About: I have been a dog lover my entire life and have owned and cared for dogs of all breeds, ages, personalities and sizes—from small lap dogs to much larger breeds. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and I genuinely love spending time with them, whether that means playing in the garden, enjoying a good game of fetch, giving plenty of fuss and cuddles, or simply relaxing together on the sofa. I have been providing home boarding for six years, so I understand that every dog is different. Some arrive ready to explore and play, while others need a little extra patience and reassurance before they feel settled. I take the time to learn about each dog’s personality, usual routine, likes, dislikes and individual needs so that I can help them feel safe, comfortable and completely at home. I am home throughout the day, meaning my guests receive plenty of company, attention and supervision without being left alone for long periods. I also have a huge, fully enclosed back garden where dogs can safely stretch their legs, play, sniff, explore or find a sunny spot for an afternoon snooze. My resident dog is Shelby, a wonderfully calm and chilled German Shepherd who is accustomed to sharing her home with visiting dogs. Her relaxed nature helps make my home feel welcoming, whether a guest wants a playmate or prefers to enjoy their own space. I am also first-aid trained, giving owners additional reassurance that their dog is being cared for by responsible and experienced hands. Most importantly, I understand how much trust it takes to leave a much-loved family member with somebody else. I provide the same love, patience and care that I would want for Shelby, creating a genuine home-from-home experience filled with attention, playtime, affection and plenty of wagging tails. I am home throughout the day, so my schedule is flexible and dogs receive plenty of company, attention, playtime and supervised garden time. I aim to follow each dog’s normal routine, including their usual mealtimes, exercise, rest and bedtime, helping them settle in and feel at home. I have six years of home-boarding experience and am first-aid trained. My home provides a calm, loving environment with a huge, fully enclosed back garden for safe play and exploration. Visiting dogs are carefully introduced to Shelby, my relaxed German Shepherd, and I follow every owner’s care instructions closely.

About: I've been around dogs for as long as I can remember and they've always been an important part of my life. I currently have two lovely, well-behaved dogs of my own, so I understand the care, patience and attention they need to be happy and comfortable. Just picked up Coco after his 3rd stay with this lovely family. I love going away knowing he is looked after and spoilt as if he were their own dog. The updates and all the photos make me smile while I am away. Scared to recommend them too much as they might get too booked up and I would hate now to leave Coco with anyone else.
Becca and James were absolutely amazing with our 12-year-old cockapoo, Florence. They are genuinely the loveliest people and we felt completely at ease leaving her with them. Florence is completely obsessed with having her ball thrown, and they were incredibly patient with her and clearly gave her all the attention she could have wanted! 😂 She had the best time and came home very happy. They kept us updated throughout with lots of lovely photos and their communication was brilliant, which was so reassuring. We honestly couldn’t have asked for better people to look after her and would 100% recommend James and Becca to anyone. Florence will definitely be very happy to see them again!

I could not be more grateful to Hannah (and her family) they had our bundle of energy (3 year old golden lab) for 5 days 4 nights. Hannah kept in contact leading up to and during his stay. Max went on lots of lovely walks and adventures and was made part of the family. We were kept informed with messages and pictures and at no point were we worried about our boy as we knew he was in safe hands and having the best time. Hannah will 1000% be our go to next time we need someone to watch our boy. Really could not thank Hannah and her family enough ❤️
Our Border Collie is lovely, but typical of his breed. He herds everything, pulls like a train on the lead at cars, and struggles to find his off switch. John has mountains of experience with dogs and despite knowing all the potential challenges, he happily took Jackson on while we were away for the weekend. We felt totally assured that John would be able to deal with whatever Jackson couls throw at him and we were really pleased to hear thay the most mischief he managed was stealing sofa cushions and taking them into the garden for attention. John has a lovely home, a safe enclosed garden space, he is flexible and reasonable with drop off and pick up times, and we highly recommend him to give your dog the care they need.
Penyo and his family took great care of my Rolo. He kept me updated with pictures, took him for walks and played with him. Rolo looked very happy and content It was lovely to meet him and i would highly recommend him and will definitely use his services in the future.
A very big thank you to Jo and Chris and of course Bally for taking such good care of Barney whilst we were on holiday for 10 days. If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
