“Fantastic sitter. Took our cocker spaniel for a day very last minute while we were on vacation nearby. Sent us photos and was very friendly and caring. Highly recommended and we will use again next time we are in the area. Thanks so much.”

About: I’ve been around dogs for a good part of my life and grew up with family dogs. More recently, I helped care for a Labrador for around a year and a half before moving out. I work from home, so I have plenty of time to give dogs attention, company and regular breaks throughout the day. I’m reliable, patient and happy to follow each owner’s routine to help their dog feel comfortable and safe while in my care. I work from home, which allows me to be flexible and give dogs plenty of attention throughout the day. Dogs in my care will enjoy lots of company, and I’ll make sure they have regular toilet breaks, playtime and a comfortable environment to relax in. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a clean and calm home environment and currently only accept one dog at a time so I can give your pet my full attention. I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual routine, including feeding schedules, walks and any specific instructions you may have.
“Delighted leaving our dog Oscar with Marni. She made everything very easy and welcoming for him. Felt happy leaving Oscar with her due to her care and attention to detail. Lots of communication throughout his stay and Oscar had the best time! Highly recommend!”

“I can’t say enough great things about Jenny! From the moment her and her son met my dog River, I knew she’d be in good hands. River can be a little shy with new people, but Jenny’s calm, caring energy immediately put her at ease. I received regular updates, adorable photos, and little notes that showed just how much love and attention River was getting. When I picked River up, she was relaxed, happy, and clearly well taken care of. 10/10 would recommend Jenny to anyone who wants peace of mind and a happy pup!”

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up in a family with a background in dog behaviour and training, so understanding dogs and their individual personalities comes naturally to me. From an early age, I learned how important patience, consistency, and positive interactions are in helping dogs feel happy, secure, and well cared for. I've spent years around dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, and temperaments—from energetic puppies who love to play to older dogs who prefer a quieter pace. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog's unique personality and making sure they feel comfortable, loved, and cared for while they're with me. I work from home full-time, which means I'm around throughout the day and can give your dog plenty of attention, supervision, companionship, and regular toilet breaks. Your dog will never be left alone for long periods and will always have someone nearby to keep them company. At my home, dogs are treated like part of the family. I have a fully secure, fenced garden where they can safely play, explore, and relax. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles on the sofa, or simply a calm and familiar routine, I'll tailor their care to suit their individual needs. When caring for pets in their own home, I always follow their usual routine as closely as possible to help them feel settled and comfortable. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I take pride in providing reliable, loving care and regular updates so you can enjoy peace of mind while you're away. As I work from home, dogs fit naturally into my daily routine. I'm home throughout the day, so they receive plenty of attention, companionship, regular toilet breaks, playtime, and exercise. Whether your dog enjoys being active or prefers a more relaxed environment, I can adapt to their needs and ensure they feel comfortable, happy, and part of the family while in my care. 🐾 At my place, pets are part of the family! We’ve got a fully fenced garden for them to play safely and plenty of love to go around. When I’m at your home, I stick to your routines so your pet feels happy and comfortable.
“Absolutely fantastic communication from Anca .. she clearly loves animals and was thoroughly professional . The home environment is safe and homely. Albert is a nervous little boy, but the videos that Anca sent throughout the day reassured me that he was in good hands and having a lovely time. I will definitely book Anca again.”

“Amazing people, listened to our dogs and understood their idiosyncrasies. First time day care for my pair and im glad it was with Andrea, great introduction on the meet and greet. Superb experience all round.”

“Charlie took such lovely care of Goose, who was taken on lots of walks and given lots of attention! A very safe pair of hands to leave your dog with, and great communication so we were always kept up to date and had nothing to worry about. Would highly recommend Charlie, thank you!”

“Mollie was so sweet with Bonnie and look forward to seeing them bond further! Great communication too and photos through the day :) Glad we found someone great to look after her every week”

“Lizzie is a lovely lady who looked after our dog,LOUIS, for a long afternoon. She sent us regular updates and photos and Louis didn't want to leave when we arrived to collect him. We would highly recommend her.”

“As a first time doggie day care/ rover app user for our poochon Millie, I can not recommended Helena enough and can’t thank her enough for the level of service. She was amazing from start to finish. She really helped us to feel comfortable with her by letting us do a meet and greet before hand and see where Millie would be spending her time. Throughout the four days she sent photos and messages to ensure that we could see that Millie was enjoying herself and felt settled. I would definitely rebook with Helena and if I could give her a 10 star review, I would.”

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
