“Absolute pleasure leaving out Harley with Pratik and his family. Harley had a blast, communication and photos were amazing and most of all we felt happy and reassured that Harley would be happy, content, safe and looked after. The fact he was spoilt and played was just the icing on the cake. Thank you again, Harley can’t wait to come back and visit you all again.”

“Qiao and her partner were absolutely lovely with Celine. They took great care of her and made sure she felt comfortable and happy while we were away. It’s clear they genuinely love dogs, and Celine seemed very relaxed and well looked after. I’d happily recommend them and would definitely book with them again!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs for my relatives although never owned one myself, would love to once my little ones (5 and 2) are a bit grown up! I’ve owned cats for as long as I can remember. I can play with pets, feed, change litter trays and walk dogs! I work remotely at home hence available to care for dogs all days of the week. I can dog walk during the week and weekends. I have a huge garden and plenty of space in my house, dogs can play in my garden under supervision. Cats would love the coziness of my home.
“Gemma was our first dog sitter with Rover and I was really pleased with how it went. She kept me informed about how Willow was settling in and took her for a walk. She also sent me photos. Willow spent a day and night with Gemma with no issues. I would recommend Gemma and her family as a sitter! Thanks so much :)”

“Perfect, 1000%, Gold stars!!!! Beatrice was so good with my Humphrey and at short notice accommodated us. Her little Celine was also very welcoming and made Humphrey settle very quickly that he didn’t even notice when I left. He was taken on long walks and given so many cuddles so he felt right at home, The garden is secure and house is perfect for little furry friends. I had video updates and pics throughout the day which meant the world to me, and meant I could enjoy myself whilst I was away. Thank you so much. Angel xx”

“We had such a great experience with Pradhayini. She was responsive and gave her attention to make sure she understood Cookie’s like quirks and made every effort to follow his daily routine. Cookie was the most relaxed I have seen him after time away from home. We had updates as to how Cookie was doing and pictures which we very much wanted and appreciated. Cookie had a great time. We would have no hesitation in leaving Cookie with her again.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and have had a beloved West Highland Terrier (Westie) in my family for the past 13 years. Caring for my own dog has taught me the importance of patience, routine, exercise, and giving pets the love and attention they deserve. I’m reliable, responsible, and will treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, or simply keeping them company, I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I recently graduated from university and currently have a very flexible schedule, allowing me to provide pet care throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends. I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine to ensure they receive consistent care, attention, and plenty of love. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I’ll carefully follow your instructions and stick to your pet’s usual routine to help them feel relaxed while you’re away. Whether I’m taking them for a walk, stopping by for a visit, or looking after them in my own home, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I also have a secure, fenced garden at home with plenty of space for dogs to play. My own Westie loves it!
“Amber is a great dog sitter, we highly recommend her service and will be booking in with her again. Her communication was great, she was flexible with timings, she provided loads of great photos and videos of how happy and comfortable Stanley was in her home throughout the stay.”

About: Hi, I am a avid pet lover with plenty of experience taking care of all types of dogs from small to large breeds at any age. Often helping friends of my own, I enjoy having a companion while working from home and ensuring I have an excuse to leave the house to give the dogs a walk around our local parks. I have dealt with puppies who require close attention during potty training through to elderly dogs requiring regular medication. I work full time from home but extremely flexible with my hours. I am able to work to any dogs schedule to ensure they are given the priority. I have two extremely friendly dogs that love company and share toys as well as a fully fenced garden and live in close proximity to various local parks. Dogs are treated as my own and allowed access to all areas of my home and the furniture
“Miah was a wonderful dog sitter and took great care of Otis whilst he stayed with her. She took time to ask questions about his routine and likes and dislikes, sent some great photos, did a long walk with him and he clearly had a great time! We'll definitely be using her again.”

“Charlie loved his day at doggy day care, I was sent videos and photos throughout the day to keep me updated on how he was getting on. Charlie was comfortable with Jane as soon as I left him. Definitely recommend and will be using her again”

About: I’ve owned dogs all my life and due to my beloved fur baby passing away in 2024 I’ve not been able to face having a new baby of my own yet so I’ve joined rover to help out other dog parents whilst I have the available time. Your dog will be loved as if they were my own and with me being a stay at home mom I have all the time to look after, play with and give all the fuss to your doggy. Dogs will have access to my garden throughout there full stay and if going home visits I’ll ensure your baby gets lots of playtime to really tire them out until you get home! I currently work between 4-6am so I have all day free to give all my time to your dog! I go on a daily walk to the park with my 2 year old son so your dog will get plenty of exercise I just ask that they are lead trained. If your dog is staying with me and my son they must be okay around small children as he is 2- he is brilliant with dogs as they are all he has known and respects boundaries as my parents own a chow chow. I have a house in the heart of Solihull town centre with a grassed fenced off garden, I get up at 5am each morning and from then your fur baby will have access to the garden to come in and out as they please. I do have a 2 year old who is brilliant with dogs as my parents have a chow chow so he really understands boundaries but a dog used to being around small children is essential in habit your dog stay with us. We go on a walk each day to the local park so your dog must be lead trained. If attending house visits i will have my child worn me so again please ensure you let me know if your dog is not okay with small Children as i will need to arrange childcare.

“Charlotte looked after our three and a half month old pup for the day whilst we had to work. It was his first day away from home so we were a little nervous. Pleased to say Toby seems to have had a great day and didn’t want to leave. Would highly recommend Charlotte and her partner!”

Tatiana took wonderful care of Pepper and was incredibly attentive. We had only adopted Pepper a week earlier, so we were quite nervous, but she gave us detailed feedback that was really helpful and helped us understand Pepper better. I would highly recommend Tatiana to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter!

Joy is an absolute gem! Our pup took to her instantly and was so well cared for… so much so that he didn’t want to leave! She kept his routine, sent regular photo updates, and handled last-minute changes without any fuss. Her communication was excellent and he came home happy, stimulated, and utterly content. We’ll 100% be booking again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Joy to anyone looking for great care for their pet! She and her family are also just really lovely.

Barbara has consistently been staying with Eddison and Tekeshia for a while now, for play days and some sleep over, it's become a home from home for her she's well taken care of .Tekeshia goes the extra mile to make sure shes happy and makes some great food recommendations for our fussy cockerpoo. Couldnt ask for a better place I feel totally comfortable and never worry about my little doggo!

Dakota had a great first daycare and with Abbie, she took Dakota out on some nice long walks and updated me with some great pictures. Fast responses when i messaged so i felt comfortable while away for the day and i would recommend Abbie if you're looking for a reliable dog sitter.

Eleanor and Josh were amazing with Nina. Very loving, patient and empathetic. I could see how calm she was when I picked her up wiggling her tail and getting treats from Josh. I also really appreciated all the pics and messages they sent me throughout the day. 5 stars and highly recommend them ♥️

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
