About: Hi! I’m Roni. 👋 I am a passionate dog lover with over 10 years of hands-on dog ownership and care experience. I am fully licenced for home dog boarding by Cannock Chase Council, Licence no. DogBoard/52/26, giving you complete peace of mind that your pet is in professional, official-standard care. Over the years, I have handled dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels—from tiny, clever Dachshunds to high-energy, bouncy Labradors. As a dog owner myself, I completely understand the anxiety of leaving your furry family member behind. I know exactly what owners need: absolute peace of mind, reliable updates, and a sitter who truly understands canine behavior. I promise to treat your pup with the exact same love, patience, and respect that I give to my own! I'm a full-time dog walker/boarder, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your dogs! I am available from morning (around 8am) to 5pm for daily drop-ins and dog walking. I'm also available at weekends with flexible hours. For the safety of your pets, all first-time clients MUST complete a Meet & Greet prior to booking. Safety and trust are my top priorities. When walking your dog, I always keep them securely leashed and stay fully alert to ensure a safe walk. With 10+ years of experience and pet first aid training, I monitor your pet's health closely. I also deeply respect your privacy, keeping your home clean and securely locked.
“Ruby had a fabulous stay with Marcia. She was treated like part of the family and enjoyed her play date with Lola and Ellie. She especially liked her sniffy walk and the chance to play chase in a very spacious garden. Will definitely use again!”

“Our 5 month old puppy had an absolutely amazing time with Megan. I felt really comfortable knowing that she was going to be well looked after, and Megan is clearly a natural with animals! Definitely recommend”

“Dzestina was absolutely amazing with Milo. Milo has never been left with anyone else but family. I was sent updates and photos of Milo which put me at ease knowing that Milo was in safe hands. Dzestina was very patient and went with Milo’s pace who eventually became comfortable with her. Thank you so much for all your help.”

“We are so lucky to have found Matt. It was the first time we left Watson with someone for the whole day. Matt made me feel reassured and he was extremely helpful. I would defo recommend Matt to look after your precious little one.”

“Wonderful family. Took Poppy on a trip out to the forest with their dog, Evie. Poppy can sometimes be a little unpredictable with other dogs and yet, they were fully mindful of this, gave her a lot of exercise, love and attention and gave her free reign of their house - their dog, Evie, is clearly very comfortable with other dogs around and overall I felt that this family go "above and beyond", even going so far as to drive over to my house to drop her off at the end of the day. Honestly one of the best experiences for myself and for Poppy and I would certainly use again. Just an amazing experience!! 5******”

“Lili dragged me from the car, to Hayley’s house and burst in, transparently delighted to greet Hayley and Josh again. She came home tired and happy, at the end of a fun-packed day. Everything I could want, in a pet sitter.”

About: I have missed our family pet very much and would love to be able to spend a bit of time with a furry friend. I have always been passionate about animals from a young age, I donate to various charities and did work experience at a boarding kennels. I am keen to get fit and healthy for the new year and would love a companion to take on long walks. I’d be happy to help with anything if I can and have always enjoyed meeting new people. If there’s anything else you need to ask please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I am lucky enough to be flexible with time for pet care at the moment. With a bit of notice it shouldn't be a problem! Whether at my home or yours I will cater for your pet as if they are my own. I live close to some lovely walks.

“Max came home relaxed and tired. Deirdre was lovely with Max, took him on 2 walks, and sent me updates with photos. Really glad to know that Max gets along very well with Sid. I’d definitely love for her to look after him again.”

About: I recently lost my 16 year old yorkie Daisy who was with us from a puppy. She was part of our family and we miss her terribly. Our home is too quiet now and I would love to take care ofyour fur baby if you would let me. We live in a bungalow with a secure fenced garden. We have no other pets or children around so your pet would be our priority whilst with us. We don't smoke and are both 63 years old. We have no boundaries in our home and your pets are allowed anywhere and on sofa or bed. I look forward to hopefully hearing from you. X I do not work as I'm a carer for my husband at home so I have plenty of spare time and love to give to your furbaby. Your pet would be well looked after at your home and I would follow any specific instructions that you give to me. I am very caring and trustworthy.
“Wish I could give Mark and Sue 10/10 they are fantastic. They have been pet sitting my dog after a recent bereavement and leaving her with them has been such a weight off my mind. They look after my dog Bella as if she were there own and she has settled with them so well. Thank you so much for your care and kindness it truly is appreciated 🙂”

About: I’m a proud and loving dog mom to a Cockapoo and have hands on experience with both Cockapoos and Cocker Spaniels, especially working dogs. Over the years, I’ve raised multiple puppies from their earliest stages, so I understand the patience, consistency, and extra attention they need to grow into happy, well adjusted dogs. I’m also confident caring for senior dogs, providing the gentleness, patience and a routine they rely on. My personal experience as a lifelong dog lover and caretaker means I treat every pup like family, making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable, whether we’re on a walk, playing, or simply relaxing together. Because I work from home five days a week, I have plenty of flexibility and time to give pets the attention they need throughout the day. I already take myself out for two walks daily, so it’s easy to bring a dog along for fresh air, exercise, and a change of scenery. This routine means I can offer regular toilet breaks, playtime, and cuddles :) I have a secure, fenced garden that’s perfect for playtime and fresh air, and I can easily accommodate crates if your dog is more comfortable with their own space or routine. I also share my home part time with my own Cockapoo - Alfie, who is super friendly and well socialised. He’s with me about 2 out of 4 weeks a month, and he loves having a playmate around. When he’s here, I make sure all introductions are done slowly and safely so everyone feels at ease.

Alyx was kind to agree to accept a very last minute booking to care for Malcolm in her lovely home which I so appreciated!! Upon meeting Alyx, I found her to be friendly and accommodating. I received texts and pictures of Malcolm and Maverick hanging out together. He looked quite content and happy to smile for the pics with his new buddy! I would highly recommend Alyx to care for your pups and would not hesitate to book her again.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
