“Can massively recommend Sophie and Ash! Our dog Poppy had a brilliant time, was really well looked after and came back worn out (in a good way!). Sophie was fantastic at keeping in touch and sending regular updates and photos which we really appreciated.”

“Our 7 month old dog had a lovely week with Luciane and did lots of socialising and playing. Through the booking process Luciane responded to messages very promptly and kept us up to date through the week with regular video clips which we really appreciated as it was the first time our young dog had spent away from us and we missed her! Luciane and her family are very warm and friendly and welcoming and clearly love dogs so we felt comfortable leaving our dog with her knowing that she would be well looked after. Many thanks Luciane!”

“Monika was very supportive with our last minute changes to the schedule. She sent us pictures of Buddy through out the booking. Buddy looked very Happy after coming back.”

“Jing has been amazing with our doggy willow. We received lots of pictures which is great to see and we know that Willow had a great time. Definitely recommend and we will definitely be using her again.”

“Emma was great with our dog Freddie, and was able to take him at short notice. She provided updates throughout and we felt at ease seeing how much fun he was having with the other dogs. We would definitely use Emma again.”

About: Hello! We are caring, passionate animal lovers with the softest spot especially for dogs. Between us we’ve had a lab/staff rescue dog called Shadow, and currently have a friendly, crazy mini golden doodle (from a pup) that literally loves anything that moves! We live in a large detached house with spacious indoor areas and a good sized secure garden, fenced and gated. We also have bucket loads of experience caring for various breeds of dogs, especially those with nervous dispositions, high energy needs and seniors. We understand how hard it is trusting your most precious bundle with anyone but yourself, and strive to provide a home from home environment where your dog feels totally loved and safe. When they stay with us they are truly part of the family and will have total freedom to roam around, while being supervised all day (and night if staying) with one or other of us home at all times. We know every dog is different and will work with you to provide the care and routine that you feel suits your dog best. Patience is our speciality and you can rest assured a stress free stay, enriched with plenty of fun walks and playtime, quiet resting spaces when needed and oodles of cuddles. Whether you’re heading away for a weekend, holiday or just need a helping hand during a busy week, we’re here to give your dog all the care, attention, and love they deserve, and you’ll have total peace of mind. Our standard doggy day care covers up to 9 hours, drop off and pick up to be agreed. Bookings exceeding 9 hours will incur an extended care fee. Standard boarding, pick up is 24 hours from drop off. As Kyla works from home, your dog will enjoy constant companionship and supervision throughout the day no long periods left alone. This means plenty of attention, reassurance, and care, especially for dogs who thrive on human company or may feel anxious when left. Our day is naturally structured around regular breaks, which we use for walks, toilet breaks, playtime, and enrichment. Whether your dog loves energetic walks or prefers a slower pace and lots of cuddles, we adapt to suit their needs. Throughout the day, your pet can relax in a calm home environment, nap comfortably, or stay close to Kyla while she works many dogs love having that steady presence nearby. We keep to your dog’s usual routine as much as possible, including feeding times, walk schedules, and any specific habits, so they feel settled and at home. In short: lots of company, regular exercise, and a calm, loving environment all day long We promise your dog: A safe pet friendly environment. Lots of love and cuddles. Reliable communication and updates. Care tailored to your dog's needs. Plenty of tail wags.

“Ruby had a fantastic time staying with Deanne, she was absolutely shattered when she got home! The communication and regular photos were brilliant so we knew she was happy and settled. We will definitely be booking again! Thank you so much.”

“Chris and Charlotte have been so accommodating and welcoming to our 21 week old puppy Darci, this was her first sleep over and she had the best time! Charlotte sent lots of pictures and updates throughout the time Darci was with them which was brilliant. I felt so happy and relaxed knowing our puppy was being cared for the same as I would care for her! 😁❤️”

“Great experience looking after our pup - for his first time away from us - and our older dog, frequent updates and lots of love & attention given. Very happy - would def recommend!”

“Claire and her family (and gentle dog Coco) looked after our springerpoo Tara for 10 days this summer. Tara can be a bit anxious when staying somewhere new, but we felt very comfortable leaving her with them - and were sent regular updates and photos throughout, assuring us that she was having the best time. Claire is warm and friendly, and obviously loves dogs - and I can thoroughly recommend her.”

“Olivia and Harry provided such a welcoming environment for my dog who has separation anxiety. He was treated so well and it’s clear they have lots of experience. He loved his overnight stay and was reluctant to come home with me when I picked him up - which is a sure sign he received the best care.”

“Stacey was absolutely fantastic. Our little boy Otto (Maine coon) kitten had a lovely 5 night stay with Stacey. Stacey kept us up dated with photos and even gave us some advice in dealing with the hot weather and bought him a cooling mat! Thanks Stacey!”

“Rolo had a fantastic time staying with Vicki and her family. Vicki communicated clearly and sent us lots of lovely photos. I’d happily send Rolo to stay here again. Thank you!”

“Lisa was wonderful - friendly and clearly very experienced. She was great at keeping us updated and sending photos of the dogs while we were away, which reassured us well, since it's the first time we'd left them anywhere. Great sitter, we'll definitely use her again.”

“Fabulous from start to finish! Megan was efficient, friendly and clearly loved the dogs along with her partner Craig. They asked lots of questions about feeding, routine etc. when we arrived - and the dogs had a terrific time whilst they were there (certainly judging by lots of piccies sent to us!). The facilities are perfect for doggie care and Craig and Megan are just the best carers. Will definitely book again..... Thank you both.”

About: Animal lover, dog mum and professional treat giver! I’ve always had a huge soft spot for animals and love getting to know every pet’s individual personality, whether they’re a cuddly sofa potato, an energetic adventurer or a little bit of a diva. 😂 I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own, with plenty of cuddles, playtime, attention and, of course, the occasional well earned treat! 🦴 I’m reliable, caring and happy to keep you updated with photos and little adventures while you’re away, so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is having a lovely time too. 🐾❤️ I’ve been around dogs since I was born, varying from different sizes, from German Shepards to Jack Russels. I love animals with my entire heart. My husband has also had the same upbringing, mostly training and having Great Dane’s. We now have our own little 2 year old Jack Russell dog who we love so much. If your dog stays with us, they’ll have the most fun playing in our big garden and cuddling on the sofa. We are very knowledgeable with what dogs need, so let us know any requirements and we’ll be happy to implement them. I work from home so I’ll be with your baby all day. I work full time from home, I wake up early for walkies (with lots of treats) then home for food and cuddles, I’m around all day for play time and the garden is always accessible for them. Dogs are apart of the family so If owners are okay with it, they’re allowed on all the furniture and on the bed, if they’re crate trained, we’re happy for them to sleep there I have a fenced, secure garden with a super friendly and sweet lively Jack Russell. The dogs will never be left alone and walks are always in safe secure areas.

OUTSTANDING experience from start to finish! Frankie is just lovely and looked after my two sighthounds quite beautifully. I was kept informed with lots of video's, there is plenty of space and Frankie's dog Huntress is just beautiful and SO well behaved - particularly with my lunatic Italian Greyhound! I had clips of plenty of walks, and the fussy eater ate everything put in front of her - so clearly relaxed and happy. I couldn't be more thrilled and will definitely book again in the future. THANK YOU FRANKIE!

We were delighted with the care and attention Dominique gave Badger during his three and a half week stay. He had obviously been looked after very well, and she kept us informed about his care throughout. We would have complete confidence in leaving him with her again. Thank you!

Rosie and Wilbur gave Dolly the best holiday and would definitely recommend their extra special care and attention to any dog owner! We received daily updates and photos of Dolly out in walks, playing with Wilbur and enjoying the sun in the garden. Dolly was quite sad to leave I think and moped around the house for the first few hours! Thank you Rosie for taking such great care of Dolly!

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
