About: I have taken care of other peoples pets for little over 5 years now along with my own two and decided to join Rover. I have experience with both cats and dogs. From feeding, walking, regular check ins, and playing. All depending on the animal and the requirements. I have boarded at my home before. I have also been trusted to stay at other people's homes while they've been away to look after their pets. So whether you're looking for a home from home for your dog. Someone to visit your home to spend time with your pets or just something as easy as making sure they get their required toilet break. Take a look around at my profile and information and I'll be happy to help you and yours. If my calendar is open, don't hesitate to drop me a message. I will always recommend a meet and greet beforehand so we can make sure everybody is comfortable. However if that's not possible, example being short notice same day booking then I'll be happy to discuss your needs in detail via phone beforehand. A little bit about me, I have my own insurance and I am DBS checked with a basic clean certificate to hand I am at home 7 days a week. So if my calendar is open and I have got any dates available for a service you require, i'll be happy to help and accommodate you and your pets. Don't hesitate to get in touch. ‼️NEW TO ROVER??‼️ 🎁USE MY CODE & GET £30 OFF🎁 https://www.rover.com/sit/leighg42528 24 Hour BOARDING / DAYCARE - there are two people in my home, a smoke free home, both adults, myself and a retiree, so there will always be someone to provide the care and attention for your dog 24 hours. I can't stress this enough your dog MUST be dog and cat friendly as I have a chihuahua and a cat. If your dog is good with other dogs but you are unsure with cats, then this is where meet and greets are ideal. Please have your dog up to date with flea treatment and inform me of anything medical I need to be aware of such as seizures. Your dog will get free roam of the house and garden. They are not in any type of kennel structure. They are more than welcome to sleep on beds or if they have their own bed or crate provided, great. My garden is fully fenced with high panels. I also have cameras in and around the home for extra security. I live a minute from 3 large fields, I am also surrounded by huge acres of land. So your dog would get all the exercise they require if they require. Not to mention less than a mile drive from Stafford Castle. I also provide my own client registration / consent forms either physical or digital for you to fill in on or before the agreed date of boarding which I can then refer to. Dog Walking - If it is just walking required then I can do whatever you need from 30 minutes to an hour. I prefer to walk one to one. I don't like walking a pack of dogs. 2 would be maximum. Pet Sitting - I have been trusted before to visit cats and dogs to feed, let out, or stay the night. Whether you need an hourly visit or longer feel free to ask.

About: My family has a long history of rescuing dogs! We rescued our much loved Australian sheep dog when I was 15, I helped train him and look after him for 9 years. I also cared for both my grandparents rescue dogs up until their old age I work from home full time. Fully remote! Would love a dog keeping me company in the house. The house is a bit of a renovation project I care for all animals with safety and respect. Happy to walk, feed, water, play with whenever they need. We have a walled garden and plenty of green space near by

About: I've had pets my entire life, so caring for animals comes naturally to me. Unfortunately we lost our lovely Labrador, Bella, at the end of 2025, but having other dogs in our home has been a wonderful way to ease the loss. I work for the UK's leading veterinary charity, giving me direct access to expert pet health advice, and I’m trained in pet first aid. I regularly look after friends’ and family members' pets, ensuring they feel right at home here. Your pets will have free roam of the house, with access to comfy sofas and beds. I work from home so pets will always have company, and can be walked multiple times throughout the day. If I have to leave your dog it will be for no more than a two hours. My garden is fully enclosed, and dogs will have free roam of the house and garden throughout the day. I have a 9 year old daughter who has been around pets all her life and is very nurturing.

Thanks for looking after floss and Stanley today. Great location. Samuel was fine with meeting us at the house. Dogs seemed to have had a nice time. Samuel advised us on how dogs had been. Very grateful for him looking after our dogs for us

About: We love spending time with dogs and have plenty of experience with them, having both grown up surrounded by dogs and until recently were proud dog owners, having had our boy since he was a pup. We’ve also got some outside space that borrowed dogs can use. We both work from home so have full availability on weekdays! We also won’t leave any dog in the house by themselves whether they’re happy to be left or not. We had a dog who had quite bad separation anxiety so we’re used to working our schedule around any furry friends! Your dog will have our full attention, we have a fenced garden so they’ll have space to wander as well. We also have bowls and beds already from our old pup.

Lili dragged me from the car, to Hayley’s house and burst in, transparently delighted to greet Hayley and Josh again. She came home tired and happy, at the end of a fun-packed day. Everything I could want, in a pet sitter.

Iona was most accommodating whilst taking care of Abe and his needs. He is a nervous dog and Iona was perfectly patient and understanding of his needs and Abe really came a long way with his confidence whilst In her care. Will definitely be using Iona’s services again.

About: I’ve been a cat owner for nearly four years and currently have three cats of my own – Belle (Domestic Long Hair), Elsie (Ragdoll) and Dobby (Domestic Short Hair). Caring for them has given me hands-on experience with cats of different personalities, temperaments and needs. I grew up around rabbits, guinea pigs, dogs and cats, so I’ve always been surrounded by animals. While I now only own cats, I still have experience caring for my family’s dog, so I’m comfortable around dogs as well. I also have experience caring for cats with medical conditions and administering medication. My Ragdoll, Elsie, was unwell for an extended period and required daily medication before she was successfully weaned off it. She now has a specialist gastrointestinal diet, so I’m confident following feeding plans, administering medication and monitoring a cat’s health. In addition to caring for my own cats, I’ve helped search for missing and stray cats alongside a local cat rescue. I’m passionate about animal welfare and believe every pet deserves to feel safe, loved and well cared for. I will always treat your pets with the same love, patience and attention that I give my own. I currently work fully remotely, with core working hours of 10:00am–3:00pm. Outside of these hours, I have the flexibility to manage my workload, allowing me to fit pet visits and care around my schedule. I also have my own car, so I’m happy to travel to care for your pets. I’m based in Trentham, Stoke-on-Trent, but I’m willing to travel to surrounding areas to provide reliable, loving care for your furry family members. I live in a two-bedroom semi-detached home with a secure, fenced garden, providing a safe outdoor space if required. My home is situated in a quiet residential area with plenty of local walking routes nearby, making it ideal for calm and enjoyable walks. I’ll always follow your pet’s usual routine, including feeding schedules, medication, exercise and any specific care instructions, to ensure they feel comfortable, safe and settled while in my care.

Great experience! He looked after our dog for 2 days while me and my partner were at work and took really good care of him. We got updates throughout, and our dog seemed very happy and comfortable. Reliable, friendly, and easy to communicate with — would definitely book again!

Top notch service, met up and walked my boy to make sure they were happy with him and vice versa. They all got on like a house on fire and then the day I dropped Rocket off to Hannah, she was already at the door to greet us before I got out the car, sent me a photo and messages checking what Rocket was like in different scenarios. Extremely thoughtful and considerate and will defo be using again in the future. Highly recommended.

Sophie is absolutely wonderful! She and her gorgeous pooch looked after our Luna (black lab) for the day today and Luna has been so happy since picking her up, she was very well looked after! Sophie’s communication was great through the day, and we shall certainly rely on her again going forward. Thanks so much!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Stafford on Rover is £26.45 per day (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 1,284 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Stafford. About 86% of Stafford sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Stafford commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
