“Tahra was a super sitter - very patient with our sensitive soul who takes a wee while to settle into a new place. Lots of sofa cuddles and natural treats were offered to our hound and the property has a high secure garden - great for big sighthounds that can jump! Definitely recommend Tahra. Thank you ! 🙏”

“Millie has had two days with Steven and his family and received star treatment. She settled in really well and I could go to work knowing she was in excellent hands. I will definitely be using Steven again when he has availability and would recommend him to all friends and family.”

“We had excellent contact with Antonio & Patrycja including an introduction meeting prior to Lola spending the day with them. We also had regular updates throughout the day. We are really happy with how Lola was looked after and would definitely recommend booking them.”

“Sylvia was very welcoming to Ralph and very set up for dogs. She sent us photos of what they had been up to and had very good communication. We plan to use Sylwia again soon.”

About: I’ve been around dogs for as long as I can remember, and I’m also a proud dog owner myself. Taking care of dogs has always been something I genuinely enjoy — spending time with them, going for walks, playing together and simply keeping them company is something that helps me relax and makes me happy. For the past 5 years, I’ve been pet sitting for dogs and other pets around Birmingham, gaining experience with different breeds, personalities and routines. I understand that every dog is different, and I always try to make sure they feel safe, comfortable and cared for while they’re away from their owners. I’ve recently decided to make my Rover profile more active, as I’d love to spend more time with dogs and help other pet owners feel confident that their pets are in good hands. 🐶❤️ After dropping my daughter off at school each morning, I’m available throughout the day and have plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. Pet sitting and dog walking are my main activities during the day, so I can be flexible with my schedule and give each pet the attention, care and companionship they need. I live in a house with a secure, fully fenced garden, giving dogs a safe and enclosed outdoor space to enjoy. However, I usually care for dogs inside my home, where they can feel comfortable, relaxed and part of the family. I always follow each pet’s usual routine and any specific instructions from their owner, including feeding, walks, playtime and other individual needs. I understand how important it is to feel confident when leaving your pet with someone, so I take their safety and wellbeing very seriously. As a dog owner myself, I treat every dog in my care with the same love, patience and attention I would want for my own. 🐾
“Dottie had such a lovely afternoon and clearly had a great time! We felt completely confident she was in safe, caring hands, which meant we could enjoy our day out. We really appreciated the updates as well 😊”

About: I am a personal assistant, mostly working from home. I love what I do as I have two fur babies myself. Misiah is a rescue who is 14 years old and I have had Maya from birth for just over 10 years now. I know how hard it is to leave your furry companion behind but needs must and I would love to help!
“Yesi had a great time with Zoey and Pudding. Zoey is very caring, replies promptly, is on time and sends tons of pictures throughout the day. Highly recommend! ❤️ Would definitely use again!”

About: I have taken care of dogs for 20 year from my families to neighbours and other peoples from small dogs to large dogs. I absolutely love looking after dogs and if they get dirty I will even bath them to make them shine for the return. I am a stay at home mum two 1 but goes on losts of walks and park trips more out going on long walks out in the open I have fencing all round, lots of toys for them to play with so never get bored. I have a dog of my own. Ruby a cocker spaniel so will always have a fury friend to play with. Lots of space and lots of treats for good doggy's. And trips to the park and open field for plenty of excersise.
“Cece was really great at keeping us informed about Rupert while he was with her. She was very attentive and went the extra mile helping my mum when she collected him. Thanks so much!”

Lauren was so friendly and easygoing! Our booking was short notice but Lauren fit in a meet and greet a few days before. Sully absolutely loved playing with Archie and we received updates and pics. You can tell she cares about the dogs she looks after. Thanks Lauren and will definitely see you again!

I cannot recommend Tahra highly enough. My dog is very anxious, and this was the first time we had ever left her with someone she didn’t know, so naturally we were quite nervous. From the moment we met Tahra, we could see how calm and comfortable our dog was around her, which immediately put us at ease. We received updates very quickly, and it was clear that our dog had settled in and was happy and relaxed. Tahra is incredibly kind, caring and professional, and it’s obvious how much she genuinely loves animals. Finding someone you can completely trust with your pet is priceless, and we are so grateful to have found Tahra. Thank you again for taking such wonderful care of her!

My Howie is quite anxious and usually takes a little bit to warm to people, but within three minutes of meeting Emily he had his feet on her shoulder and was licking her ear! She was wonderful with him, looked after him on a very hot day, and he came home contented. I’ll absolutely use Emily again, she’s brilliant!

Lorren has such a warm and welcoming personality. Positive vibes all round, Ronnie took to her straight away. All that matters to me is that baby is comfortable and the sitter comfortable with Ronnie. There was continuous communication with updates. I will definitely be in touch with Lorren when needed and would recommend her 100%. Thank you Lorren xx

Our two doggos absolutely loved their day with Alberto and Kira. They came home and slept all evening. I will definitely be using Alberto for our regular dog sitting. After initially feeling anxious about leaving the dogs with another person, we immediately felt reassured that these guys would take good care of our dogs as soon as we walked in their very welcoming and loving home. They both have a new best friend in Kira and a home away from home. Thank you guys. See you soon!! 💗

Rachel was great looking after our 14 week old golden retriever puppy. She kept us updated throughout the day on his activities and feeding as well as sending us pictures and videos. This made us see and feel at ease with our first puppy daycare. Our puppy came home after enjoying a fun filled day, playing, napping and out to the park. Rachel was prepared with all the dog necessities and it always clear she is a dog lover and handles dogs really well. We definitely would use Rachel again and recommend her! Thank you Rachel!

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
