exercise including socialising with another dog. I’d definitely use Sam again, and it was obvious that Otto had a great time with him!”

“Gabriela was fantastic with our nervous dachshund. She came to visit him before her first visit and was patient with him while he gets to know her. Her communication is great. Would highly recommend Gabriela.”

“Emma is the perfect sitter! Absolutely amazing from the meet & greet to staying with our sometimes zoomie-prome XL pup, came back to a very happy dog & clean house after 4 days away. Thanks so much & hope to see you again soon!x”

Hollie was brilliant with my 9-week-old Labrador and 13-year-old Basset Hound! She sent me pictures and videos of them having a lovely time, and she looked after them perfectly. She understands dogs and genuinely enjoys being with them... my two bonded with her straight away! She left the house immaculately, and I would have no hesitation in having her again.

Natali is a lovely gentle person who loves dogs and is very respectful and considerate when staying in the house to care for them. I will most definitely be booking Natali again!

Maria was absolutely wonderful with Runa and Momo! She kept us at ease the entire time with frequent updates and amazing photos — we always knew our babies were happy and well cared for. Her communication was top-notch; she checked in regularly and responded quickly to any messages. The pictures she sent were adorable and really showed how much fun Runa and Momo were having. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter. Highly recommend Maria and will definitely book again!
I cannot even begin to describe how greatful we are to have Karna looking after our high energy Collie-Kelpie dog: Ciccio. Ciccio is not a couch dog, definitely requires attention and entertainment, and Karna ensures that his needs are met at all times. Not only Karna is amazing with our dog, she is a kind, considerate and helpful person! My wife and I are truly grateful for Karna's work with Ciccio and we 100% recommend her to anyone that is looking for a kind and attentive person to look after their pets!

Petra was just wonderful with our dog Denis: she is professional, kind, calm, reliable and communicative. Denis had a lovely time with her, and we were able to relax on our evening out, knowing that he was in very safe hands. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend her highly. Thank you so much, Petra.

Mylena looked after my springer spaniel Otto for the day whilst I was abroad for work and my wife needed to be in the office for the day. She provided regular updates so I knew that he was being looked after throughout the day. Mylena is a great communicator and was also flexible as my wife had to leave the house really early in the morning. I’d certainly recommend her for your pet care needs.

Sam was brilliant!! He was very accommodating at our very last minute request and had excellent communication. He was friendly and clearly loves dogs. We felt that Frankie was in safe hands (he clearly had a great time and was very happy when we got home). We’d love to book him again:)

We recently had Finn look after Morris and Bash while we were away, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything went. Both pets were so well cared for — it was clear Finn gave them plenty of attention and stuck to their routines, which made coming home so much easier. What really stood out was how immaculate he kept the house. We genuinely came back to everything in better shape than we left it, which is such a rare and welcome thing to find. It made the whole return home feel calm and stress-free. Finn is reliable, responsible, and clearly a natural with animals. We would use him again without a second thought and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter. Five stars all round — thank you, Finn!

Elaine took good care of my boys and they seemed content and well looked after when I returned, which is what matters most to me. Communication was clear and reliable. I realised that I prefer slightly more frequent updates for reassurance, so I would request a few more next time – but that’s simply a preference I hadn’t needed to clarify before, as I’d received very frequent updates from previous sitters. The home was also left in good order. I’d happily book her again.

Valentina was a great sitter, she stayed with my 1 year old british shorthair all weekend and treated my home as her own. She was on time, sent me photos and messages the whole weekend and it really kept us at ease. Obi will miss you! thanks again :) our first sitter with rover and i’ll be using again.

Madeleine took great care of the pets. They all seemed happy and well-fed and were visibly very comfortable around her. One of my shyer cats was cuddling up to her and purring, which she never does with strangers! She also kept me posted with photos (as requested) throughout the stay. Thanks you !! Would absolutely book again.
