“Shannon did a great job looking after our Ragdoll Milo. She visited him everyday and we received every detail of him every time she visited. She was very flexible and communicated well with us and at the same time she was very understanding about our concern over Milo. Milo had become very friendly with Shannon and had lots of cuddles🥰. We were very happy with what she did for our little fur baby and we would never hesitate to book her again😍”

“Max was a great find on here! We needed someone pretty last minute for a check in and he replied super quick with a confirmation. We received the cutest photos of the pups whilst he popped in and look forward to a repeat booking! Thanks Max!”

“Lily did an excellent job looking after my cat. Lily was very consistent, arriving on time every day and leaving a rover card on each visit with a short update and lots of pictures of my cat so I could see she was well looked after. 🙂 Lily also kept my cat safe taking her around the garden with a harness after checking with me. I was able to enjoy my holiday knowing my cat was in good hands. 🙂”

“I had complete confidence in Gemma who dropped in to feed my cats while I was away. She sent photos each day which was reassuring as they are outdoor cats. I can recommend Gemma and would use her again”

About: Beth: I’ve had a family dog from when he was a puppy until he sadly passed away last year at the age of 16. He was a Westie, and I helped care for him throughout his life, especially during his senior years. Because of this, I understand the different needs of both young, energetic dogs and older dogs who require a little extra care and patience. George: used to have a family dog who was a Great Dane / Akita who was so loving, experience with dog dog breeds. Weve recently moved back from living in Sydney for a year, where we looked after a variety of dogs including Jack Russells and Goldendoodles. My experience included day care while owners were at work, dog walking during the day, and overnight stays while owners were away on holiday. We’re both very reliable, caring, and genuinely love being around dogs. After recently losing my own, spending time with dogs again means a lot to me. Pet sitting is a great way for me to enjoy the company of dogs while helping owners who need support with their pets, making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for. Beth works fully remote (occasional office day a month) so I have plenty of availability during the week and some weekends. I have lots of time to walk, play with, and give attention to your furry friend! Between both of us there will always be someone around to help care for your dog! I work fully remote and love being active so I’m at home to keep your dog company and and play, I also love getting my steps in multiple times a day so can keep them entertained with walks! I have experience looking after my own dog and also my friends and family’s dog at their homes, taking out for walks and playing with them
About: I’ve always loved animals as a child and more so now as an adult. I have a miniature dachshund of my own & spend a lot of time with my mum’s 5 year old dog too. I have often spent spare time previously dog walking & visiting animals of friends & family whilst they were away. I can’t wait to meet you & your lovely pet!😊 I work full time but from home. So I am able to take care of your pet anytime of the day. Whether this is popping in throughout the day to check on them, walking them in the mornings, evenings and on my lunch. I can also house sit any day of the week as I am able to work from anywhere!😊 I am able to work with all breeds and types of animals. If your pet needs some extra care or has any additional needs please let me know, I am more than happy to help!
About: I’ve looked after so many different breeds of dog for family, friends and neighbours, including my own pug and frenchie. I’m confident in applying topics medication, grooming and bathing I work flexibly full time, working from home 4 days a week. I go on daily hour long lunchtime walks anyway, as well as being free most evenings and weekends I’m comfortable in crating and grooming pets, as well as giving them peace or cuddles when they need or want it. I think I’m quite good at recognising animals signals

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my whole life, growing up with four schnauzers and a cocker spaniel. I also had my own schnauzer, Teo, back in Colombia, so I understand how much pets mean to their families. I’ll care for your dog with the same love, patience, and attention I’d give my own. I run my own freelance interior design business from my home studio, which gives me the flexibility to organise my schedule around my clients’ and their pets’ needs. This means I can offer home visits throughout the day for feeding, walks, playtime, toilet breaks, and companionship. I’m available on both weekdays and weekends where possible, and I’ll always do my best to accommodate your preferred times. I’m also happy to arrange a free meet-and-greet beforehand so we can get to know each other and make sure it’s the right fit for both you and your pet. Your pet’s wellbeing is always my priority. I currently offer home visits and dog walking, as I believe many pets are happiest and most relaxed in their own familiar environment. During each visit, I’ll follow your pet’s usual routine, making sure they have fresh food and water, exercise, playtime, and plenty of attention. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages for extra peace of mind. At the moment, I don’t offer pet boarding at my own home as I don’t have a garden. However, it’s something I’d love to offer in the future when I have the right outdoor space. Until then, I’m committed to providing reliable, caring visits in your pet’s own home, where they feel safest and most comfortable.

About: Hi, I’m Karolina! If you’re looking for someone who will care for your pet as if they were my own, I’d love to help. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve owned both a Rottweiler/German Shepherd mix and a Miniature Pinscher mix, so I understand that every dog is unique, whether they’re a gentle giant or a little bundle of personality. I also worked in an animal shelter, where I cared for animals of all breeds, sizes and temperaments. My role included walking, feeding, transporting animals, caring for dogs recovering from surgery, helping new arrivals settle in and providing day-to-day care. Some dogs were full of confidence, while others simply needed patience, kindness and someone they could trust. That experience taught me how to adapt to each animal’s individual needs and always put their wellbeing first. Alongside this, I’ve looked after dogs through BorrowMyDoggy and spent three years living with and helping care for a Cocker Spaniel and a Westie. Caring for animals has never felt like a job to me—it’s something I genuinely enjoy. I understand how difficult it can be to leave your pet with someone else. That’s why I’ll take the time to learn their routine, respect their personality and make sure they feel safe, happy and loved while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you’ll always know how they’re getting on. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions or special requests. I look forward to meeting you and your best friend! 🐾 I currently work in hospitality, so my schedule varies and often gives me extra flexibility throughout the week. In my free time, I love being outdoors and spending time with animals, so pet care fits naturally into my routine. Whether it’s a walk, a drop-in visit or overnight care, I’ll make sure your pet receives plenty of love, attention and care. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else because I’ve been on both sides. I’ll care for your pet as if they were my own, following their usual routine, respecting your instructions and making sure they feel safe, loved and comfortable. You’ll receive regular updates, photos and messages, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy and well looked after.
“Lisa is great! She looked after our cat really well while we were away over Christmas. We loved having the daily update and seeing photos of Oreo enjoying plenty of attention. It is so obvious that Lisa is a true animal lover and really cares about her charges. Nothing phased her including clearing up cat sick and a couple of dead mice in the house! I have no hesitation in recommending Lisa’s services and will be booking her again next time we go on holiday. 😊”

“Thank you for taking care of our fur babies, Bailey, Dexter and Daisy. Amazing level of care taken to meet all their needs. Great communication with detailed updates and photos. Will definitely rebook for future dates.”

“Alex was brilliant when looking after our 2 cats! She was really friendly, easy to get on with, and we felt completely at ease leaving them with her. She understood their different needs and personalities right away - handling our very nervous cat perfectly, (including managing to give her medication) and giving our younger boy all the fuss and attention he needed! She kept the house tidy, cleaning up some cat sick, washing up bowls etc, and sent daily updates so we never had to worry. Could not recommend her enough!”

“Heather has been brilliant from the beginning, she came round a few times before the sitting date to learn the meds too. Heather is easy to communicate with and we came home to some very happy cats, we’re very grateful to her!”

About: Hi, I’m Rosie. I have loved animals all my life, and grew up with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and all manner of other animals at some point! I’ve cared for and walked numerous pets for friends, family members, and neighbours since I was young and have two dogs of my own. I have experience with animals of all ages, sizes, and personalities and I am confident in administering medications. My personal experience is with rescue dogs and cats, and have owned many of these over the years. They can come with various triggers, behavioural issues and medical conditions, and are all very different. They are also incredibly special and worth the time and patience needed to make them feel safe and loved, as are all pets! I have decided to make a career change and start doing the things I love, for a living. I love animals and will take care of your pets as if they were my own. I am dedicating every week day to this new venture and will be available and flexible to your needs. I will be very respectful of your home and private environment. Trust and respect are very important to me. Let me care for your pets when you’re busy, I will help your day to day life to run more smoothly!
“I've used Rover a couple of times before and Elise is by far the best sitter I've had. The photos showed she was interacting with the cats, giving them fuss and playing with them and when there was something she wasn't sure about she got in touch about it. Highly recommended and will definitely use again.”
“Freya was amazing with Beni! She is super organized, made sure to keep records of everything, and took him for a looong walk - exactly what he needed. Thank you so much for taking such good care of him, highly recommend!”

“I can't say enough good things about Tatiana. She was literally the best and our 2 cats loved her! One of my cats is really shy and Chunky warmed up to her right away. She sent pics every day and I even got pics of Chunky cuddling with her and it made my heart melt. I recommend Tatiana for anything you need - she was so sweet and wonderful and got along so well with the kitties. We can't wait to have Tatiana watch our kitties again!”

Cat owners share their Rover experiences - Cheltenham
Having never used a service like this before (I'd always put my cats into the cattery), I was feeling a bit anxious about how it would work. We met Gillian before we went on holiday, and ran through the feeding requirements and a bit about my cats' personalities - if they liked treats, how much fuss they enjoyed, and if they had favourite toys. Gillian put us at ease about the process, so we went away feeling confident our cats would be just fine. We had daily updates on how the cats were doing - including photos, which was really lovely. We came home to happy cats, safe in the knowledge they'd been comfortable at home, and being looked after really well. We will definitely be asking Gillian to look after our cats next time we go away!

Alex looked after my cat Lily really well, taking her outside almost every day on her harness since she loves being outdoors. She sent lovely photos of Lily and some short videos of Lily playing as well. She came reliably and I could relax on holiday knowing Lily was well looked after. Lily bonded well with Alex who gave her much needed cuddles. 🥰

Kate was great at organising and staying in touch. One of my cats was unwell when I was away and Kate was monitoring closely, took to the vets to be safe and gave the recommended treatments which made me feel super reassured until I could be back with my cat. Speedy responses and willing to help beyond the agreed visits due to the medical situation.
I've used Rover a couple of times before and Elise is by far the best sitter I've had. The photos showed she was interacting with the cats, giving them fuss and playing with them and when there was something she wasn't sure about she got in touch about it. Highly recommended and will definitely use again.
Having booked Ellie before, I knew she would be a fantastic sitter, and she didn't disappoint. Super helpful, kind, communicative and thorough, and really helpful when she noticed my cat had an eye injury. Again, came back to a lovely clean environment and two happy kitties ☺️ Would absolutely recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
