Rupert recognised where he was and ran to the door to greet Tia who was waiting for him which showed how much he loved being there. We had daily updates and videos of what they all got up to on their walks and play times. There was a couple of days where Rupert had an upset tummy and they messaged us to tell us about it and what the plan of action was, within a couple of days Rupert was back to his old self running around, squeaking toy and enjoying his lovely walks. About: I currently work in a private household, I grew up on a farm with a variety of dogs, I have recently been volunteering to help rehome dogs through the dogs trust. I have also been dog sitting for all my neighbours in the area! I love all types of dogs, and they love me! I work in yachting so when I’m in England I am home full time which is perfect for pet sitting. I work 5 days a week, but I live where I work so can pop home every hour if needed. Work a split shift so always have 2-3 hours off early afternoon to play! I simply love animals, and would love to be able to help you with your pet sitting needs. I live alone and have an enclosed garden. Happy to follow any guidance you have for caring for your dog. And most importantly look forward to having a play outside or cuddle on the sofa!
About: I’ve taken care of many friends and families dogs, confident on walks and overnights. I have a four year old son who’s also confident around dogs and we love to have them in the house. I’ve got a lovely large garden that they can roam in. I work from home so am available for daycare, can walk a couple of times a day (morning/lunchtime), can check in midday if required. If overnights stays are required, I’ll be available all day to let out for garden sniffs, and also for a couple of walks. I have a fenced garden, and also a four year old boy who is confident around dogs. Your dog would need to be ok around children for that reason. Similarly if you choose to book when my son is not with me then this is not an issue so please do select your service or date and we can discuss. I don’t currently have a crate so if needed you would need to provide that but otherwise any questions just ask.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
