“Poppy was a 10/10 dog sitter for my 2 old boys! She provided a great service with good communication throughout the day and night, and even bought cute treats for my boys and me 💗 I came back to a clean house and happy dogs, would 100% recommend. Thankyou so much x”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters 💛 Lifelong love & experience — I grew up with dogs my whole life, so caring for them isn’t just a job, it’s second nature. I know their little ways, what makes them happy, and how to keep them calm and content. 🐶 I’m a dog parent too! — I have my own French Bulldog, Lila, so I understand exactly how precious your fur baby is to you. I treat every dog in my care with the same love, patience, and attention I give Lila. 🏠 Care in YOUR home — I only offer care in your home, so your dog stays happy, safe, and stress-free in their own familiar space — no new environments, no kennels, no disruption to their routine. 📅 Flexible & reliable — I’m available 3 days a week for short breaks, giving you consistent, dependable care when you need it most. ❤️ Personal, attentive care — I don’t rush visits or split my time between multiple homes. Your dog gets my full focus, plenty of fuss, and routine kept exactly as you’d do it yourself. In short: I don’t just look after dogs — I love them like family, because I know exactly how much they mean to you. Pet care fits perfectly into my routine — I can dedicate 3 days a week to help with short breaks and visits, so I’m flexible and reliable when you need me most. It’s also something that feels completely natural to me: I have my own French Bulldog, and I grew up surrounded by dogs my whole life, so looking after pets isn’t just a service — it’s second nature. Dogs are part of my daily life already, so fitting in walks, check-ins, or overnight stays feels easy and enjoyable, not like an extra task. I understand their needs, habits, and little quirks from years of experience, which means your dog will get consistent, loving care that fits right in with my regular routine. How I care for your pet in your home I offer house sitting and drop-in visits in your home only — this is because I have my own beloved French Bulldog, Lila, who is my whole world! Keeping your pet in their own familiar surroundings means no stress from new environments, and also keeps Lila safe and settled at home too. When caring for your dog in your home, I give them the same loving, attentive care I’d want for my own: ✅ Sticking to their routine — feeding, walks, and bedtime exactly as you do, so they feel secure ✅ Plenty of love & play — lots of attention, gentle play, and fuss to keep them happy ✅ Full home security — I stay overnight to keep your dog company and look after your property too ✅ Regular updates — I can send you photos and little updates so you know they’re doing great ✅ Fully experienced — growing up with dogs my whole life and raising Lila means I understand their needs, little quirks, and how to keep them calm and content Your dog gets all the comfort of their own home, plus constant, caring attention — the very best of both worlds.
“Kim was absolutely great with my two mini dachshunds and they were very happy in my return. She even went out of her way to take them in her car twice in day to walk them at the local park because they don’t like walking from home. Highly recommended.”

“Can't recommend Tegan highly enough (although I don't want her getting so booked up that she's too busy to help me again in the future ha ha!) So fortunate to have found such a lovely and kind lady to house-sit and I will definitely be re-booking!!”

About: I have over 16 years of experience caring for dogs, having had a dog of my own since I was around 10 years old. I regularly care for my family dog and my sister’s giant-breed dog, so I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I also frequently look after dogs in my local neighbourhood, ranging from Miniature Schnauzers to Labradors. Alongside my experience with dogs, I have two cats of my own who I have cared for for the past year and a half. This has given me experience with both dogs and cats and a good understanding of how to provide patient, attentive and individual care for different pets. I am reliable, caring and attentive, and I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable and happy while their owners are away. I’m happy to follow each pet’s usual routine, including feeding, playtime, walks and plenty of attention and affection. I currently work as a supply teacher, which gives me a flexible schedule. I am generally available on weekdays from around 3–4pm onwards, as well as throughout weekends. I also have good availability during school half terms, unless I have a holiday planned. I’m happy to discuss specific dates and times to find a schedule that works best for you and your pet. I provide attentive and reliable care tailored to each pet’s individual needs and routine. I will make sure your pet has fresh food and water, regular toilet breaks, playtime, exercise and plenty of attention. I will also keep their environment clean and comfortable, including cleaning litter trays where needed, and will monitor their behaviour and wellbeing throughout each visit. I’m happy to follow any specific instructions or routines you provide.
“Ben looked after our boy on an incredibly hot and uncomfortable day, and with Ozzy being an American Akita he really struggles in this environment. We found that Ben looked after all of Ozzy’s needs during the period of his dog sit, and Ozzy seemed to really like Ben and was comfortable with him from their initial meet and greet :-) Ben is able to walk Ozzy (55kg) without any issues and was very respectful of our property - everything was left as it was when we left the house. This was our first time using Rover (and any kind of dog sitting service in general), and we are SO happy that we found Ben. We look forwards to seeing Ben again in a little over a week when we go on holiday and I will certainly be recommending him to local family and friends.”

About: I have experience of walking and boarding different small dogs and I have a real love for dogs so I will make sure they are happy and cared for when they are with me. I am a primary school teacher who works part-time in the week, so I have availability to look after dogs from Friday evening and all weekend in school time, however I am available all week and weekends during most school holidays. I have walked and boarded a few dogs and I absolutely love being around dogs and playing with them! I will keep to the routines and schedules that the owner has for their dog and try to mimic this when they are with me. I have a small garden that is fenced and secure where they can run around and have lots of places to walk with dogs near to me that have big open spaces to run around and play.
“George and Sophie looked after our cockapoo Barney recently and I must say they were both so friendly and caring . They welcomed Barney into their home and took the time to find out his usual routine . Barney is quite a nervous dog and they made him feel at ease. George kept us updated throughout his stay and provided us with photos which reassured us . We will definitely be asking George and Sophie to care for Barney again and would highly recommend .”

“Coco had a great time with Laura! Laura was great at keeping me updated, and was really understanding and accommodating when our travel plans changed slightly last minute. We’d definitely recommend her and will be sure to book with Laura again 😊”

About: I have always loved animals and been around them since I was a little girl. We have all sorts from gerbils, guinea pigs, rabbits, cats and dogs. When I was 13 I worked on a farm with the ponies and horses and loved being around the animals on the farm. I also did my work experience at school in a Kennels and Cattery and loved it. When I left school I began working in an office and then family life happened, and never continued to my dream job of working with animals. So here I am pursuing a passion of mine of working with animals, after taking over from a cleaner we had whilst I had surgery, I began cat sitting for a couple who needed there cats cared for while I was looking for work. Turned out I used to work with Sam and for last few years I have gone and cared for there two cats Tia and Mitz. I don't currently have any cats but was brought up around them. We have two small dogs and we love them very much. I have completed a Canine First Aid course with Solihull college too so can help out if there are any accidents. Reference available on request from my clients I cat sit for.

“A lovely experience with Ellen house-sitting our three rescue dogs. She had calm, friendly energy around them when she came to meet them beforehand, which they all responded to brilliantly, so I was reassured from the start. Ellen sent photos while she was with them and asked questions when she wasn’t sure about their feeding choices, which I appreciated. She even watered our plants and changed the bedding for the person coming in after her! Highly recommend.”

“Kerry was incredible with our two beagles! If you know the breed, they are pretty full on but she was totally amazing with them. It’s the first time we’ve left them with a sitter & we couldn’t be more grateful for the care & support they received from Kerry. Ruby, 4 years old, has a health condition that flares up at times & Shelby is only 4 months old, so Kerry had her hands full but we got constant updates, the cutest pictures and came back to happy doggos. We will definitely be asking her to sit the girls again!”

I’m 25 and regularly look after my best friend’s one-year-old Cocker Spaniel, so I’m comfortable caring for dogs with different personalities, ages and energy levels. I’m reliable, patient and genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs, whether that’s going for walks, playing, giving them plenty of attention or simply keeping them company. I live independently in a cottage with a secure garden and plenty of opportunities for walks nearby. I’d love to provide your dog with a safe, relaxed and loving home-from-home while you’re away. As I live alone, your dog will have my full attention and won’t have to compete with other pets or a busy household! I work full-time during the week, so my availability is focused around my days off. I’m available for daytime care throughout Mondays and from Saturday afternoon onwards. I can also offer overnight boarding on Saturday or Sunday nights. I’m happy to discuss specific dates and routines with owners in advance to make sure I can give your dog the care and attention they need. Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Redditch
Ben was wonderful with our nervous rescue dog Mindy. She usually takes a long time to come around to new people but she was letting Ben stroke her by the end of the day! Ben is an excellent and professional communicator, and was very keen to understand Mindy and her needs. I would highly recommend Ben’s services.

Kimberley helped us out when I messed up the ending of a house sit whilst we were still on holiday. She responded quickly to my request and arranged to go to our house and look after our dog and cat for 24 hours until we got back from holiday. She communicated quickly and clearly and really helped us out. She is an absolute star and I can't recommend her highly enough.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Redditch walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Redditch choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
