“Our dog loved staying with Rachel for the day! He came back to us very chilled. Rachel was great with him and we felt completely at ease leaving him and enjoyed our day. Thank you so much and we will certainly be looking forward to using again! ☺️”

About: I’ve have taken care of dogs and horses my whole life, working on yards, pet sitting for my neighbours, friends and boss’s. I am a very quiet and easy going person who is very active. I work from home, so have plenty of time to spend with your pet. Happy to walk multiple times a day. I have a quiet terrier who loves having friends over and going for walka I can easily crate your dog if needed, but happy to have them out. Safe house with gorgeous walking in the local area and grassland

About: I’ve had pets or looked after them ever since I was 10 years old, growing up in a household that at one point had a dog, a parrot and 4 cats! I’ve grown up loving animals and owned my own dog for the last 9 years. I trained him from 11 weeks old and I think he’s turned out pretty good ❤️ Instagram - maddierover 📸 I work from home regularly so am available through the day on many weeks, I am often also available at weekends. I try to keep my calendar as up to date as possible, but sometimes being away with work does come up last minute, if this happens I have a good network of friends who are also on Rover and we help each other out with clients. I can be pretty flexible because of being able to work from home, so would be around most of the day and in the evenings unless I have to go out for face to face meetings or have rugby training. Important for boarding - I have a a dog of my own (cocker spaniel), so for any enquiries for it’s important that they are good with other dogs. My flat backs onto rugby fields and I’m 5 mins from cleeve hill and the racecourse so there’s plenty of options for running around. I would like to know I’m a good fit for you and your pet and meet them prior to agreeing any work, so I can make sure that we can set mutual expectations and find out additional information such as dietary needs, or if they might chew my shoes 😅, so that I can ensure that I can take the best care of your fur baby. I allow pets on the furniture, but I will stay consistent with whatever your needs are for your pet and how they usually are at home.
“Annabel was amazing with dalton! A happy person for a happy dog and she gave great feedback and advice on how best to help dalton with his springer genes. Thank you again and we will 100% be using Annabel again!”

About: We’ve recently lost our boy Jack and now have the time and love to give to another animal. It’s too soon to commit to a new pet but I’d love to take care of your fur babies on a shorter term basis. I live with my parents so there’s only adults in the house, and there’s always someone at the house so your pet would never be alone. I have experience in administering medication from liquid and tablets to eye drops and insulin so I can make sure even those most vulnerable are well looked after. Working from home means that I’m always around so toilet breaks are not a problem, and being based in Bishops Cleeve, there’s plenty of fields for nice long walks. There’s also the option for some shorter walks for more senior visitors. I currently work from home so toilet breaks are no issue. I can take a break at any point to be able to go on a nice long walk or a shorter one if needed. Living with parents also means there is always someone in the house. I have a large, fenced garden and no other animals in the house so if your pet doesn’t like other animals this will be an ideal stay. There are also plenty of routes to take on walks that often have other dog walkers so your pet can also socialise.
“Our experience with Beth and Dan was perfect in every sense. Great comms throughout, offered an introduction of our Ewok with their dog Darcy (who is an angel), and made Ewok feel utterly spoiled. She loved her time there, and we'll re-book again in a heartbeat.”

“Kristen is lovely and always takes good care of Coco, always communicates well and is kind and flexible. Coco always comes home happy and gets on with Kristens 2x doggies too! Will book again. Thank you”

“Bethany was excellent. Phoebe settled with her straight away. She sent photos of her whilst out on their walk and when collecting Phoebe I’m sure she’d have been happy to stay. Can’t recommend Bethany enough. Thanks again, Phoebe & Karis”

“Leanne and her partner Pav, are such lovely and warm people and also big dog lovers! Ripley had a lovely time with them and they kept on sending pics with updates throughout the day. 😊🐾”

About: I am a passionate animal lover. I am very protective of them and always try to look after their necessities (Food, water, walks, games...Inc. Giving oral medicine) I enjoy their company whether it is in an outdoor or Indoor setting... I like to spend some good quality time with all domestic pets! I have experience with elderlysenior & therapy dogs! :) I am currently working & studying part-time. My work timings are generally on Fri, Sat & Sun in the early afternoons and early evenings. My study times are fairly flexible. Yet, mostly during the day time! I am generally able to accommodate and plan around the pets needs as my part time job works on a log in- log out type of basis - giving me the freedom to choose if I'm able to take on the job(s) or not. I have a fenced small size garden at the back of my flat :) ...It is a very safe, clean and green environment for pets to utilise
“Can't recommend Claire enough, really helped us out incredibly last minute, and Ayce came home after day care incredibly chilled out and happy, he obviously had a great day!!”

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
