Michael, his wife and two lovely labs have been brilliant with Seth. We arranged a pre-meet to introduce the dogs and to get to know each other. Seth has been for the day today and clearly had a brilliant time- backed up with some lovely photos and a big sleep when he got home. All of Seth's routines and needs (not always the easiest as a border collie and still a puppy!) were accommodated and we would definitely use Michael again.

About: Hi! I’m Colette, lifelong dog lover, treat pro, and belly-rub champion. I share my home with two friendly doggos – a playful Collie and a gentle Cavapoo – and we have joint custody of them, so sometimes your dog will have extra furry friends around. I make sure every dog feels safe, happy, and loved, whether it’s long walks, games of fetch, or cozy snuggles. With me, your furry friend gets more than a sitter—they get a loving home-away-from-home. I work from home, so your pup will never be alone! Daily care includes walks around the local nature reserve and fields, playtime with my friendly Collie and gentle Cavapoo, meals, treats, and plenty of snuggles. Flexible and attentive to every dog’s needs! Your dog will be cared for like part of the family! I have a secure, fully fenced garden where pups can run, play, and explore safely. Plus, we enjoy plenty of walks around the local nature reserve and fields, giving your furry friend fresh air, exercise, and new scents to sniff. With me, your dog will get meals, treats, cuddles, and constant attention while you’re away.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life, both in the home and outdoors, so caring for them comes naturally to me. For the past 5 years, I’ve been a proud owner of Zara, my Golden Retriever, and for 8 years I’ve had my cat, Feli. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every animal with patience, love, and attention, just like my own. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or simply keeping them company, I make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and cared for at all times. I work from home while my two children are at nursery (morning–5 PM), so I have plenty of time to care for dogs, provide walks, and give them constant attention in a calm environment. I offer a safe and secure environment with a fully fenced garden. My dog is friendly and well-behaved, and my cat is calm and used to other animals. I always supervise pets to ensure a safe, relaxed, and loving atmosphere.

About: I’ve been around dogs for a good part of my life and grew up with family dogs. More recently, I helped care for a Labrador for around a year and a half before moving out. I work from home, so I have plenty of time to give dogs attention, company and regular breaks throughout the day. I’m reliable, patient and happy to follow each owner’s routine to help their dog feel comfortable and safe while in my care. I work from home, which allows me to be flexible and give dogs plenty of attention throughout the day. Dogs in my care will enjoy lots of company, and I’ll make sure they have regular toilet breaks, playtime and a comfortable environment to relax in. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a clean and calm home environment and currently only accept one dog at a time so I can give your pet my full attention. I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual routine, including feeding schedules, walks and any specific instructions you may have.

About: I’ve been caring for friends’ dogs for the past three years, from lively puppies to calm seniors. During that time, I’ve learned how to make each dog feel secure, relaxed, and happy while their owners are away. I always follow their usual routines and adapt to their personality — whether that means playtime, walks, or quiet company. I live in the peaceful countryside, surrounded by nature, with a large, secure garden and open fields right outside my door — perfect for walks, exploring, and plenty of space to play. I work part-time from home, so I’m always around to give your dog constant care, company, and attention. Every dog I look after becomes part of my day-to-day life — they’ll get love, time, and comfort just like they would at home. Your dog’s safety is my top priority. The garden is fully fenced and secure, and I never leave dogs unattended outside. Walks are always on lead unless we’re in a completely safe, enclosed area. Because I work from home, I can keep a close eye on your dog throughout the day — making sure they’re happy, calm, and cared for at all times. My home offers a quiet, low-stress environment where dogs can truly relax and feel at ease.

Absolutely fantastic communication from Anca .. she clearly loves animals and was thoroughly professional . The home environment is safe and homely. Albert is a nervous little boy, but the videos that Anca sent throughout the day reassured me that he was in good hands and having a lovely time. I will definitely book Anca again.

About: Provide all basic care when you are away from home, including cat litter-tray cleaning, feeding, cutting nails, glooming hair, cleaning ears, brushing teeth… other pet services please message me🥰 Hi everyone, I’m Betty from Hong Kong, now living in Haslington. I speak fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin. I used to have a cat called Mou Mou who passed away on March 2024😢 We have a Facebook page for him, please feel free to like and follow us to see how my family interacted with him. Our family really loves animals and we treat Mou Mou as our family member, I used to spend lots of time with him, and now I feel so empty without him, hoping to spread my love to your pets. I believe animals can feel love from human, so animal lovers always attract animals🥰 When I was in Hong Kong, I design products like phone case, silk scarf and tote bag with pets’ photos provided by the owner, and make profit to support local pet shelters. Also, as a freelance photo retoucher(I edit photos using photoshop, in case many people have no idea what’s a retoucher☺️), I love photography as well, so trust me, aside from taking good care of your pets, a free “professional” photographer service📷 is provided (let me know if your pet not enjoy being a model, I understand some of them might feel stressed straight to the camera) I live in Haslington, near Sandbach, with 2 kids (6 and 4 years old) and I work from home staying at home most of the time. Cats are allowed to be anywhere in my house including all the furnitures and rooms.

Highly recommend Nicola- we left our dog with him for the day whilst staying in the Peaks and wanted to visit Alton Towers for one day. He is brilliant at communicating prior to the stay and we felt very happy leaving our dog with him. Really friendly guy who obviously loves dogs. Has a wonderful, big, secure garden and took Bluebell on a lovely walk too. Had great photos and updates through the day. Have no hesitation in recommending him and if we visit Alton towers again would definitely rebook! Bluebell had a great time. She was very relaxed after her stay. Thanks so much!!

We were absolutely delighted with the care that Debbie and Chris gave to our dog Maddie. They have a wonderful large secure garden, great for dog play. Our rescue Spaniel , is an escape artist, so that security is great. She had two lovely walks ,lots of ball play and cuddles with their 13 year old son. As we don't know the area and had a funeral to attend, it was a great relief to know she was being looked after so well. We would definitely recommend them and would use them again if the need arose.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Newcastle-under-Lyme on Rover is £28.75 per day (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 2,027 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Newcastle-under-Lyme. About 86% of Newcastle-under-Lyme sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Newcastle-under-Lyme commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
