My online university early years course is completely flexible, allowing me to study from anywhere. I only need 3 hours on busy days, leaving me fully available at any time for pet sitting, dog walking, and most weekends. I keep pets happy by maintaining feeding schedules, ensuring frequent toilet breaks, and providing mental stimulation. Energetic dogs get extra walks, while senior pets receive dedicated comfort and precise medical care. My focus is keeping your dogs and cats safe, comfortable, and content while you are away.

I’ve also always owned dogs myself and previously walked dogs whilst living in Australia. I’m confident handling energetic, nervous, and challenging dogs, and I focus on keeping every dog safe, comfortable, and happy while in my care. I work part-time, so I have plenty of time for walks, playtime, and cuddles. I’m available Monday through Sunday and can be flexible. I care for pets in their own home by following their usual routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, cuddles, and any special instructions from owners. I make sure they feel comfortable, safe and loved whilst keeping the home clean, tidy and treated with the same respect as my own.

I have hands-on experience with both dogs and cats, including larger and more energetic breeds. I take a patient, attentive approach, which helps dogs settle quickly and feel comfortable. I follow each pet’s routine closely — whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, playtime, or simply keeping them company — so everything stays familiar and stress-free. I also provide regular updates and photos, so you always know how your pet is doing. I specialize in house sitting and drop-in visits, offering dependable care and peace of mind while you’re away. Based in Birmingham and happy to travel across the area. I specialise in calm, reliable house sitting so owners can travel knowing their home and pets are cared for properly. I stay overnight and keep pets in their normal routine, which helps reduce anxiety and behavioural changes while you are away. I’m comfortable administering basic medications, maintaining feeding schedules, daily walks, litter care and keeping the home clean and secure. I send regular updates and photos, but I also understand many owners simply want peace of mind — someone dependable present in the home, keeping everything normal until you return. I’m especially suited for longer stays and holidays When caring for pets in their home I respect both the animal and the owner’s space. I carefully follow feeding instructions, walking routes, medication schedules and house rules. I keep doors secure, ensure pets are safe on walks and provide regular photo updates so owners know their pet is comfortable and relaxed while they are away.

Charlie was absolutely fabulous, she came and met the dogs ahead of time and gave us daily updates which was amazing. Our dogs were super happy and relaxed with her. You wouldn't have even known Charlie was in the house it so tidy when she left! We couldn't recommend her highly enough and we've already told all our friends. Amber looked after our 11 week old puppy who is very much still finding his feet and learning the ropes. She was kind & patient with him and continued the behaviour strategies we have been putting in place to ensure it was consistent while we weren’t here. Lots of photos during the day which was so reassuring. Would definitely recommend, thank you so much.

About: Hi, I’m Justine! I’ve loved animals since I was young and grew up with both cats and dogs. We had two cats, Boots and Lola, who made me realise how lovely (and very individual!) cats can be. We also had two Labradors — Fred and Lucky. Fred (our black Lab) used to follow me to school, so my mum would get phone calls to come and pick him up. When he passed, my whole class actually cried because everyone had got to know him from his little “school visits.” Lucky (our yellow Lab) was named after Luciano Pavarotti — “Lucky” for short, as my mum worked for the Australian Opera. He was a bit of a character… once he escaped and came back spray painted, and another time we found out the local nuns had been feeding him and had renamed him Bozo. Over the years I’ve also done quite a bit of cat sitting, looking after cats with all sorts of personalities. I don’t have any pets of my own at the moment, so I really enjoy looking after other people’s pets and treat them like my own. I’m home most of the week — Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday — so I can give pets plenty of time and attention. I don’t have any pets at home at the moment, which means I can focus fully on the pets I’m caring for. I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and settled, whether they’re in my home or their own. I follow the owner’s routine as closely as possible — including feeding times, walks, and any specific instructions.

Haleema truly went out of her way to board our 2 cats and give them the best care and love Our cat Kai is very very scared of new people as we were away for a week Haleema had no issues coming to our house to meet Kai multiple times so he wouldn’t feel scared leaving him loving her more than his own family (lol) She sent videos and pictures every day and both our cats felt relaxed and there was plenty of purring and treats We would 100% recommend Haleema as a cat sitter for your furry friend xxx

Charlie looked after our dog Boycie for 5 days and he clearly had an amazing time and was treated like one of the family. We had regular photo updates and we were able to enjoy our holiday knowing he was being well cared for. I will 100% rebook with Charlie in the future and I’m sure Boycie would love to go back and play with his pal ! Great communication both before and during the booking. Would definitely recommend! Thanks so much!

It was our first time using Amber and we honestly couldn’t recommend her more. She was absolutely fab with Blue, sent us loads of updates throughout, and completely put our minds at ease while we were away. It was clear Blue loved her and was so well looked after. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!

Thank you so much Rachel for looking after Stella and keeping her so comfortable. Rachel is experienced with reactive dogs which meant she was able to calm Stella quickly and give her lots of fuss while we went out. We really appreciate your help at a short notice. Would 100% recommend Rachel to anyone 🥰

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 1,450 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Solihull. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Solihull walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Solihull choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
