Fantastic sitter! Annie did a great job taking care of my two cats for a couple of weeks. She kept to a regular routine with daily visits, giving them extra attention to the point where they were very comfortable around her, and she was able to send me daily pics. Thank you Annie!

Laura and Jake were great with my 2 cats. They came to visit before we went away so they could meet them and run through everything needed...you could tell straight away they love animals! Great communication throughout with daily updates while we were away. Everything was left clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend.

Olivia is absolutely wonderful. Her love for animals is quite obvious, as is her respect for her clients. She made sure she asked about everything at our meet prior to sitting. Then when she watched our two cats for a few days, I received photos, updates about everything (any messes, demeanor of my babies that visit, etc) and she used Rover Card promptly after each visit. Truthfully I did not even know what Rover Card was because previous sitters had not used it! I highly recommend Olivia (but hate to admit that in fear that she will get booked up!). We will be requesting her services again next time. Thanks Olivia :)

About: Volunteered for a number of different dog charities before working in rescue and now working as a Dog Trainer. I have dog sat for friends and have thoroughly enjoyed doing so. I currently work Monday to Friday, 9-5. I am looking to do mainly at your home dog sitting on the weekends with some week evenings able to be covered. I will try to be as flexible as I can with each owner. When in an owner's home, I ensure the dog is comfortable and happy at all times and try to follow the routine you have with your pet already to minimise the stress on your dog. Your dog's wellbeing is my priority when dog sitting and dog walking.

About: I grew up with dogs in the home, even spent a few years on farmland, so I have experience with dogs ranging from a chihuahua or jack russell all the way up to big huskies and labradours. Having grown up with them I'd like to say my intuition is good when it comes to dogs, In particular I'm good at correcting little things like pulling too hard on a walk, or being too boisterous when playing. But my main concern is actually just to make sure the dogs have a good time, my view of it is I'll correct them if they do something wrong but ultimately I'm not here to be a dictator to them either. I'm also quite calm and patient, so if there is a dog who has troubling behaviour at times, I'm happy to work with that. Not currently working, my dream job is actually to be a teacher, I have 4 going on 5 years experience working with kids, but obviously its not always easy to get a non temporary job in that industry at my age. I'm relatively free, but I like to have a good idea of when I'm doing X thing. I'm happy to work around your own schedule if anything changes, within reason. If something important comes up, no worries, or if you give me an hour or twos notice, thats also fine. I do travel on a bike though, and when discussing availability I will have to factor that in. Unfortunately I live in a flat so I wont be doing any pet care in my home. I have done pet care at the owners home before, so i have experience. I'm happy to take on board anything the owner wants of me while I'm in their home, and I always do what I can to leave the house/garden the way I found it

Ok so we have tried this for the 1st tine so we can have a weekend away. I was so apprehensive and concerned as Dave is a very boisterous boy but Wow ? Dave never relaxes around people but with Stef he was so different. He took to Steph straight away which in itself is rare and he was playing with her and generally being the happy dog he is. ? it has been amazing to watch and now I have no concerns with Steph staying overnight with Dave when we go away ??

About: I've had dogs by my side for as long as I can remember, so caring for animals feels second nature to me. From daily walks and playtime to understanding the little quirks that make each pet unique, I know what it takes to keep a dog happy, active, and comfortable. Alongside my own experience raising dogs, I've spent years cat and dog sitting for friends and family, which means I'm just as comfortable with a laid-back cat who wants quiet company as I am with a high-energy pup who needs a good run. I treat every pet in my care like my own — with patience, attention, and genuine affection. Because I work remotely, pet care fits naturally into my day rather than being squeezed around a commute or office hours. I'm home most of the day, so dogs get regular walk and bathroom breaks between tasks, and cats get consistent company instead of being left alone for long hours. I build in short breaks throughout the day for feeding, playtime, and check-ins, and I'm able to keep a close eye on any pet in my care without rushing. I care for dogs in my home through boarding, and for both cats and dogs through house sitting and drop-in visits in your home. Since I work remotely, I'm home for most of the day, so dogs in my care get regular walks, playtime, and a comfortable place to rest rather than being left alone for long stretches. My home also has a large, secure fenced garden, so dogs have plenty of safe space to run around and burn off energy off-lead. For house sitting and drop-in visits, I keep things calm and unrushed — feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning for cats or a walk for dogs, and plenty of time for affection, with visits scheduled regularly throughout the day to keep your pet's routine consistent. Across every service, I follow your pet's existing routine as closely as possible, from feeding times to any medication needs, so they feel comfortable and secure while you're away.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
