“Came home to a very happy kitty! When Katherine came to meet us, my shy girl went straight over to say hello and was obviously very comfortable! She kept me updated and spent lots of time with my girl! Even watered the garden for me! Highly recommend 😺”

“Max was a great find on here! We needed someone pretty last minute for a check in and he replied super quick with a confirmation. We received the cutest photos of the pups whilst he popped in and look forward to a repeat booking! Thanks Max!”

“Shannon did a great job looking after our Ragdoll Milo. She visited him everyday and we received every detail of him every time she visited. She was very flexible and communicated well with us and at the same time she was very understanding about our concern over Milo. Milo had become very friendly with Shannon and had lots of cuddles🥰. We were very happy with what she did for our little fur baby and we would never hesitate to book her again😍”

“I was incredibly nervous as this is the first time I’ve had to use a dog sitter/checker before but can’t believe my luck that Lizzy said yes! She offered to meet them to see how they would get on before taking on the booking and discuss the logistics due to my particular circumstances, and they loved her. She kept me well informed of how they were throughout the day and went above and beyond to tackle muddy paws when I hadn’t thought about the risk of rain! Highly recommend.”

“Annie was amazing with Gyda and Floki. They both seemed so happy and well looked after when I got home. She sent me daily updates and photos, which gave me great peace of mind. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter.”

About: I’ve always loved animals as a child and more so now as an adult. I have a miniature dachshund of my own & spend a lot of time with my mum’s 5 year old dog too. I have often spent spare time previously dog walking & visiting animals of friends & family whilst they were away. I can’t wait to meet you & your lovely pet!😊 I work full time but from home. So I am able to take care of your pet anytime of the day. Whether this is popping in throughout the day to check on them, walking them in the mornings, evenings and on my lunch. I can also house sit any day of the week as I am able to work from anywhere!😊 I am able to work with all breeds and types of animals. If your pet needs some extra care or has any additional needs please let me know, I am more than happy to help!
“Thank you for taking care of our fur babies, Bailey, Dexter and Daisy. Amazing level of care taken to meet all their needs. Great communication with detailed updates and photos. Will definitely rebook for future dates.”

About: I'm reliable, caring, sensible and trustworthy! I'm happy to meet before I come and look after your pet so we can get to know one another 🤗 I live in my self converted Camper-van with my fiancé and black lab Ozzy. Whilst we aren't exploring the Scottish highlands, we live in Gloucestershire and I pick up pet sitting work! This is something I enjoy doing, and have become very confident with! If you're looking for a dog walker I'd prefer to stay closer to the Tewkesbury area, as this is more practical for me! House sitting or regular drop in visits I'm happy to travel further out! If you're happy for your pet to meet my dog Ozzy, often I walk dogs with my dog, but this isn't a necessity. Doing overnight stays are great and I'm happy to travel further a field for this. I've looked after dogs overnight on many occasion, depending on your situation I've sometimes bought my dog and partner, Will along! But this also isn't a necessity and I've regularly done this solo! These are all details we can discuss further once you've reached out to me 🤗 Honesty is probably my biggest value here, looking after your pet is important!! Therefore, having the best understand of their needs and any quirky traits they have is really important to know 🐶🐈🐾 Normally walks are 1 hour long, dogs are always on lead! Flexible leads are quite helpful if you have one! I don't take animals to stay at my house because I live in a van, this just isn't practical for me sorry! When I arrive at your house, I will likely be driving quite a big van so just need a bit of guidance of where best to park! I’ve recently started studying so I am very available to help around my studies! Just drop me a message and I can be very flexible! I will follow your wishes! With our dog we mostly have him on lead, but certain fields around Tewkesbury he’ll have a good run off the lead! Giving him lots of love when we’re at home!!

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my whole life, growing up with four schnauzers and a cocker spaniel. I also had my own schnauzer, Teo, back in Colombia, so I understand how much pets mean to their families. I’ll care for your dog with the same love, patience, and attention I’d give my own. I run my own freelance interior design business from my home studio, which gives me the flexibility to organise my schedule around my clients’ and their pets’ needs. This means I can offer home visits throughout the day for feeding, walks, playtime, toilet breaks, and companionship. I’m available on both weekdays and weekends where possible, and I’ll always do my best to accommodate your preferred times. I’m also happy to arrange a free meet-and-greet beforehand so we can get to know each other and make sure it’s the right fit for both you and your pet. Your pet’s wellbeing is always my priority. I currently offer home visits and dog walking, as I believe many pets are happiest and most relaxed in their own familiar environment. During each visit, I’ll follow your pet’s usual routine, making sure they have fresh food and water, exercise, playtime, and plenty of attention. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages for extra peace of mind. At the moment, I don’t offer pet boarding at my own home as I don’t have a garden. However, it’s something I’d love to offer in the future when I have the right outdoor space. Until then, I’m committed to providing reliable, caring visits in your pet’s own home, where they feel safest and most comfortable.

About: Experienced in pet and house sitting, always receiving positive feedback from owners. Treating each animal with the respect they deserve, and importantly ensuring every owners mind is at ease whilst away from their very important companions! I am also a pet and equine photographer. I’m currently working part time, aswell as managing my own art and photography business from home. This allows for a lot of flexibility in my schedule. All safety requirements are handled professionally, and your home environment will remain secure during any home visit services. I can appreciate any uncertainty when booking for the first time - which is why I can provide many references on request! I value professionalism just as much as high-standard pet care. All pets are unique and individual and will be treated with high regard, ensuring all individual needs and routines are prioritised.
“Excellent support from Freya, really appreciate the communication and care while we were away. It was a very hot weekend and it was so nice to know the cats were in good hands - definite peace of mind.”

“We were so pleased that we found Sarah to drop in on Poppy, our little working cocker spaniel. Sarah came to see us the evening before, to meet Poppy and discuss the arrangements, and then fed and walked Poppy during the drop ins while we were at our son's wedding. She sent us some lovely photos of Poppy and details of the visits. It gave us such piece of mind, particularly as Poppy hasn't been well. Poppy was very settled and content when we returned. I can heartily recommend Sarah, and, if we lived closer, we would be more than happy to use her services again.”

“Harry was my first Rover booking. He accepted a very short notice booking quickly. He suggested and managed to squeeze in a pre booking visit. I hadn’t thought this was possible. I really appreciated this as it meant I was totally relaxed when I was out as I felt I had the measure of him and he had the measure of the dogs. They clearly liked him! He was calm, kimd and professional. All went without a hitch. A great job and I’ll happily book him again.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
