Sophie was once again an absolute star with Joey! As he was unfamiliar with being in new surroundings, he unfortunately left his "mark" in multiple places in Sophie's house shortly after we arrived. Sophie was very understanding and forgiving :-) Joey has a great day exploring and giving and receiving cuddles, and Sophie was kind enough to brave the storm to drop him at home quite late at night. Fab experience again and I will have no hesitation in continuing to use Sophie's services and recommend her to others.

Tilly had a wonderful day with Lewis and Rocky, he took her for lots of lovely walks and she had a great time playing with Rocky. She can’t wait to go back and stay at the end of November. Lewis was great sending through photos of her walks. I would recommend Lewis if you are looking for someone to look after your dog.

She and her family are very friendly for us. My dog usually doesn't like to interact with other dogs, but she was showing interest in this family's dog. It's a sign that she's very relaxed. I would like to ask them to day care again!

About: I’ve always had dogs in my life, I love every single dog I meet, no matter how bizarre, shy or crazy they are. I treat them as if they’re my own whilst also keeping their safety and happiness as my first priority. I’ve also been in Tanzania volunteering at Moshi dog rescue for the past three months helping with dog walks, grooming, feeding and general cleaning withinn in the sanctuary. This experience has just made my love for dogs even more intense. I work part time as an on call care manager, but I have plenty of time outside of work. I can also drive, so I’m happy to commute to wherever your fur baby is! I keep the owners home cleaner than they left it and clean up any mess whilst having fun with your pup! I will send regular photo/video updates to ensure you they’re in safe hands. I make sure that your home is fully secure and will not leave your dogs unattended for long periods of time!

My dog loved spending the day with Ben and Logan. He slept loads back home and his usual happy self. He struggles with joint pain but so far so good, he had loads of fun going for two walks and not struggling today, and even better behaved! Ben was really kind, welcoming and sent updates through the day. I definitely recommend.

About: My husband and I live in a detached house in Lower Slaughter, right in the centre of the Cotswolds. We live with Poppy, our 3 year old Cockerpoo, and Banjo, a small 2 year old Goldendoodle. We have a large enclosed garden and dogs are ranked above humans at our house! Expect lots of cuddles, zoomies and naps in front of the (sealed) fire. Very relaxed household, where dogs are allowed on furniture and encouraged to play. I’m a freelance designer who works at home, so your pets will never be left alone. I take the pups out regularly to stretch their legs in our garden. We have a large, enclosed garden, where your fur babies can run freely with our two friendly dogs. When it’s time to relax, dogs are welcome anywhere in our home.

We left our dog Eddie with Rachael while we visited Amberley. Eddie has a little bit of separation anxiety when we leave him alone. Racheal took great care of him and made sure he was looked after. She sent us videos and pic updates. Recommend highly if you are looking to leave your dog in good hands.

Another great day for Stan. He is living being part of the ( select!) gang at Danielle's. It has been great for him to spend more time with other dogs, he lives the Common and I think he is very fond of Danielle and her family!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Cotswold on Rover is £28.75 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 818 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Cotswold. About 87% of Cotswold sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Cotswold commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in South West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
