Stewart and Maria did an excellent job of looking after our 6 year old golden retriever. Our dog has a lot of energy and can pull quite a bit on the lead, yet this wasn’t a problem for them. We got regular updates and the most beautiful photos. It was really obvious that our dog was having such a great time in all the photos. We have already booked another holiday for our dog to stay with Stewart and Maria.
Leanora has not been left with anyone but family since her arrival 2 years ago from Cyprus. We were understandably nervous about leaving her for a 3-day break with Danielle. It turns out that we did not need to be concerned. Apart from regular contacts and photos from Danielle (which showed that she seemed calm and settled) she came home full of life as though she hadn't missed us at all! Thanks Danielle for looking after her so well.
Georgia was lovely, was our first time doing boarding with Benji and I was a bit nervous, but Georgia left me at ease from the beginning by inviting me to see the house prior to Benji stay and even after I share some of Benji behaviour she wasn’t at all worried and happy to help. While we were away, they kept us updated with lovely photos, which reassured us that our boy was not only safe but also being showered with love and cuddles. It was clear he was so well looked after, and we could see how happy and relaxed he was. We’re so grateful for the genuine care and attention given, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again. If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
