“Shannon did a great job looking after our Ragdoll Milo. She visited him everyday and we received every detail of him every time she visited. She was very flexible and communicated well with us and at the same time she was very understanding about our concern over Milo. Milo had become very friendly with Shannon and had lots of cuddles🥰. We were very happy with what she did for our little fur baby and we would never hesitate to book her again😍”

“I had complete confidence in Gemma who dropped in to feed my cats while I was away. She sent photos each day which was reassuring as they are outdoor cats. I can recommend Gemma and would use her again”

I am currently working 8am -3:30pm at school, I available weekends or weekdays if you are happy for your dog to be left for that time during the day. “Lily was great. She came to meet us before the booking to run through everything. During our time away she kept us updated each day and everything went very smoothly. We'll definitely use her again!”

About: I am fully insured and DBS checked. I have been house and pet sitting pretty much full time since January 2019 and, to date, have completed 110 sits in the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand all receiving 5 star reviews. Those were through other platforms when I was travelling and rented out my home. I have been back in my home since July 2025 and decided to join Rover on recommendation. I have mainly looked after a variety of dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds, cats and chickens but also alpacas, rare sheep, pygmy goats and fish. I like the challenge of teaching a dog new tricks (!) and taught a Dachshund to ring a bell, a Tibetan Terrier to wait before running after a ball and a Cockapoo to sit and high five, things they didn’t do before. I’m open to more challenges! I keep myself fit and particularly enjoy walking which is enhanced by the company of dogs. I like nothing more than to take my canine charges exploring with me, with their owners’ permission, and have introduced many to new walks and sniffs. I will keep your pets to their normal routines, give them as much love and cuddles as they can take and keep your home as clean and tidy as you leave it. I am retired so can give your pets plenty of attention in their home with long or short walks for dogs outside and happy to continue with any training they might be doing. Cats will get lots of attention also if they wish I will ensure that I keep to the routines of feeding, walking and sleeping that your dogs are used to. I will be alert to any changes in their demeanour and take appropriate action should they become ill. Having been a house owner for over 40 years I will also ensure I take action should any home emergency occur
“Amy was absolutely great. She was able to accommodate a short notice request and made time to meet before looking after Maisy. She was a pleasure to deal with and I received lovely daily updates on the visits. I highly recommend Amy.”

About: I first began taking care of animals when the neighbors would ask my sister and I to watch their cats and small animals while away. Then I finally convinced my parents to get a family dog and that’s where most of my experience is! During covid years, my friend and I have been doing house/pet sitting for family friends for the past year and I enjoy it so much. Unfortunately we lost our precious family dog Jack a couple years ago and having moved from the US to the UK, I am seriously missing animal interaction ! I am pursuing a masters degree in social work from UoG and am currently on a full-time placement until the end of July. During placement I work Monday-Friday, 9-4:30 but am available in evenings and weekends. Once placement ends I will have much more free time and flexibility. While I am currently living in an apartment and will not be able to bring your pet home with me, I enjoy going for long walks in some beautiful neighborhoods or parks of which Cheltenham has plenty to offer! I am also happy to check in on your fur baby for potty breaks, feeding time, or just to share some company for a while or even extend it to overnight house sitting as well if that makes them feel more secure!
“Freya was amazing with Beni! She is super organized, made sure to keep records of everything, and took him for a looong walk - exactly what he needed. Thank you so much for taking such good care of him, highly recommend!”

“A big thank you to Valerye for looking after our 2 fuffballs so well! It was great to come home to chilled cats who have been well looked after! We loved receiving regular updates / photos. House was left clean & tidy too! Would not hesitate to recommend Valerye - so caring & passionate about cats! x”
About: Hello, I’m Emma. I have over 15 years experience in pet care, including house sitting, dog walking and puppy training. I am also a dog wedding chaperone, helping happy couples have their beloved pets part of their wedding day. As well as offering services on Rover, I also have my own pet care business called Harris Hounds of Cheltenham. Full Insurence including public liability, DBS check and Dog First Aid Trained. Thanks for stopping bye, I look forward to hearing from you. ☺️🐾🐕 My services are subject to my availability as I do work but hoping to soon be in a position that I can do this full time. However I am free most evenings and weekends and also available to house sit whilst you are away. I am able to look after small animals at my place (weekends) and have a safe and secure garden. Any animals larger than your average small dog, it would be more convenient for me to look after them at your home. I am experienced with: - puppies - nervous dogs - elderly dogs - reactive dogs

“Heather has been brilliant from the beginning, she came round a few times before the sitting date to learn the meds too. Heather is easy to communicate with and we came home to some very happy cats, we’re very grateful to her!”
About: My partner and I have a 6 year old Sprocker called Tilly. She’s full of energy and loves other dogs! We know that Tilly would love having a friend to play with. She is very well socialised. I also grew up with a family dog 🐶 We allow dogs on the sofa and beds and have a garden - dogs can be let out as often as required. We are a very active family and love walking - we mainly walk Tilly off lead in enclosed fields, but can be flexible to suit another dog’s needs. I took Tilly to puppy training classes regularly so have experience in training young dogs. I am currently working from home so very flexible for daycare and dog walking. Tilly gets two walks per day (and sometimes a third short one in the evening), so we are able to walk as much or as little as required! :) We have a safe, fenced garden for dogs to play in. Our home is very dog friendly and we allow dogs on all furniture including beds if this is what your dog is used to. We do have a one year old baby, however he is not in the house between 8-5:30. We can therefore only accept dogs who are okay around children. I currently work from home for the majority of the week so am able to offer dog walking and day care on those days. On the days I work from home I take our dog on multiple walks. We have a secured fenced garden for dogs to play in and we live on a quiet road. I can tailor to your specific dog – for example, if they are crate trained or not allowed upstairs / on furniture.

Cheltenham cat owners share their Rover experiences
Kate was great at organising and staying in touch. One of my cats was unwell when I was away and Kate was monitoring closely, took to the vets to be safe and gave the recommended treatments which made me feel super reassured until I could be back with my cat. Speedy responses and willing to help beyond the agreed visits due to the medical situation.
Alex was brilliant when looking after our 2 cats! She was really friendly, easy to get on with, and we felt completely at ease leaving them with her. She understood their different needs and personalities right away - handling our very nervous cat perfectly, (including managing to give her medication) and giving our younger boy all the fuss and attention he needed! She kept the house tidy, cleaning up some cat sick, washing up bowls etc, and sent daily updates so we never had to worry. Could not recommend her enough!

Shona did a great job at caring for my cat and 2 guinea pigs for a week. Shona took time to get to know them and asked questions about their personalities etc. My cat has health needs and Shona was happy to follow the specific food instructions. I got daily updates and all pets were well looked after. Shona also kept me up to date with other things like parcel deliveries and brought everything in for me. Would definitely recommend 😊
I've used Rover a couple of times before and Elise is by far the best sitter I've had. The photos showed she was interacting with the cats, giving them fuss and playing with them and when there was something she wasn't sure about she got in touch about it. Highly recommended and will definitely use again.
Having booked Ellie before, I knew she would be a fantastic sitter, and she didn't disappoint. Super helpful, kind, communicative and thorough, and really helpful when she noticed my cat had an eye injury. Again, came back to a lovely clean environment and two happy kitties ☺️ Would absolutely recommend!
