Growing up, my family welcomed a rescue Border Collie into our home, which taught me so much about patience, high-energy breeds, and earning a dog's trust. She took both dogs on regular walks and played with them both for many hours. The house was kept spotless and cleaner than when we left. We had regular updates and photos which was great. I work fully remote so you’ll know your pets always have company and quality time with myself. I can do as little as 1 day or as long as 2/3 weeks at a time, I’m now looking to try Rover to be able to do this more full time. I currently work fully remote full time so will always be available to care for your pets needs whether that’s going a on a midday walk, making sure they’re fed on time and especially to help with any medication at a specific time. I have years of experience looking after all sorts of animals and will always be there to ask questions and send photos of the great times we’ll have together! I currently live at home with 2 cats and a sausage dog so have the experience to keep the peace with them all running around. As you know Dachshunds are one of the most stubborn breeds so if I can look after Dougie, I’m sure I can handle everything!

About: I had a dog (a Samoyed!) in my childhood through to teen hood, and have been around dogs basically my whole life via friends and family pets and volunteering. I have also had a dog, rabbits, budgies, fish, crabs, and hamsters throughout my life. Moreover, I have pet sit dogs, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, fish, guinea pigs, and a bearded dragon. I have done pet sitting on and off for the last 10 years, starting when I used to live in Thailand, and then when I moved back to England years ago, mainly for people who were away for days or weeks at a time, and I have enjoyed every minute. I have previously also been a volunteer dog walk for a local sanctuary. I can deal with giving medication (but must be spoken about and agreed prior to booking), as my cat has a thyroid issue and needs daily medication, along with the routine worming tablets etc. I will love your pet as my own and give them the absolute best care. We are happy to babysit your small/medium size dog and provide the care and companionship your pet deserves. I have experience: with rescue pets, with behavioral problems, with powerful breeds, with dog training techniques, to administer oral and injected medication. We can offer: constant supervision, emergency transport or emergency vet visit when needed. I have grown up having all kinds of animals around. I currently have two playful minibull terriers and they love being around large or small dogs, very friendly and social. I am currently not working, so available for boarding any day of the week including weekends. Our daily routine: Morning - Bathroom break and some playtime in the garden, breakfast. Clean and refill the water bowl. Midday - Bathroom break, Bathroom break, short walk or play session. Evening - Serve dinner (if feeding twice daily), Bathroom break and another short walk or play session. Night - Final bathroom break before bed. Exercise: Walk or play (15–60 minutes depending on breed/energy level) I would wash their paws every time after walk and let them play around the house freely. I have a fenced garden and two fiendly small dogs to keep your furry friend a company. Regular updates and photos will be provided to give you peace of mind during the stay.
