“Amazing. Thank you so much. You took so good care of my 2 dogs yesterday. They had so much fun with lots of cuddles and play. I had regular updates throughout the day to put my mind at ease that they were safe and happy. Would 100% recommend Tahra and will be using her again.”

About: Hi, We're Lauren & Mike! 🐾 Animals have always been a huge part of our lives and caring for them comes naturally to us. We have a combined 15 years of experience living and caring for dogs, from playful puppies to sweet senior pets who need a little extra patience. We're comfortable with daily walks, feeding, playtime, and giving plenty of love and attention. If needed, we can also handle, crate training, special diets, etc. We understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family members, so we treat every pet like our own — with kindness, respect, and lots of snuggles. Whether it’s a long walk, a cosy cuddle session, or just making sure your pet feels safe while you’re away, we've got you covered. We have a young Sprocker Spaniel called Archie who absolutely loves to play, so your best friend will be in very good company. We'd love the chance to meet your pet and give them the care they deserve! 💕 Mike works from home and I finish at 3:30pm on Thursday & Fridays. There will be someone here 24/7 while your pet is with us. We are available weekdays & weekends. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always our top priorities. When caring for pets in our home, we make sure the environment is clean, pet-friendly, and free from hazards. We keep a consistent routine with feeding, potty breaks, and playtime so pets feel secure and relaxed. If your pet stays with me, they’ll get plenty of supervised attention, a safe space to rest, and lots of love. We have plenty of space in our garden for your pet to get lots of exercise and we're a short walk from some lovely trails. We will treat them as if they were our own — with patience, affection, and safety always in mind.
“Maria and her lovely family took very good care of our Sunny. They were understanding that Sunny is still a puppy and has lots to learn. It was nice to know Sunny was in a safe loving home. We will definitely be booking again! :)”

About: Have spent the past 10 years or more around dogs of all sizes and breeds both within the family home and with friends dogs. Confident with bigger dogs who are a harder to handle. Ive trained my own dog various commands such as sit, wait, roll over and lie down. As my wife and I run a small business from home i’m able to look after your dog any times of the day. I’m very active too so happy to take your dog on walks and play with them as they need. Home is a safe environment with a large fenced and walled garden offering plenty of space for your dog to run and play. I do have a small furry friend of my own called Alfie who is great around other dogs. Your dog will also have access to our living/ dining room and kitchen as they please.
About: I am a very caring person that has been looking after animals for the majority of my life. From looking after my elderly dog, pet sitting for friends and family, as well as volunteering at animal shelters and taking care of the animals on my friends farm. I am also completely trained in animal first aid and CPR (Level 5) along with passing a IMDT Level 3 daycare and boarding course. My Animal Welfare License Number is .......49 I work from home so I am able to give your pets the undivided attention they deserve, by giving constant companionship as well as being able to provide them with long walks I keep pets well fed and watered throughout the day as well as giving them treats. Make sure that they go out to use the toilet regularly. Take them out daily for walks and runs on the park and through fields. Give them a bath if necessary or requested. Give them a warm bed and a blanket to sleep with if they are not wanting to sleep on the couch or bed (which they are allowed). There’s plenty of toys around the house for them to play with. I have a fenced back garden to ensure the safety of all fury babies.
About: I have looked after my own dog since she joined our family as a puppy 4 years ago. I am well skilled at training younger puppies and enjoy handling energetic dogs as she can be quite boisterous. I also now have experience sitting and walking dogs on Rover too. I’m currently studying Dentistry full time at university so weekends and week evenings are best for me. Unfortunately, my landlord does not allow pets so I’m not able to dog sit at my flat. Other than that, I am very keen on looking after dogs since I miss my own so much since moving out of the house! After learning how to train my own pup at home, I understand the different ways of using play and treats to make sure dogs are well behaved. I am a very clean person and will treat your home with same respect as if it were mine. With regards to safety, I’m experienced at handling very active dogs and am also DBS Security checked.
“Truffle had his first day care experience with Antonio and Patty. He did not look like he missed us at all. Though he was tired with the new place and new scent he looked very cheerful and happy. Thank you Antonio and Patty”

“My Howie is quite anxious and usually takes a little bit to warm to people, but within three minutes of meeting Emily he had his feet on her shoulder and was licking her ear! She was wonderful with him, looked after him on a very hot day, and he came home contented. I’ll absolutely use Emily again, she’s brilliant!”

“Sylvia was very welcoming to Ralph and very set up for dogs. She sent us photos of what they had been up to and had very good communication. We plan to use Sylwia again soon.”

“We had a great experience with Simran. He looked after Zeus all day and he was reliable, caring, and attentive throughout. We got updates during the day which gave us real peace of mind, and it was clear our dog was happy and well cared for. We’d definitely trust him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dependable sitter. When I picked Zeus up I could see he had a great time with Simran and he had enjoyed spending the day there.”
About: A loving, patient and experienced home-from-home for dogs and cats. I’m a huge animal lover with a real soft spot for both dogs and cats. I appreciate everything about them — their little personalities, their quirks, their loyalty, their independence, and the joy they bring into a home. Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to care for and spend time with many animals, both at home and during my travels. My profile includes photos of some of the wonderful dogs and cats I’ve looked after or met along the way, as well as testimonials from people who have trusted me with their much-loved pets. During my time working overseas, I worked closely with local animal shelters in my spare time, helping to care for and rehabilitate some of the most vulnerable dogs. That experience taught me the importance of patience, trust, gentle reassurance and understanding that every animal needs to feel safe in their own time. I know that no two pets are the same. Some dogs need playful energy, long walks and adventure, while others need calm reassurance, patience and a softer approach. Some cats love attention and company, while others prefer space, quiet and time to settle. I will always take the time to understand your pet’s routine, personality and comfort levels so they feel safe, happy and cared for. I currently live in a child and pet-free home due to regular travel for work, so I’m really looking forward to welcoming animals back into my home and giving them the love, attention and comfort they deserve. Whether your pet needs a walk, day care, an overnight stay or a longer visit, I will treat them as if they were my own. Your pet’s happiness, safety and routine will always be my priority, and I’ll do everything I can to make sure they feel relaxed, loved and completely at home. I work from home on Weekdays and will be available various Weekends also. Please ask me any questions you have. I know your pet is super important to you so having your mind at ease whilst they are here is super important to me. My home is currently child-free and pet-free, offering a calm and relaxed environment where your pet can feel safe and settled. I also have a fenced garden, giving dogs a secure outdoor space to play, stretch their legs or enjoy some fresh air. Whether your pet is full of energy and loves playtime, or prefers a quiet, cosy space to rest, I can adapt to what makes them feel happiest. I’ll give them attention, affection and reassurance when they need it, while also respecting when they may need a little space and quiet time.

I cannot recommend Tahra highly enough. My dog is very anxious, and this was the first time we had ever left her with someone she didn’t know, so naturally we were quite nervous. From the moment we met Tahra, we could see how calm and comfortable our dog was around her, which immediately put us at ease. We received updates very quickly, and it was clear that our dog had settled in and was happy and relaxed. Tahra is incredibly kind, caring and professional, and it’s obvious how much she genuinely loves animals. Finding someone you can completely trust with your pet is priceless, and we are so grateful to have found Tahra. Thank you again for taking such wonderful care of her!

My Howie is quite anxious and usually takes a little bit to warm to people, but within three minutes of meeting Emily he had his feet on her shoulder and was licking her ear! She was wonderful with him, looked after him on a very hot day, and he came home contented. I’ll absolutely use Emily again, she’s brilliant!

Lorren has such a warm and welcoming personality. Positive vibes all round, Ronnie took to her straight away. All that matters to me is that baby is comfortable and the sitter comfortable with Ronnie. There was continuous communication with updates. I will definitely be in touch with Lorren when needed and would recommend her 100%. Thank you Lorren xx

Our two doggos absolutely loved their day with Alberto and Kira. They came home and slept all evening. I will definitely be using Alberto for our regular dog sitting. After initially feeling anxious about leaving the dogs with another person, we immediately felt reassured that these guys would take good care of our dogs as soon as we walked in their very welcoming and loving home. They both have a new best friend in Kira and a home away from home. Thank you guys. See you soon!! 💗

Rachel was great looking after our 14 week old golden retriever puppy. She kept us updated throughout the day on his activities and feeding as well as sending us pictures and videos. This made us see and feel at ease with our first puppy daycare. Our puppy came home after enjoying a fun filled day, playing, napping and out to the park. Rachel was prepared with all the dog necessities and it always clear she is a dog lover and handles dogs really well. We definitely would use Rachel again and recommend her! Thank you Rachel!

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
