About: Hello! I’m a dedicated and experienced pet sitter with a lifelong love of animals, I have owned cats and dogs since I was a baby and have grown up around animals. I currently care for five cats—four of whom are rescues, one of them being very nervous and shy which we are working through—and two dogs, including a high-energy Boxer and a long-haired Cockapoo. Living with such a diverse mix of personalities has given me hands-on experience with different temperaments, activity levels, and care needs. Having grown up with both cats and dogs, I’m very comfortable handling everything from playful, energetic pets to more nervous or shy animals that need extra patience and understanding. I take pride in creating a calm, safe, and positive environment where every pet feels secure and well cared for. I offer flexible services including house sitting, dog walking, and drop-in visits for feeding, playtime, or general check-ins. Whether your pet needs lots of exercise and stimulation or a gentle, reassuring presence, I tailor my care to suit their individual needs. I am currently working part time at a football stadium however the season has now finished meaning I have time available for pet sitting. I occasionally volunteer as I have a degree working with horses however that is dependant on my work schedule. I have two dogs that are extremely friendly and love meeting new dogs if there is a nervous dog in need of a friend on walks, I am constantly observing the behaviour of new dogs and cats in first meetings to ensure they are comfortable, I am always ready to play and offer different types of enrichment for both cats and dogs to decrease boredom!
“Charlotte was with my Louie for 7 days. She has updated Louie's stay, sent messages and photos every day and was so helpful and experienced. Louie came back to me a happy dog and I will definitely use Charlotte again in the future.”

About: I have grown up around animals and have had pets for most of my life. We currently have a 9-year-old Yorkshire Terrier named Scooby, who is a much-loved member of our family. I am confident caring for dogs of different ages and personalities, and I always provide a safe, loving and comfortable environment where pets can feel at home. I understand how important pets are to their owners and I treat every dog with the same care and attention I give to my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I have a very flexible schedule and spend most of my time at home, which allows me to provide plenty of supervision, attention and companionship throughout the day. I can easily adapt to your pet’s routine, including feeding times, walks, playtime and any special requirements they may have. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing are my top priorities. I provide a very clean, safe and loving home environment where pets are treated like family. “Lizzie is a lovely lady who looked after our dog,LOUIS, for a long afternoon. She sent us regular updates and photos and Louis didn't want to leave when we arrived to collect him. We would highly recommend her.”

“I met Jaine when I dropped Smartie off. She is really kind. There's a huge green space with fields just outside of their flat so they're perfectly located for dog sitting! Smartie enjoyed her day and had good snoozes & tummy rubs on the sofa.”

About: I have been around dogs all my life and am very passionate about meeting their needs with training and having fun! I live with my partner Nathan in Newcastle under Lyme near Stoke. I did care for a shi zhu called Chico on a regular basis when I lived back in Birmingham in which I walked, fed, bathed and trained, and have always had dogs in the family to practise and give all the love I’m a nurse but am able to take care of your pet around my schedule as I usually have 3 or more days off in the week. There is no set schedule meaning I’m available sometimes in the weekday and sometimes at the weekend I have no pets of my own because of my long shifts which is why I’d love to look after your fur baby. I am happy to walk pets, provide day care or drop in visits

I always follow their usual routines and adapt to their personality — whether that means playtime, walks, or quiet company. I live in the peaceful countryside, surrounded by nature, with a large, secure garden and open fields right outside my door — perfect for walks, exploring, and plenty of space to play. I work part-time from home, so I’m always around to give your dog constant care, company, and attention. Because I work from home, I can keep a close eye on your dog throughout the day — making sure they’re happy, calm, and cared for at all times. My home offers a quiet, low-stress environment where dogs can truly relax and feel at ease.

About: I’ve been a cat owner for nearly four years and currently have three cats of my own – Belle (Domestic Long Hair), Elsie (Ragdoll) and Dobby (Domestic Short Hair). Caring for them has given me hands-on experience with cats of different personalities, temperaments and needs. I grew up around rabbits, guinea pigs, dogs and cats, so I’ve always been surrounded by animals. While I now only own cats, I still have experience caring for my family’s dog, so I’m comfortable around dogs as well. I also have experience caring for cats with medical conditions and administering medication. My Ragdoll, Elsie, was unwell for an extended period and required daily medication before she was successfully weaned off it. She now has a specialist gastrointestinal diet, so I’m confident following feeding plans, administering medication and monitoring a cat’s health. In addition to caring for my own cats, I’ve helped search for missing and stray cats alongside a local cat rescue. I’m passionate about animal welfare and believe every pet deserves to feel safe, loved and well cared for. I will always treat your pets with the same love, patience and attention that I give my own. I currently work fully remotely, with core working hours of 10:00am–3:00pm. Outside of these hours, I have the flexibility to manage my workload, allowing me to fit pet visits and care around my schedule. I also have my own car, so I’m happy to travel to care for your pets. I’m based in Trentham, Stoke-on-Trent, but I’m willing to travel to surrounding areas to provide reliable, loving care for your furry family members. I live in a two-bedroom semi-detached home with a secure, fenced garden, providing a safe outdoor space if required. My home is situated in a quiet residential area with plenty of local walking routes nearby, making it ideal for calm and enjoyable walks. I’ll always follow your pet’s usual routine, including feeding schedules, medication, exercise and any specific care instructions, to ensure they feel comfortable, safe and settled while in my care.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life, both in the home and outdoors, so caring for them comes naturally to me. For the past 5 years, I’ve been a proud owner of Zara, my Golden Retriever, and for 8 years I’ve had my cat, Feli. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every animal with patience, love, and attention, just like my own. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or simply keeping them company, I make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and cared for at all times. I work from home while my two children are at nursery (morning–5 PM), so I have plenty of time to care for dogs, provide walks, and give them constant attention in a calm environment. I offer a safe and secure environment with a fully fenced garden. My dog is friendly and well-behaved, and my cat is calm and used to other animals. I always supervise pets to ensure a safe, relaxed, and loving atmosphere.

Dog owners share their Rover experiences - Newcastle-under-Lyme
We were absolutely delighted with the care that Debbie and Chris gave to our dog Maddie. They have a wonderful large secure garden, great for dog play. Our rescue Spaniel , is an escape artist, so that security is great. She had two lovely walks ,lots of ball play and cuddles with their 13 year old son. As we don't know the area and had a funeral to attend, it was a great relief to know she was being looked after so well. We would definitely recommend them and would use them again if the need arose.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
