About: I currently work in a private household, I grew up on a farm with a variety of dogs, I have recently been volunteering to help rehome dogs through the dogs trust. I have also been dog sitting for all my neighbours in the area! I love all types of dogs, and they love me! I work in yachting so when I’m in England I am home full time which is perfect for pet sitting. I work 5 days a week, but I live where I work so can pop home every hour if needed. Work a split shift so always have 2-3 hours off early afternoon to play! I simply love animals, and would love to be able to help you with your pet sitting needs. I’ve got a lovely large garden that they can roam in. I work from home so am available for daycare, can walk a couple of times a day (morning/lunchtime), can check in midday if required. If overnights stays are required, I’ll be available all day to let out for garden sniffs, and also for a couple of walks. I have a fenced garden, and also a four year old boy who is confident around dogs. Your dog would need to be ok around children for that reason. Similarly if you choose to book when my son is not with me then this is not an issue so please do select your service or date and we can discuss. I’ve owned both a Rottweiler/German Shepherd mix and a Miniature Pinscher mix, so I understand that every dog is unique, whether they’re a gentle giant, a little bundle of personality, or somewhere in between. I also worked in an animal shelter, where I cared for animals of all breeds, sizes and temperaments. My role included walking, feeding and transporting animals, caring for dogs recovering from surgery, helping new arrivals settle in and providing day-to-day care. Some dogs were full of confidence, while others were nervous, reactive or very high-energy and needed more patience, space and understanding. That experience taught me how important it is to adapt to each animal rather than expecting every dog to behave in the same way. I’m comfortable caring for reactive and high-energy dogs and understand that certain situations — such as meeting other dogs, runners, cyclists or being somewhere busy — can be challenging for them. I’m happy to follow the routines, boundaries and training methods you already use, and I’ll always work at your dog’s pace rather than putting them into situations they’re uncomfortable with. About: I’ve always had dogs in my life, I love every single dog I meet, no matter how bizarre, shy or crazy they are. I treat them as if they’re my own whilst also keeping their safety and happiness as my first priority. I’ve also been in Tanzania volunteering at Moshi dog rescue for the past three months helping with dog walks, grooming, feeding and general cleaning withinn in the sanctuary. This experience has just made my love for dogs even more intense. I work part time as an on call care manager, but I have plenty of time outside of work. I can also drive, so I’m happy to commute to wherever your fur baby is! I keep the owners home cleaner than they left it and clean up any mess whilst having fun with your pup! Two years ago we got our goldendoodle Benji, and the adventure of raising a puppy began. We took him to puppy classes and keep his training going day to day, so we're comfortable with young, bouncy dogs and happy to stick to whatever commands and routines your dog already knows. We're an active couple who love countryside walks, trips to the park, and plenty of games of fetch with Benji. We both work from home, so your dog will have lots of company throughout the day and won't be left alone for long periods. We've also been on the other side of this app. When we go away, Benji stays with a sitter, so we know that nervous feeling of handing your dog over to someone new. We also know how reassuring it is to receive a photo of them fast asleep on the sofa or happily out on a walk. About: Since I was born, cats & dogs have been apart of my family, from Ginger Toms, Maine Coons’s , Tabby’s, Moggy’s, to Tonkinese. From Beagles, Dachshund’s, German Shepherds, Collies, and Labrador’s. , I’m also a member of the Cats Protection Agency Stroud branch. About: I started Dog Walking for Neighbours at 10, Pet Sitting and helping neighbours with horses from 14 and then Housing Sitting from the age of 16. I’ve grown up around cats, dogs and horses of all sizes and ages, from young animals through to seniors. I also have experience caring for rescue dogs and horses, so I understand the extra patience and care they can require. With every dog I’ve owned, I’ve attended training classes, and I even showed my rescue Border Collie, Ollie, who won first place in both the County Agility competition and the “Most Handsome Hound” category. Growing up, the family pets were primarily my responsibility, so I’m very comfortable with everything from puppy care and training to looking after older dogs with changing needs. I’m more than happy to get stuck in with muddy walks, messy paws, and all the less glamorous parts of pet care too! I’m 27 and have recently moved to the area for work. At the moment, I’m unable to have pets of my own as I live in shared accommodation and occasionally travel for work. I’ve really been missing having animals in my life, as they’ve been a huge part of my daily routine since I was a child. I currently work a 9 to 5 in transport logistics with a half day on Fridays, 12pm finishes. I am happy to do early morning walks and then afternoon and evening walks. Back home, I’m out til 10:30pm with our family dog so happy to do late nights. I am unable to do lunch walks or visits Monday to Thursday. I have no weekend commitments so would schedule my Saturday and Sundays around the pets schedule to maintain their routines. About: I’m Dan, an experienced house sitter and lifelong animal owner. For around two to three years, I had a regular house-sitting arrangement for a client who divided her time between the UK and overseas. I looked after her home, two dogs, a cat, two Shetland ponies and a horse, with stays ranging from weekends to three or four months at a time. I maintained this arrangement alongside working in hospitality in the village, so I understand the importance of dependable routines, clear communication and balancing work commitments with the animals’ needs. Being trusted with someone’s home and pets over such extended periods is a responsibility I take seriously. I’ve grown up with dogs since the age of seven and have owned French bulldogs, pugs, German Shorthaired Pointers, Cocker Spaniels, cats, reptiles and horses. This has given me hands-on experience with smaller companion dogs, larger energetic gundogs and equine care, while recognising that every animal needs an individual approach. My own dogs are very much part of the family. When I moved overseas to live, they came with me. Life with my own dogs already revolves around walks, meals and making time for company, so pet care is a natural part of my day. Having returned to the UK from living overseas, I am working part time as a hospitality consultant and I have a flexible schedule for walks, drop-ins and overnight stays, whether your dog enjoys a proper outing or a gentle potter with plenty of sniffing stops. During house sits, I may pop out for other local walks or visits. We’ll agree this beforehand so you know what to expect and your pet gets the attention and routine they need. My calendar shows my current availability. I know that handing over your keys and leaving your pets with someone is a big thing. I like to meet beforehand so we can have a chat, your pets can get to know me and you can tell me about their little quirks—from favourite hiding places to the precise time dinner is apparently overdue. I’ll keep their usual routine, follow your instructions and give them company on their terms, whether that means a game, some fuss or quietly sharing a room. Walks will suit your dog’s needs, with suitable leads and harnesses, and I won’t pair them with another dog without your agreement. You’ll receive photographs and updates, and I’ll treat your home with care and respect. We’ll also cover the practical details, including secure doors and gates, veterinary information and emergency contacts, so I’m prepared if anything unexpected happens.
About: I have an 8 year old female Cocker Spaniel. Experience with drop in visits to friend’s dogs. New to Rover as a sitter myself. I am a teacher by day working 4 days a week. Mondays are my free days so have full availability on a Monday to suit your needs. I have a small fenced in garden. My garden does have astro turf. I’ve also been in Tanzania volunteering at Moshi dog rescue for the past three months helping with dog walks, grooming, feeding and general cleaning withinn in the sanctuary. About: I look after dogs of varying ages/sizes from puppies to your childhood pet. Walking, enrichment activities and of course snuggles are a key part of my pet care! I have a schedule which allows me the flexibility to offer drop in services depending on other commitments or full time in house sitting where notified ahead of time. Within a pets home I follow the examples set by their owners, letting the animals feel comfortable and secure. Walks are frequent as are enrichment activities to keep them entertained!
About: I have grown up with animals my whole life, dogs, cats, horses… you name it! And i love every single one of them. I have trained my puppy and she is an angel. I have cared for friends and family’s dogs and cats many times, this includes, walking, washing, feeding and of course fussing!!! I’m currently in the process of trying to make this my full time job which means i have a lot more play time available and would love to spend that with my fluffy friends! About: I currently work in a private household, I grew up on a farm with a variety of dogs, I have recently been volunteering to help rehome dogs through the dogs trust. I have also been dog sitting for all my neighbours in the area! I love all types of dogs, and they love me! I work in yachting so when I’m in England I am home full time which is perfect for pet sitting. I work 5 days a week, but I live where I work so can pop home every hour if needed. I’ve owned both a Rottweiler/German Shepherd mix and a Miniature Pinscher mix, so I understand that every dog is unique, whether they’re a gentle giant, a little bundle of personality, or somewhere in between. I also worked in an animal shelter, where I cared for animals of all breeds, sizes and temperaments. My role included walking, feeding and transporting animals, caring for dogs recovering from surgery, helping new arrivals settle in and providing day-to-day care. Some dogs were full of confidence, while others were nervous, reactive or very high-energy and needed more patience, space and understanding. That experience taught me how important it is to adapt to each animal rather than expecting every dog to behave in the same way. I’m comfortable caring for reactive and high-energy dogs and understand that certain situations — such as meeting other dogs, runners, cyclists or being somewhere busy — can be challenging for them. I’m happy to follow the routines, boundaries and training methods you already use, and I’ll always work at your dog’s pace rather than putting them into situations they’re uncomfortable with.
