About: Hello! My name is Patrycja and together with my partner we are caring and experienced dog owners with a lovely 4-year-old neutered dog called Lily. We understand how important it is to leave your dog with someone trustworthy, loving, and responsible. We offer a calm, safe, and cosy home for small dogs, where your pet will receive plenty of attention, care, and love. We have experience looking after dogs and we are comfortable giving medication if needed. What makes our service special: • We only take care of 1 dog at a time alongside our own dog Lily • Your dog will never be part of a large group or crowded environment • Meet & greet available before any booking, so you and your dog can meet us • Dogs are allowed on the sofa/bed and treated like part of the family • Fully fenced and secure garden for safe outdoor time • Smoke free home • No children in the home, providing a calm and peaceful environment • Plenty of supervision, cuddles, playtime, and regular walks • Regular updates and photos sent to owners for peace of mind Our goal is to make your dog feel safe, relaxed, and happy while you are away. Feel free to message us with any questions - we’d love to meet you and your furry child! As I work from home, your dog will have company, care, and regular attention all day. Your dog will receive lots of cuddles and love, and they’re welcome to relax on the sofa and sleep with us if that’s what they’re used to at home. I have a secure fenced garden and live in a lovely, quiet neighbourhood with plenty of great places for dog walks. I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.

About: I have been a dog owner my whole adult life. My last dog lived to be 17 and my latest life angel Daisy, was a rescue at 12 months old. Taking on a rescue was harder work than I imagined but it is so worth the tough start. Daisy is now a well rounded, obedient loving dog that adores her little life now. She loves other doggies and so being a dog sitter will enhance her life and mine even more. I have a lot of time and love to give to your treasured friends. I have recently retired so I am at home all day after from those necessary trips out which don't take long. I am around all the time to look after your treasured angels I will take the time to understand your dog's feeding schedule, walking routine, exercise needs, and any special instructions before the booking starts. When caring for pets in my home, I make sure the environment is safe, calm, and dog-friendly with no hazards. I supervise pets carefully, make sure they get enough exercise and stimulation, and give them a comfortable place to rest. My priority is always making sure pets feel secure, cared for, and treated with the same patience and attention they would get from their owners. I am happy to send photographs throughout your pets stay with me.
“Daryl and Becky did an excellent job of looking after our greyhound, Al, last weekend. They went above and beyond to make him feel at home and sent us lots of updates so we felt comfortable. They're lovely, trustworthy people and we feel confident leaving our baby in their care 😊”

About: You can include that preference naturally in your Rover description: “I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs in my home, providing a safe, loving, and comfortable environment where they are treated like family. I specialize in caring for small dogs, particularly Shih Tzus, and understand their unique needs, personalities, and routines. During their stay, I provide plenty of attention, affection, playtime, and regular walks to ensure they feel happy and secure. I prefer to board small breeds only, allowing me to give each dog the individual care and attention they deserve. My goal is to provide a calm, home-from-home experience and complete peace of mind for pet owners while they’re away.” “Pet care fits well into my routine as I enjoy spending time outdoors and going for walks. I offer boarding on weekends and during school holidays, giving dogs plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship in a safe, loving home environment.” I have a secure fenced garden and my own fur baby who is kind and gentle to keep yours company. I love dogs and will take care of yours and treat them as if they were my own.

“Michelle took great care of Ralph during the June heatwave, she was really considerate of his needs during the hot weather which meant I didn’t have to worry about him while I was away! Michelle also sent loads of puppy updates on how Ralph was and he had the best time, thank you so much! 😊”

“We left our Spaniel with Ian as we were on holiday, it was the first time we’ve left him and we were very anxious. Ian and his family kept us updated on how he was doing and sent us some photos. They are an experienced dog family, especially with Spaniels and Barney settled in well. I would definitely leave Barney with Ian and his family again. Thank you 🙏”

About: I’ve taken care of a range of different animals since the age of 4. This has included my own animals, my family pets and my friends pets. Animals have always been my main priority and my career follows my passion for them. I work as a care assistant for a large veterinary hospital where caring for animals is the heart of the job. My aim as a pet sitter is to provide in-home care on a daily basis and always interact with clients to communicate concerns regarding their pets and to keep them updated while they aren't around. My responsibilities include daily walks, overnight care, daily drop ins, cage clean out/ litter box clean out, dog walking during the visit and administer of basic oral medications if this is required. I work full time at a veterinary hospital however my shifts vary. They work on a 2 week rotation of 7-3pm and 10-6pm. There will always be time to do drop ins and if I house sit, I will be there for your animal in the morning, evening and through the night. I work to the routine of the animal. I believe that an animals routine should not be changed as this will cause unnecessary stress, so whatever your pet needs I will work with to ensure the pet is happy and has a limited amount of stress.
“This is the third time we’ve left Saffi with David. Would always be my first choice of dog sitter. Saffi doesn’t want to come home at the end of the booking - think she’d be happy to move in permanently! We’ve got a week away in May and it’s so reassuring to know that Saffi is going to be well cared for and that I don’t need to worry about her while I’m away. Would highly recommend.”

“Boba and Jango really enjoyed their stay with Maddie and her family ❤️ Despite a couple of issues early on Maddie worked tirelessly to ensure that they were settled in as quickly as possible to help us relax while we were away. This is the first time we have left them for this period of time and would highly recommend Maddie and her family without any hesitation.”

Would highly recommend Demi. She was very welcoming upon arrival and showing round the house and advising how she decompress Luna and get her settled in. Sent regular updates including photos/videos whilst we were away. And when picking Luna up advised how she was and how she settled in very quickly, which would could tell from the photos shared, as well as how happy Luna was after the stay. Will definitely use Demi again for any future stays.

We needed a sitter for our 2 dogs very last min and we found Greg & Sophie. Last min they arranged a meet and greet and we’ve never had a sitter before, so was anxious but they made the process so easy and simple and kept us updated throughout. I would highly recommend them❤️ The pups had a great time and were so looked after. Couldn’t thank them enough

Adam and his family were very accommodating with our cocker spaniel. They have a dog of their own and Oakley got on well with him. He sent pictures and updates which was very reassuring whilst we were away for a long weekend. I felt very comfortable and confident leaving Oakley with him and his family. Thank you for taking our much loved dog into your home.

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.
When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:
- Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
- Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
- Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates
Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
