“This was Baileys 7th or 8th stay with Martine and Alex. As always we couldn’t have been happier knowing Bailey was in their extremely capable (and loving) hands. Martine is always great with communication and send lots of photos and updates which we love. It’s obvious they treat Bailey with so much love and care, as she is always excited when she realises where she is and quickly makes herself at home. On this occasion we had a last minute unavoidable change in our plans. This lead to requesting to extend the booking and although Martine and Alex had some other bookings in between they went above and beyond to assist in getting Bailey cared for. We couldn’t have been more appreciative as they took one thing off our plate when dealing with a lot of plan changes and organising ourselves. Knowing Bailey was in their hands relieved a lot of stress and worry at a difficult time. I just cannot recommend Martine & Alex highly enough. About: Dogs have always been a very special part of our lives. Our much-loved Golden Retriever, Blossom, was part of our family for 16 wonderful years. She was a huge part of our lives and brought us so much joy, companionship and love. Losing her left a very big dog-shaped hole in our lives. It was through our love of dogs that we first got into dog sitting, when we began looking after Mabel, a gorgeous Cockapoo, several days a week. We absolutely loved having her around, and when Mabel eventually moved to Ireland, we realised just how much we had enjoyed having a dog in our home again. About: I've grown up with dogs - we had three gorgeous labradors on my Grandad's farm when I was a toddler. I work from home and have a secure garden that has plenty of shade so it's always cool enough for dogs to find somewhere to have a snooze. I start the day having a long walk with my dog, then work remotely so will always be at home if dog-sitting. I often do a lunchtime walk if it's cool enough. Then, at the end of the day another long walk. I have a secure garden and a super friendly husky who gets on with everyone and their dog. The garden is well-shaded with trees overhanging and a gazebo.

For dog walking: After we exchange information about your dog and their specific walking needs: duration, behaviour, socialisation etc. I will come and meet your dog ensuring we are the right match. Then we will head out to explore and sniff! I will take photos and videos for you and give tell you all about how we are getting on. For pet sitting: After we exchange information about your dog/cat, your home and their specific needs: feeding, behaviour, walking etc. I will come and meet you and your dog/cat, to ensure we are a good match. Most likely we will start the day with a morning walk after breakfast. During the day I will most likely be studying in your home, with breaks for play-time, toileting and cuddles. I rarely will leave the house for more than max. 2hrs at a time to pop to the shops, to go to the gym, or for lectures. In the evening we will go on another walk, followed by dinner and settling in for the night. For cat drop-ins: I am available for once or twice daily visits (morning/evening) to ensure your cat's feeding schedule remains consistent. When I am a guest in your home, my priority is maintaining a stress-free, secure and loving environment for your pet. I follow your pets existing schedule, whether it's feeding times, a particular walking route or a no-sofa rule. About: I have grown up with two cats, looking after them and being close with them my whole life; alongside this I have spent time volunteering in a cattery, cleaning up after cats, caring for them, feeding them and creating a positive environment. I have also spent time looking after family and friends dogs, taking them on walks and building a loving, close relationship with them. About: As well as having my own dogs, I volunteered for the Assistant Dogs Charity ‘Dogs for Good” as a boarder. These beautiful dogs came to stay for 1 week or for up to 3 months, depending on circumstances. We ended up adopting one of them, Harley, who was a joy. I also volunteered for The Dogs Trust. Duties included walking, brushing, cuddling, feeding. This has given me experience with pretty much every breed and every Heinz 59 of all ages. I am self employed as a dog cartoonist. So where I draw is irrelevant! So when your dog(s) are having a snooze, I will quietly get on with my drawings. Just as I did when looking after the many Dogs for Good labs, I will follow your instructions relating to your dog(s) health and safety, insuring their routine doesn’t go off course.
About: I’ve had experience with dogs of all sizes and breeds. I did grooming for guide dogs and completed my level 2 and 3 in dog grooming. I’ve had a love for animals my entire life and owned many different types of animals. I have my own dog Mia and she’s a chiweenie (chihuahua x dachshund) and she loves other dogs. About: Dog lover from a very young age in a dog mad family! We've bred labradors for many years which has been a real passion, and given lots of experience with dogs of all ages. Experienced in training dogs and having worked in an animal hospital, I'm experienced in first aid/medication. As an animal lover, my Labrador (Loki) and I love spending our time outside walking, playing and going for walks/rides with my horse. Loki is a lovely gentle Labrador who loves making friends but also knows when to give his new friends space. I live on a private farm which is set off any main roads and I have a private gated garden which is secure and has lovely views over the fields. A doggy swimming pool is available in the hot summer months, as well as an indoor heated shower room ready for winter showers to get those mucky paws clean! I work from home full time and am able to be around to fit in with your dogs normal routines to ensure they have as smooth a 'doggy holiday' as possible. I have a fenced garden and a gentle Labrador to keep your dog/s company. I have a doggy swimming pool for the hotter months and a warm indoor shower for any showers which may be needed for mucky paws. A doggy toy box is available to be used and dogs are treated as my own.

For energetic dogs, I’m happy to provide plenty of exercise, play and mental stimulation to keep them occupied. I’ll care for your pets as if they were my own, keep your home safe and well looked after, and ensure you return to happy pets and a home exactly as you left it. “This was Baileys 7th or 8th stay with Martine and Alex. As always we couldn’t have been happier knowing Bailey was in their extremely capable (and loving) hands. Martine is always great with communication and send lots of photos and updates which we love. It’s obvious they treat Bailey with so much love and care, as she is always excited when she realises where she is and quickly makes herself at home. On this occasion we had a last minute unavoidable change in our plans. This lead to requesting to extend the booking and although Martine and Alex had some other bookings in between they went above and beyond to assist in getting Bailey cared for. We couldn’t have been more appreciative as they took one thing off our plate when dealing with a lot of plan changes and organising ourselves. Knowing Bailey was in their hands relieved a lot of stress and worry at a difficult time. I just cannot recommend Martine & Alex highly enough. We often talk about how lucky we are to have found in them, the absolute best match for our Bailey girl.”
