“Yan and her husband were amazing and most accommodating--they came and picked up Campbell and were very patient with her when she didn't exactly want to go! And then they brought her back to the pub where we were after the play. Great great experience! Will use them again--which is much higher of a compliment than anything we can say in a review!”

“I booked Chloe at short notice after another arrangement fell through, and from her first message I knew Yoji would be in safe hands as she asked all the right questions. I received regular photos and videos, and came home to a very happy, tired pup. I’d happily book with Chloe again.”

“We were very apprehensive about leaving our 3 month old puppy but due to prior commitments we decided to give it a try with Cath - so pleased we did! Our pup had a great time and had the opportunity to socialise with Cath's and others dogs and came back after very happy. Cath sent through updates and pictures each day too. Would definitely recommend Cath and will be looking to book again.”

“Luna was incredibly well looked after during her stay, Ka Lam went above and beyond to make sure Luna was comfortable in the heat and whilst she wasn’t feeling herself. Communication was excellent. Thank you for taking such good care of her.”

About: I've always loved dogs! We lost our beloved dog Henry at Christmas and my home feels a little quiet. I would love to care for your furry friend. I will ensure they get plenty of fresh air as I live opposite a green space, centrally located with lots of choice of parks to visit for playtime. Offering countless cuddles and the dedicated attention they deserve when they're away. I have a flexible work schedule and can work from home. I have support of my adult daughter, between us we are fully committed to a dog's needs. I have a bright, airy apartment with a large green space on our doorstep. I am used to taking a dog out regularly as part of my daily routine. A secure environment and safe space is essential when caring for dogs. I am more than happy to set up a crate if it is part of your dog's routine. My priority is to ensure your dog feels at ease, cared for and loved.
“Beverley was absolutely fantastic! She took great care of our Corgi, Boris for two weeks while we were on holiday. Boris has made a new friend in Evvie and Ralph. Beverley sent frequent updates including photos which was really appreciated. Boris was in Beverley’s care over New Year, in preparation for this Beverley took him to a secure field so he could run around with Evvie and Ralph - this worked a treat and he slept through the evening! I even had to message Beverley last minute to see if she could have Boris for an extra night, thankfully she agreed - a real life saver. Boris will definitely book another stay with Beverley on the not so distant future! Thank you! ❤️”

“Winnie had a great time with Martine and Alex! They kept us updated with photos and videos which kept my mind at ease. And we’re super accommodating! Already rebooked them for next month!”

Lovely family fussing her.I appreciate Carla’s confidence and warmth with dogs, photos and flexibility to do early mornings. Will definitely be dropping Bean with her again”
“Willow enjoyed another weekend stay with Deborah and Kobi. As always, she had a lovely time with Kobi, and Deborah kept me up to date with text messages and photos. A great service, thank you.”

Willow spent a lovely weekend with Deborah and Paul, who kept her safe and comfortable during the heatwave. Willow loved spending time with Deborah’s two dogs and they all got along really well. I always have complete faith that Willow is in safe and competent hands with Deborah. Thank you.

Yan and her husband were amazing and most accommodating--they came and picked up Campbell and were very patient with her when she didn't exactly want to go! And then they brought her back to the pub where we were after the play. Great great experience! Will use them again--which is much higher of a compliment than anything we can say in a review!

I can’t recommend Emma highly enough, this was my dog Winston’s second stay with her and it was so lovely she see how keen he was to go into her house. Emma was great at keeping us updated with lots of lovely photos and videos which all showed that Winston was calm and happy. It was so nice being able to go away without worrying about whether Winston was happy and taken care of, thank you!

Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
